I want to make a character that draws plants and animals for reference so that people know what's dangerous and what's safe as a job. Is that okay?
I'd like to join!
To them it seems so black and white
We are better
We are better
To them it seems as clear as light
We are better than you

To them it seems like black and gray
We did nothing
We did nothing
No one takes responsibility
We did nothing to you

To them it's only grey and gray
We know better
We know better
But this war still stands today
We know better than you

No one's innocent, no one's ever been
They can't think
They can't think
But they think so, and that's what we need
They can't think like I do

Hello, everyone, and welcome! First off, sorry if this whole outline seems a little unpolished or rushed, I wanted to get it out really fast, so this might be sort of lackluster. But anyway, this RP is about three cities locked into a war no one will take responsibility for and no one is willing to stop. No one even knows how it started, in fact, most people don't remember it starting, as the war started sixty years ago, and many have died since then. The cities are as follows.

The City of Wings- A city placed in the sky, often complimented for it's beauty. The city many butterflies and small birds rest on the floating island, but the residents get around on large birds they can fly on.

I was inspired from Skyloft in Skyward Sword.

Combat: As expected, residents use their flying ability to their advantage. They often use short swords in combat. Even with their predictability, it's not easy to match their skill, thus still making them formidable foes.

Position in war: They believe themselves to be pure, nobel people who were wronged at some point in time and must punish those who wish to corrupt them or make them less than they believe themselves to be.

The City of The Bitter- A town run down and dark. Everything always seems gloomy. Everyone looks unhappy and in a state of unwellness. But don't let that fool you, because they don't need your sympathy. The moment violence, food, valuables, or anything else an individual may want is on the line, they become bloodthirsty savages. That smell in the air is definitely blood, and those screams are definitely those of the dying. Fighting is common here, and often fighting doesn't stop until someone sheds blood. If it's a serious matter, until death.

Combat: They rarely use weapons, but find that they just don't need them. A pocket knife at the most. They often bite, claw, punch, and kick, but the strength of the average Bitter could make what they consider a scuffle very challenging to live through if you don't have rather intense training.

Position in war: Their main enemy in the war are the Wings, and vise versa. They believe they were wrongfully attacked by the Wings, and thus choose to retaliate any way they could.

The City of Time- A city hidden between the mountains, frozen in a place in time. People find that when they enter the mountains they do not age for as long as they're there. Yet, they never seem to even recall going to the mountains once they leave. They only people that seem completely aware of the towns are the other two locked into war.

Combat: Everyone is skilled in hand-to-hand combat, and they all often carry another weapon or tool with then, personalized for their style of combat. Once the leave the mountains, they continued to remain frozen in time, and the world seems frozen too. They carry around a strange mechanism that consists of wood attached to multiple strands of ribbon. When they place it down and activate it, it allows them to be seen and let time pass. Once they fall out of range of the mechanism, time freezes for them once again. It's a challenging system to fight against, and pretty confusing to the outsider, but it isn't impossible.

Position in war: They got involved simply because both sides accused them of working with the other. They claimed the war was pointless, yet they participated anyway, and have made no attempts to stop or even stopped participating in the war.

So basically what will happen is that one day your character decides to leave the city in an attempt to find out how to stop the war. This leads them to meet the other characters, all of whom hold an item important to them personally, such as a book or necklace, or anything, really.

Rules:
1. Combat is enevitable, and death is possible. PM the owner of a character before any combat begins so that you both know how it will play out.
2. Just the usual, no god-modding, no unfriendliness in the OOC, that stuff.
3. You can make as many character as you feel you can handle. I myself am going to make one in every city.
4. If you have questions or cool ideas, please tell me them, I'd love to answer your question or hear your idea!
5. This is a low casual RP, so write only as much as you feel is good quality. I prefer quality over quantity!
6. Have fun~!

I'll join! You know, the other say I was watching the show and thought it would make a really good RP.
Name: Karen Wells
Age: 30
Former country of residence: USA
Any family coming to the colony: Her adopted daughter, Carmen, a girl she meet while in Mexico. There's a bit of a wall between them, since they can't speak the same language, but both happen to know a decent amount of American Sign Language. Both are trying to learn the others spoken language.
Any family NOT coming to the colony: Her parents and her twin brother, along with a few friends
Are they a member of Moonpeace?: No, but if she saw good reason to join, she would.
Job: Doctor
Personality: A fairly serious person, she knows how to get her job done. She always tries to be kind to anyone she meets, but is a tad judgmental. Though cold and often stoic, it isn't uncommon of her to be nurturing and make jokes. She finds herself thinking deeply very often, and keeps a detailed journal, as she doesn't like to lose the little moments. She sometimes takes pretty big risks in order to get highly beneficial outcomes, either for herself or for someone else.
Slight History: Her childhood was fairly average but loving. She joined a special course for medical training in high school, but she was otherwise your average student with an average home life. She worked in the medical field for most of her adult life, and is very comfortable with the environment. One time it was rumored she was involved in some questionable experiments, but the court found no evidence of the experiments existence, much less her involvement. After the events of the trial, she took a vacation to Mexico to take her mind off of it. There she meet Carmen, the young orphan she later adopted through means that probably required a few pulled strings. Though they don't say a lot to one another, they seem to like one another. She has few relationships outside of the hospital, and even there she has no real close friends. Her romantic history is pretty short, as she normally doesn't enjoy having long relationships. Overall, the world sees her as your average doctor, thought rumor has it she's a bit more than that.

This RP seems cool, so I hope everything checks out!
Cool, I'm glad this got some interest! I've been busy with testing these past few days, but I'll be checking the site often and I'll usually try to respond to something if I can! I'll out up the CS if A few more people get on board!
I also have interest, if you'll take me I'm in!
Many years ago, during a vague yet terrifying time, the world was not comprised of cities, but countries as well. The wars and distrust tore them apart, leaving them separated from one another. Violence was nearly a constant in this world, and diplomacy wasn't practiced in the manner we now know.

