Carver blinked his glazed eyes. All this talk of business and deals had put him into a fugue. By the sun, this survivor could talk a whole day away. He saw Separ standing next to him and coughed.

"Ah. Yes. I slept... uncommon well, in fact, considering the previous day's events." With that, the Knight stepped into the middle of the group. "If I might refocus the discussion, there is an enemy horde loose in this area, and they have shown that they are willing to commit acts of terrible barbarism. It might be best to find a heading and proceed from there, discussing what we must while on the road."

And done! Will get kingdom sheet up later.
Right, right, sorry, forgot Separ wa stalking to Carver. I was just waiting for the transactions to end - thought it might be best if Carver didn't step in that.

I'll get a post up when I get home.
I'll get my sheet up later, I'm at school at the moment.
Hmmmm. I think I'll go with a hunter type character who dabbles in alchemy and stuff like that.

Personality wise, he's going to be pretty much decent, if a little bit arrogant and self-important. I'll be fleshing it out as things develop.
Hmmmm. Okay, no witch hunters is fine. Perhaps I'll play more of a hunter/explorer type, then? Because I like the core idea of 'character who uses tools / planning / prep time' to win fights, so if you've got tips on how I might incorporate that into the RP world, that'd be super!
Interested, if there are any more spots. Counting is hard.

What's the monster situation in this world? Would a Van Helsing / Witcher sort of 'professional supernatural hunter' kind of character be viable?
Nah, I think it's in everyone's best interest if Carver doesn't weigh in on this little encounter. :p
Arastoph is actually really interesting to me. If I may put it in DnD terms, he seems like a character who put a lot of points into Intelligence and Charisma, but used Wisdom as a dump stat.

Because he's brilliant, right? That much is clear. Dude's brain is going a mile a minute, trying to weasel as much as he can out of any given situation or even conversation. I think that aspect of his character ties in really well with his backstory, But... he doesn't seem to have much of a sense for picking his battles. Like, sure, he's smart enough to con the paladin and profiteer off the oracle and lie and swindle and steal and trick, but at the same time he's not smart enough not to. I think a truly clever person would look at the situation he's in (isolated, away from his wealth, traveling with a group of sort of volatile people through enemy territory), and decided that he could hold off on the lying and conning for a day or two until he got back to civilization.

All said, I really like Arastoph and how you're playing him. (I mean, I sort of like him. I think he's interesting, but he is a goddamn dickass). I think it'll be interesting to see how his dynamic with the party evolves, particularly with Vis and Carver.
Carver turned at the survivor's voice and spread his hands wide. "Love the skeptic, for the light needs not thanks to fall upon one's face. You are permitted to your theory, and I to mine." He patted the gnome on the head. "That she is, my friend. She is made of power, bent to noble purpose. And how magnificently she shines!"

He glanced around the camp. It seemed almost everybody was waking now - even the witch was attempting to assert her feminine wiles upon the survivor. The sight interested Carver little, however - he was much more relieved to see Alula, sitting up and rubbing her eyes from the light. He smiled warmly and nodded to her slightly - the two could speak privately later about the symbol, and Carver's obviously mystical dream. The others need not be troubled about it, not yet.

"My friends," he said to the general company, "We have much to discuss. First, know that I received a visitor last night - I woke up to find a child sleeping beside me. I know not where he came from, as I did not wish to disturb him; he slumbers still. Secondly, we must chart a course towards the next town or city, warn someone about the evils we have witnessed. I know little of this land, so I will leave this portion of the plan to you. All voices are welcome, and none need fear to share their opinion."
