Hurrah for poststuff. :]
I've got a start on my side, just need to finsih up things.

Ha, nice.
It's amazing how many times I've gone back and forth from, "This math is right," to "wait, no..." and back again, when it comes to the timeline.
Did you ever decide what month/day he was born in?

The government threatens the 2nd, and 4th amendment rights. The people who bitch get labelled right wing morons. They start lettinf big business control the internet....now they've gone to far. Privacy and self defense can go as long as I have facebook and 4chan....Figures."Take my gun, and my privacy....but you'll never take....my PORN! FREEEEDOM!!"

That's missing the point of the issue. And to make a petty complaint about a topic only semi-related. No one even made a comment about any other rights issues.
The other rights issues are important, too, though you could argue a lifetime away about the difference between the liberty/rights of an individual versus its deserved regulation because of the resulting impact on another individual.

This is an issue of freedom of speech and the freedom to choose the content you use. That should matter to you. I would argue the first matters more. If there's a problem, and you don't have the freedom of speech, you can't argue that something is wrong. You can't have an unfavorable, minority opinion. And that leads to stagnation, oppression, and no question of the norm or standard.

Another thing: This won't get remotely the same kind of press those issues always do (except maybe aspects of privacy issues). Which hurts the chances that anything will be done about it or anyone will know or care. That automatically creates a bigger problem for the whole population. However much you value one right or another.
This is infuriating and disappointing all at once. I expected it, but it sucks just how bad it is, now. Shit for the Internet and basic human rights in the U.S. keeps getting taken down so that the companies get more convenience and/or cash.

There is no reason why this should be happening. It doesn't hurt the company in any way to have Net Neutrality (they get more without it, but by means neither competitive nor capitalist), and it harms everyone to lose it. Because the companies are guaranteed to abuse its absence, and there's little to no other options to avoid or discourage the abuse.

It's good some people notice what's going on, but this'll probably never get in the news the average person sees for any significant period of time.

HAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHA! Sure, ISPs elsewhere may not restrict the speed, but they restrict the content. Americans will pay through the nose for the freedom of saying, doing and surfing whatever, while the rest of the world gets cheap internet that's censored. Even developed countries aren't excused, the UK has already set up a morality censor that you must opt-out of if you want to see porn or anything "objectionable" (defined, of course, by the government).

What happens if you opt out of the morality censor?
Also. When was Roland born?

(EDIT) Forgot this originally: Thanks, Vakte, for the answer earlier.

I'd guess that's part of the ~joke~

Basically doing the equivalent of "Really?" or repeating what someone already stated.
Yep.

o .o Alright... so, will there ever be a time where a girl can play a game, online or not, without other male gamers goes "GASP! You're a girl??!!!" or "What are you doing here? Go back to kitchen and make me a sammich!" or something along that line?

Unless society or those communities regress and stagnate, yeah, eventually. Change tends to happen when the majority's opinion changes or enough people show their disagreement with traditional opinion/sentiment to create a stir and shake assumptions. Often, the people that want progress have to push for it.

It's already improved to some degree. The fact that people are more aware of it is part of that.

Though there's always going to be discrimination against the traditionally powerless and favoritism for the traditionally powerful.

I literally want every person who posted in this thread to die.

Doesn't that mean you just condemned yourself?

I just realized your avatar is intentional.Doivid why.I thought you moved past this.

That avatar is fantastic. It's the best avatar I've seen in years. Don't discourage brilliance.

Nat- Probably. If not in images, there's way more text fanfic's out there to do the job. :P
And if there isn't, there probably will be.

Unless people actively posted the porn where the kid would/had to see it and hear about it, I don't actually get the big deal. Not saying it's okay, but if it's avoidable it's not doing harm to the party that matters (so long as people don't keep harping on it around the kid). And the fact is that the porn would happen whether people were discouraged, encouraged, or not told anything at all. Banning porn doesn't work.
Is there anyone I needed to make a reply to in the SB posts(recently or way back)? I vaguely recall a few threads left hanging due to GuildFall, but might not be worth continuing any of 'em at this point.

Peace is a lie, there is only cake.... And kids who eat the cake.

I see what you did there.
This reminds me when someone said RPG was down in the IRC, and then saved it by adding: "I'm talking about Facebook's stock value."

Things like this make me terrified of what lurks on Nat's hard drive.
