Aaa, alright Pyroman! ;w;

@Eviledd1984 I suppose I wasn't too clear, but Bonny is motioning to Shawn for help. Your character is taking notes and Shawn looks finished, so it's more practical for her to gesture to him to aid her. ;u;
@pyroman Is there a specific geometry curriculum I should reference to choose what Bonny should and shouldn't know?

Also re:zombie movie night- don't let Bonny watch scary movies. People have nightmares after watching a spooky movie at night ;___;
… Oh boy this was not as easy as she thought it would be. She had decided to read at her own pace, to see what the material was, and while some was familiar and she knew how to do it, there were a few areas she had never even heard of. She took a few point form notes as the teacher taught on the subjects that she was utterly lost on, and she read over the section of the book on it, but there were a few areas that just wouldn’t… click.

She drifted her focus back to the student that had spoken to her earlier- Shawn, right? He looked like he had his life in control and knew what he was doing, more or less, and the class was just more or less studying at this point. She didn’t see the harm in asking for help at that point. It looked like he had a similar idea of checking on the new kids; they made eye contact for a second, and she gestured for him to come over and tapped her pen on her book. She needed some help after all.
aha, that was the shortest post I've ever made in my life. It's something, though ;___;
Unspecified. Super helpful. “No, nothin’ you can do to help; you should go work on assessing the damage n' all that good shit. I’ll wait here; if you find anyone else in need of aid, you know where to bring them”. How great, it look like he’d be waiting around for more injured bodies for a while. “And could you come let me know when you figure out the cause of this nonsense? Gotta keep an eye on Miss concussion over here, but knowing what the fuck caused this all would be great.”
… Her too? She turned and looked at Shawn, and put together from the other dudes response that both her and the one that answered the question were new to the school. It was only second period and she already met two new students and got brought into two circles with non new students. Was it recruiting season or something? She gave Shawn a small wave. “Sup. I’m Bonny. Nice to meet you”. She had overheard the question from earlier, but since it wasn’t really directed at her she didn’t answer it. Instead, she decided to ask Shawn the question. “What about you? You here to save people or be safe?”

Before she could get her answer, though, the teacher entered the room. “We can talk later” she whispered as quick as can be before bringing her focus to the topic at hand. Geometry. Definitely not a new concept, so she’d manage despite it not being her best topic. Plus, it was reviews, so she’d have time to learn. She flipped through her textbook until she got to the desired page; it was rather familiar. What a relief. She wouldn’t have to learn every subject from scratch.
“Oh, well, thank you again.” She gave a respectful nod before heading from the library. Unfortunately for her, she had left her books and supplies in the history office, and going to retrieve them made her a little bit late to getting to class. She made it before the bell, however, though a lot of the class had already filed in and taken seats. The only ones left were in the back, where two others were having a conversation. Oh well, a seat was a seat.

She set her bag down at one of the back row seats, double checking to make sure she had everything. Plushie, check. Books, pencils, checks. History catchup notes, check. Math skills… she never had those, so no check. She frowned to herself, taking out some paper and a pencil. Hopefully this wasn’t a ‘catch up from scratch’ course like the last; Math shouldn’t be too too different from what she knew, should it?
@pyroman Bonny hadn't headed up to class yet in my last post, but rather asked if she could help put the books away and said a thank you to the librarian. Should I post with the assumption he dismissed her/told her to head out, or would you want to edit in a response?
She laughed a little. He was honest, and had a good sense of humor. A lot more connectable than her teachers back at home. “Heh, that’s a relief” she replied, watching him organize all of the books by value. She would hand him ones when he needed them, and he started to build a factual timeline before her very eyes. It was impressive, and a lot more help than she expected to get. It was like he was doing the gathering for her.

“My grandparents… My grandma can levitate items, and my grandpa was pyrokinetic. He isn’t with us any more, though, and my grandma can’t really lift anything bigger than a chair.” She frowned, her brain wandering back to home for a moment before she pulled herself to the present. She should ask about how taking out books worked here.

She was about to ask when the bell went off, making her jump a teensy bit in surprise. She looked down to the books and then at the librarian after he spoke. He’d have to bring them all himself to the book area. “You want me to help carry them at least? I can come pick them up during a spare.” She had… Math next, correct? The something else, THEN a break. She could come pick up the books then. “Oh, and thanks again for the help.”
What the fuck.

It was a lucky break that Maxi was in the med bay; after cooling down a little bit, he chose to head back up to the med bay. Everything he had already cleaned, true, but new shipments of supplies had come in and he had to organize and put them away. The guy just couldn’t catch a break. He was humming to himself as he sorted plastic jars, his bot floating behind him with a few more objects resting on its top. He didn’t see why he shouldn’t use his medical robot as a floating counter. Whatever got things done faster.

And then the explosion hit.

Perhaps if he had been using his powers, he could have foreseen this incident, or simply found a place to hide- but alas, he was not. The blast shook the room, and he dropped the armful of jars he was carrying and hit the floor with a crash. The whole room was shaking, drawers rattling so hard he was sure they’d come off their hinges and crush him and jars he had left on the counter being thrown off onto the ground. He was tense, kept his head to his chest, and only dared to look up once the discord of the explosion died down enough for him to feel safe.

He got up from the rubble with shaky limbs, steadying himself on a still intact counter. He shook his head to clear his mind and assess the damage. Most structures were okay- the beds were shaken but usable, and only one cupboard came off it’s hinges. A chunk, but not all of the supplies were broken, and amongst them there were some solids he could salvage. Overall, not the worst outcome for an explosion. He frowned, looking out the door and into the hallway. Hopefully someone could give him some answers.

Maxi heard Stryker call for him before he saw him. He internally wanted to stick his tongue out and go back in his room, but stopped himself when SAL entered his line of sight with an injured crewmate. Someone he barely knew, only saw once or twice around the ship. He didn’t have a grudge against them, so he sighed and opened the door for SAL to bring her in. He gestured for his own bot to start a scan as he led SAL to put her on the most stable bed in the room. The robot left the room, and his own medbot beeped out a diagnosis and the location of the injury. Hit head, probable concussion, low chance of something being broken. Nothing serious. He snagged an ice pack and gently pressed it to the location of the head injury. She’d need some rest, some painkillers, and maybe something else if she wanted to heal quicker, but be fine nonetheless.

SAL entered the room again just as he finished up the first step with his patient, and he made eye contact with the bot. “Yo, what the fuck happened?”