One day, one of these countries, a very important one, suddenly and unexpectedly had it's economy fail. Many others, who had been relying on the country, failed as well. Eventually people were panicing, begging for the safety of their country and and wanting nothing more than to have themselves protected.

Then a wise man we now know as our leader stood above the crowds and spoke. He promised safety and a place for everyone. No more fear. No more war. The idea was inticing, and many people agreed instantly. Though some fought back, everyone eventually conformed to the new world of The Emerald Empire.

Everyone is now safe and sound. Everyone is happy and healthy. There has been no greater time then the centuries under King Oliver Dent.

You've heard that same speech so many times, over and over. Yet, deep in your heart, you know it was a lie. You have always known this on some level. Something was wrong. This isn't working. You need to change it.

One day, in some way, shape, or form, you were asked to leave your home. Be it a person, a letter, a telepathic thought, whatever. You were asked to leave. No further instructions were given. After some time, be it an hour or a year later, you finally decide to leave the land you call home.

***

Hello there! Welcome to my roleplay! As you saw from the introduction, this is a roleplay set in the distanct future after a country (Germany, to be specific) had it's economy suddenly collapse, bringing a good chunk of Europe with it. Everyone begin to panic, as this would only lead to a domino effect of failed countries. Everyone wanted a safe way out, and Sir Oliver Dent promised as much.

This lead to the unification of the world, renamed The Emerald Empire, named after the promise of a stable economy. The world was divided into large cities made to fill out certain tasks and responsibilities. Like the Hunger Games, except I'll be taking it a much different direction.

Your character will be a resident of one of these cities. As mentioned, you will be told to leave in some way. You don't know who the person or the thing came from, but a mysterious G.O.M. is mentioned.

Also, during the RP, your character will eventually gain some sort of magic/supernatural power or form (or anything else you can think of) through means I'll keep hidden for now, explained through the power of science. Pick something you think fits your character.

Now then, here are the rules:

1. As usual, follow the basics. I figure it doesn't need to be said, but you can never be too careful~!
2. Character death is allowed, but don't kill without permission. Those concerned should PM about how and when it'll go down if you agree to do so.
3. You can make as many characters as you feel you can handle. I myself want to do four, but I might cut one or two.
4. If you have any questions or suggestions or cool ideas, please tell me, I'd love to hear them!
5. In this world, the only people allowed to have last names that aren't English (or English sounding) are residents of La Ciudad de la Noche, but first names can be of any origin. Also, English is The Empire's language, and learning a new language is forbidden, again with the exception of La Ciudad de la Noche, where children are often taught foreign languages first and don't learn English until they're about ten, and the adults who stubbornly refuse to learn English are relocated there.
6. This is going to be sort of low casual, as I strongly believe in quality over quantity. However, decent spelling and grammar is expected.
7. Have fun!

The cities are as follows. If you want to know more about a city or cities, just ask me here on the forums for a specific question or PM for a more broad description of the culture and customs of the city. Also, if there's a city you think we need, do to be afraid suggest it.

Emerald City- The Capital
Home of nobles and meeting place of representatives. Very lavish life style if you aren't a servent.

Cralion- City of Medicine
Where doctors and herbalists make remedies and treat patients.

Blaringville- City of Economy
Where the budget is sorted out and money printed and distributed.

Frescay- City of cooks
Where food is prepared and sent to other cities.

Valvilla- City of Knowledge
Where all of the knowledge in the world is kept. Usually only the highest of officials are allowed to actually read it.

Greywood- City of Schooling
Where children who don't learn well in their own cities go to learn what they need and then be immigrated to another city. Two children every ten years are brought to the school if they have some sort of excellent promise in their field.

Zinton- City of Manufacturing
Where materials are taken and used to create finished products.

Waterridge- City of Science and Technology
Where tests are carried out and technology is made.

Whitlow- City of Energy
Where the world power is created

Marcson- City of the Military
Where the military is trained and stationed.

Colist- City of Material
Where food is farmed and raw materials collected .

Briar- City of Labor
Where laborers are located. Some of them are taken to another city in their teenage years to work for another city and do not return until they can not work or the city decides there's no need for them to work. It's the luck of the draw for them.

Briton- City of Entertainment
Where dancers/singers/actors/etc. live and practice their work.

La Ciudad de la Noche- City of Langauge and Fiction
Where literature is celebrated and the only legal place to learn a foreign language.

Aus- Land of Improsionment
Where prisoners are kept and police keep watch of them.

If I have some people interested, I'll put up a CS so you can start making ideas. And remember, no idea is a bad one, because not all ideas are built when you first encounter it.

Hope you don't mind I added a personality slot~!

Appearance: A pale woman with long black hair. She has brown eyes, a bright smile, and never looks dull. She often wears make-up and very fashionable clothing. Rumor has it that she has an outfit for everything. Stands about five foot six and has a frail frame.
Name: Suzy Jones
Age ((High School)): 16
Gender: Female
Personality: She's a drama club student with a great fashion sense. She has a very keen sense of gaming but refuses to let anyone know because she's affraid to be classified as a fake gamer girl. While she does tend to act out on stage, she's very conscientious about labels and hates being viewed negetively, her least favorite label being weird. She acts nice, but hides a lot of herself to prevent criticism, truly a victim of social expectation. As a result of trying to be perfect, she's rather immature once she faces any "problem" and her emotions can be sudden and explosive. She has a lot of people she hangs out with, but she doesn't have any real friends.
Other: She tries so hard to fit in that she has very little clue about what her own sense of morals are.
