Cin took the rifle when it was offered, taking a moment to just weight it in her hands before digging a handful of bullets from one of the pockets in her long coat and loading them. Bringing it up and pressing the butt to her shoulder, she sighted down the barrel of the gun and fired three shots with a steady pause between each. Two of the three were rewarded with a soft 'ping' when they hit their marks and sending emptyy cans tumbling back over the ridge line.

"Two years ago I was robbing a horse farm with Des." She said shortly, firing another three and swearing softly when this time only one hit it's mark. "I was his partner. We we're doing fine. I never got left behind and we never messed up. We hit stores, breeders, trains, cattle, you name it we raided it." Three more, finding their marks and causing Cin to grunt briefly in satisfaction.

"And now what? He's got a new fancy partner and I'm demoted to damn campfire babysitter while you all get to do the job I've been doing since I could ride!" Her aim was affected by her still rising temper and the shots missed again, leaving Cin with no more bullets and a sour scowl on her face when she let the gun drop from her shoulder. She held it back out to Laura, looking the woman's way only briefly before averting her eyes back to the red dust between her worn boots.

"Dezzy would never leave me behind if he could avoid it." She mumbled, still frowning at the dirt as if this was all it's fault. "Now he does it ever time Kacey says jump. He just asks how high and leaves me to sit and wait like a kid or something."
Cin was angrily kicking up dust when she heard a voice from behind, shooting a glare over her shoulder before recognizing it for Laura. Immediately she slowed her stride, expression easing and some of the tension she seemed to have been carrying around easing out of her narrow shoulders. Cin had looked up to Laura from the minute she and Des had joined up with the gang, often finding whatever excuse she could to tag along with her or run some of the easier errands together. Kacey was strong sure, and a leader there was no doubt. But Laura was nice, and friendly. Her first female friend really, sure Des had done his best but there were somethings you just never wanted to talk about with your surly surrogate brother that you needed a girl to chat about.

"You're a part of it sure, your sis runs things and you get to go into town whenever you want." Grumbled Cin. Less angry, sure. But no less indignant over the matter. Still she wouldn't risk snapping at Laura, she recognized the gesture for what it was and was glad actually for the excuse to get some shooting in. "I just make sure Des put's his boots on the right feet and watch the packs whenever you guys go running off for the fun stuff. A monkey could do that. The spic could do that. Hell my damn horse could do that!"

Huffing she kicked out at a rock, watching it clatter of the path before tucking an errant strand of hair back behind her ear rather forcefully. "I could be the best damn shot here and Kacey still wouldn't let me go with you all. You heard her, I'm a half cocked child more likely to get someone hurt then actually get shit done in her eyes."
Cin was stunned, red faced and staring down at the dirt between her dusty boots as she endured Kacey's lecture. It was humiliating, being scolded like a child in front of everyone when all she had wanted to do was be more helpful then stay back and sit watch. It felt like a step back, like joining Kacey's gang had been a gain just for Desmond and not so much for herself. While he got to run off and help with heists they used to joke about ever running she was stuck sitting back at camp in the dust with the french frog. Not what she called a good time.

"Keeping me here is putting people in danger." She muttered once Kacey was finished and seemed to have moved on. Desmond shot her a glare from beneath the brim of his hat, warning her off. Cin shrugged off his attempt to catch her by the shoulder, storming away and ignoring his exasperated sigh. She had heard his speeches before cautioning her to reign in her temper or mellow out when talking to the boss. Not to snap at her. Hell she practically had them memorized at this point. Hearing them all over again wasn't going to be of any help.

"Boss? She's just trying to help." Des said after Kacey, once Cin was out of ear shot for the most part and dropping his voice to ensure she wouldn't overhear. Only thing that seemed to make her angrier then being treated like a child was when Desmond stood up for her to Kacey. "She's getting stir crazy, why not bring her along and just let her work provisions on one of the smaller hits we do? I'm not talking the bank, but something smaller maybe? Just to keep her from biting my head off about splitting off on our own to get back into action? I'm not much good to you headless or gone."
@Rose Sure! She'd be down for that:)
@Rose Basically :P Don't out her! It's embarrassing hehehe
"He may be an ass but he got me outta working a bank with a drunk, so there's that." Des spoke up, somewhat in Maverick's defense as unenthusiastic as it was. He had made his way to his horse by now, having listened to the insesent chatter in the camp with very little mind towards commenting. The assignments didn't bother him much, sure he didn't like the idea of working alongside Emily when she seemed to reach for a bottle at the drop of a hat and never was far from some sort of liquor but he was confident enough in Kacey and himself that things wouldn't go wrong. And he had no problem with Cin being told to stay here at camp either. She was quick and good to have in a fight sure, Des had made sure of that. But that didn't mean he was against having her out of trouble. Cin could start a brawl in an empty house with her temper, trouble seemed to follow her around so camp might be the best place for her. Clearly she didn't think as much though.

"How come I can't come with?" She jumped to her feet in indignation, fist balled at her sides as she spoke directly to the older Johnson. "I could help Laura, more people more hands right? I'd be more helpful there then sitting in the dust here waiting for you all to come traipsing back on in."

"Who said anything about traipsing." Des tapped her on the shoulder in passing, trying to distract her to divert her temper. Snipping at the boss wasn't going to get her any favors here but she seemed determined not to be ignored.

