Appearance: Full, glossy lips and a bold brow are part of April's signature everyday look. She's attempts to keep up that effortlessly natural appearance by applying just a touch of mascara and letting her dark locks be unabashfully curly. Framing her angular face and deep brown eyes, her hair fall just past her shoulders. It is very rare that she ever bothers with any sort of foundation, as it is difficult to find the right shade for her warm sepia skin tone. When she does, it is often more money than she can justify spending. April just barely hits the 5'6" mark, though that last half an inch could very possibly be chalked up to the volume of her hair, and her normal attire generally consists of high-waisted jeans that hug her ballet toned legs, a fitted t-shirt, and a cardigan. However, if the weather permits, she's guaranteed to be seen sporting a fuzzy sweater to keep her feeling warm and cozy.
Personality: Being the youngest in a house full of girls, April became The Peacemaker of her family. Sporting a cheerful disposition, she was able to defuse most situations by distracting her family with silly dances or singing songs off key. As she grew up, this happy go lucky attitude became routine. She often hums to herself while she works and tries to make a game out of everything.
Backstory: As the youngest of 4 girls, April was babied and sheltered all her life, and has experienced little that the world has to offer as a result of her sisters' mistakes. College is her time to shine. It's finally her chance to exist without being under the watchful eye of five older and "much wiser" women.
Being the youngest had its perks, though. April was never at fault for anything, even when it was blatantly something she did. It always ended up being somebody else's responsibility because they "should have been watching her." She could do no wrong, and much to her sisters' dismayed, April got everything she wanted because she was the baby. Using their clothes, their makeup, their toys. Everything.
By the time she was 10, she had mostly grown out of that mentality, and that was all thanks to her ballet teacher. Being selfish and overstepping one's bounds was not something that going to fly at Miss Hedge's Ballet Academy. Despite her family's less than ideal financial situation, April's mother was able to scrape together enough money to pay for classes, at a considerable discount thanks to Miss Hedge's kindness.
April never really understood how much they were scraping by till she was much older. It made her feel guilty for all those years of dance lessons. She wants to give back by getting a well paying job to help support her mother and thank her for all those years of raising the 5 of them on her own. As far as her family knows, she gave up her ballet dream in pursuit of a medical degree instead. In secret, however, she still practices in a dance club in college.
Other: April sometimes practices dance routines in the back. She also may or may not have a weakness for anything peanut butter. (She definitely does.)
