Jack would have been pretty surprised to see the two headmasters coming at them with their shouts. Of course, his leave would have been delayed as he listened to what Violet was saying to him. He watched with obvious interest at her shadow powers, and took the ring from her hand slowly. He would nod, placing the gemstone 'emergency' button in his memory as he placed it on his finger.
"I hope we do have some classes together. And I'll probably look for you at lunch and all that, shouldn't take me long. And I promise not to use the ring when I just want to see you. At least not too many times." He would say smiling. "And if you ever need me, just shout to the wind. After all, that's what I am, right?" He would say with a wink as he disappeared, leaving a small gust in his place. And in a motion he was sure only Jinx would notice, he smiled and saluted at her for a brief moment, slightly intangible so as not to be noticed by the others. As he went, Jack would have left a small, silver wing in her hand in place of the ring. It would look as though it could be used as an earring, pin, or really anything it could be fastened to. It was actually a small communicator, not unlike the one that Jack has hidden in his ear. Out of the wing, she would hear, "Shout to me, and I'll hear it on the wind."
Rushing through the school, Jack intended on making himself comfortable in his room for a few seconds, before rushing to the cafeteria. A speedster has gotta eat, after all, and a lot.
