Jack would have noticed the others seeming to rush out a bit fast, but he couldn't blame them. A bit late, he would speak up. "I guess I'll see you guys around then?" He would look a bit at a loss. He would have looked to Violet and caught her smile, his cheeks flushing slightly as he turns and whistles softly to himself, scratching his neck and looking... Unassuming. He would be trying not to smile back too much as he waited for her to finish talking, ready to train. He would speak softly to himself.

Jack would be a bit surprised to see someone else approach the group. Knowing Violet didn't like groups, he hoped to make short of all this. "My big focus is going to be on hero history and stuff like that. Haven't picked anything yet. I'm Jack, by the way. Nice to meet you."

Jack would nod. "Yep, speedster. You're quite perceptive too, it seems. Always good to be perceptive." He would show the shadow sword in his hand. "A bit of a swordsman, not much. Mostly hand to hand for me."
Jack would nod to him. "I already ran around the place twice now, making sure I remember it all. It's pretty nice, but some of the people here are a bit off. Nothing too bad though." He would smile. "So, what's your gift then, if you don't mind?"
Jack would look a bit more downcast as he realized he'd upset her. "I was just... That's not what... I'm sorry.." He would say a bit quietly. The last thing he had wanted to do was upset her, and he hadn't meant to bring it to such a subject. "I just kinda meant how you would have shadow creations and mine would be speed lightning and stuff, I didn't mean it that way. I'm sorry." Jack would take her hand and squeeze it a bit softly. "Besides," he would whisper to her, "I would give you a piece of my shadow before I ever let something like that happen."
Noticing the new guy, Jack would put on a happier face for the moment. "Hey! My names Jack, or Vector, if you like. We're just getting used to the school, thought about putting in a little training. And yourself?"

Coming up on the training room, Jack would be smiling brightly. "Poor cat! Good thing it was only nearly, huh? That's a really awesome ability! I'm starting to get jealous!" He would say enthusiastically. He would be telling the truth, as Jack had always been envious of such things. "Some speedsters can make stuff, but not me. Maybe sometime I'll figure it out though. We'd be like light and dark!"
