Name: Christopher Simmons
Supername: Implosion
Age: 28
Genes: ME
Powers: Projects Force-fields which can be imploded, exploded, or dissolved. Can change the size of the Force-fields and move them after creating them as well. The movement is used to fly sometimes, though it tires him fairly quickly to move heavy objects.
Skills: Chemistry, Electrical/Mechanical engineering, including supertech. He runs the forensics for the Harborvale branch of Phoenix Security.
Personality: He likes technology, and especially likes supertech, the advanced technology that is common among government and scientific groups but rare or unheard of as far as the common people are concerned. A geek, he spends his free time building super tech and hopes to one day move to Mars or the asteroid belt.
He doesn't mind helping people that need his help, as long as they actually need it and aren't just getting him to do their work for them.
Bio: He comes from a family of heroes. His Father's Father, David Simmons, started his career as a superhero in the 40s, though when he got married in '48 he gave up his vigilante ways to work short-term private security, private investigation, and bounty hunting jobs, his wife growing a garden and watching the kids. Chris's Mother's father, Christopher Harris, was a mechanic, working on cars until one of them fell on him and his physical catalyst gene activated, giving him invulnerability and super strength. David met him after learning about his powers and convinced him to start working on supertech.
Harris soon opened up a parts store, selling performance car, boat, and plane parts, as well as supertech parts to select clients. David's son started working for him in the 80s, where he met Harris's daughter. They got married a few years later and, when Harris decided to retire, Chris Simmon's father took over the shop.
Chris grew up working on supertech with his father. He wasn't born with powers, like his sister, but he learned all he could about supertech to make up for it. He used this knowledge to get strait A's in school, a perfect math score on his SAT, and even built a force field generator for the school science fair when he was a senior. A few seconds after he plugged it in, though, the field collapsed outward, creating a shockwave that destroyed several of the nearby displays and injured several people. It even threw him several feet away from the device.
When Chris woke up he found that he could now create a forcefield around himself. The "explosion" put a black mark on his record, causing the colleges and scholarships he had applied for to reject him. Without the ability to pay for college, he looked into moving to space and working on space craft. While his history with supertech interested the shipyards on Mars, they refused to hire him without a college degree. He did, however, find that the Phoenix base on Mars would accept his transfer after ten years of employment with them, and they had security spacecraft that protected high value shipments between the planets. He got a job with the local branch of Phoenix in Harborvale nine years ago, and keeps their equipment in top order while running their forensics.
Equipment: Graphene fiber weave armor (highly heat and electrically conductive, with a higher tensile strength than steel. Stronger than Kevlar, and resistant to temperature changes and electrical discharges.), lightning gun (adjusts the amperage based on the setting, to change between different taser strengths). Has built comms equipment for the team, but can't build a portable shield generator small enough due to the huge power requirements.