"Don't make jokes about it. I'm not a kid, you know that when we ran on our own you never held me back. Now all I do is sit on my ass while you guys get to do all the fun stuff!" To say she was indignant was a start, more like feeling like she was being treated like a child. She and Des had joined the gang not too long ago, long enough to feel comfortable for the most part though. But in that time Cin had felt more then a little held back. She was younger then most others in the group sure, but she refused to see that as a draw back especially after the work she and her self adopted brother had done in their time on their own. And Desmond seemed to not have much issue with the set up as she would've hoped, instead usually backing Kacey whenever she ordered Cin to stay put and wait.

"It's not fun stuff, it's work. Till you get that that's why you stay put." Desmond said with finality, seeming to not really have the interest or energy in rehashing this argument. It was an old one between the two of them. After a pause though Des shrugged and gesture in Kacey's direction. "'least I'm assumin'. Listen to the big boss, okay?"
Sorry it took so long for me to post! Family craziness 0.o
Des was laid out not far from the camp's central point, his head resting on his dust ridden pack and hands folded on his chest. His hat, battered as the rest of his clothes, was tipped over his face and hiding most of it from the sun. He had been awake for some time now, listening to the camp wake around him and start their day. He waited for the boss's voice though, that was the only one that really warranted paying attention to far as he was concerned. Certainly in the morning hours when he'd rather still be sleeping.

As he usual orchestrated, he wasn't far from Cinnamon. His surrogate sister called him paranoid and over protective, Des was rarely ever out of ear shot from her if he had anything to say about. Which he usually made a point to have. His biggest opposition on the matter was Cin herself, but this morning it didn't seem to be much of an issue for her. She'd flopped down the night before close by, and this morning was sifting through her things near by.

"Maybe if you stopped buying cheap ass cups they'd stop breakin" Cin shot in Alex's direction, huffing as if insulted by the term 'klutz'. There was a snicker from under Des's hat but she ignored it, tucking a strand of her unruly auburn hair behind her ear and returning to searching her pack. "Quality over quantity, a dozen cheap cups are no good to no person if they break soon as you set them down."

"As if you've got anything of quality" Snorted Des, finally rising from the dust and tipping his head back. Cin stuck her tongue out his way, throwing a spare boot in his direction which he managed to dodge bleary eyed though he was.

"Take that back 'afor Trip hears you!" She scolded, catching the boot when it was thrown back at her an unable to keep the sever look she'd adopted on her face for more then a second. Not when Des reached out and ruffled her hair and mumbled his usual disgruntled sounding
'mornin' trouble'

Name~ Desmond or Dezzy to close friends who know how to dodge a friendly punch to the face

Age~ 29

Gender~ male

Personality~ Dry sense of humor and little patience for fools, quick to say his mind and quicker to back it up with his knuckles. Does not enjoy having his time wasted. When he's at ease though simple enough to talk to. Having Cinnamon around helps with that. Can even crack a joke or two, if he doesn't think you're an idiot.

History~ His father ran a brothel out of an old hotel, Desmond was one of three children being raised there at the time. Became close friends with Cinnamon, a girl being raised there as well and a few years younger then him. He unofficially adopted her as his little sister, keeping an eye out for her and when he became old enough to run off on his own taking her with him. Des had no interest in running the place in his father's steps and when it was suggested Cinnamon might start working there when she grew old enough decided it was time to leave. Not one for half measures, Des made sure his dad wouldn't come after them by putting a bullet in him and stealing all the cash the man had to take with them. As well as his father's horse, guns, and favorite coat which was far too big for him at the time but he'd always been jealous of. He and Cin were on their own for a bit roaming from town to town, taking odd jobs here and there and scraping by somehow. Then came the Johnson gang.

Weaknesses~ Cinnamon is first and foremost, Des sees her as his little sister. Carrying himself usually as a blunt or cold person, Des has issues with opening up to others or turning his back to them. Nothing in particular caused this insecurity, just years of having to look out for himself and Cin. Even before they ran off on their own, Des was basically without support despite the amount of people that were always around them. A child is easy to miss in a crowd of women lifting their skirts for coin. Likes his drink.

Strengths~ A quick shot and a quick fist, decent rider when it comes to it but prefers his boots on the ground. Quicker that way. Carries a bull whip, reaches for that before his gun and is tough to match when he's got it snapping over head. Pretty good at reading people, much as he hated the brothel he picked up a trick or two there when it came to figuring out what people wanted. Which is why he tends to be pretty distrustful, what people want rarely lines up with what he and Cin want after all.

Other~ Still has his father's horse, a big long legged thick barreled gelding he calls Lucian with a dark bay coat. His father called him spot, but Des thought that was stupid since the only white on the horse was a few socks so he changed it.

One shot one kill, all luck no skill

Name~ Cinnamon, Cin

Age~ 18

Gender~ female

Personality~

History~ Her mother worked in a brothel and didn't put much effort into raising Cinnamon. Instead she was raised mostly by the woman as a group, alongside one or two other children born from nights with Johns. One of them was Desmond. Their history is connected from start to current.

Weaknesses~ Sheltered, or as sheltered as a gang runner can be. Des did solid work keeping her ignorant to most of what her mother was up to and the situation around their departure. Naive and often rushes along head first without a second thought.

Strengths~ A fair shot, better with a horse then Des could have ever taught her. Picked it up on her own and through being on the road constantly. Pretty decent hand when it comes to throwing a stitch or two, a good medic when you can't get to a healer fast enough. And when it comes to tracking? She always ends up taking the lead there with no protest from Des when they were on their own.

Other~ stole a dappled grey filly soon as she decided she was too big to ride behind Des on Lucian anymore. Calls her Trip.
