....Were you in my rp kuroneko? Because I legitimately went through 20 pages of OOC without running into a single post of yours. That's probably the reason why, but since you're here, you can make a character too.
First off, I'd like to apologize to everyone for making you wait so long, I haven't been well enough to look at...honestly much of anything, its been a bit of a week (actually went to the hospital with chest pains at one point, again not dying). I'm currently in NH right now visiting family and will be returning tomorrow afternoon. At that point I'll be looking at everyone's character sheet, make some edits to the first post of the OOC and then I'll post out the IC.

Just to make sure that I know that people are still interested, can I get a raise of hands? It'll let me know by tomorrow who's still in and to those of you who are, thanks for sticking around, I know this wasn't the best time to start this up, especially when unexpected health BS comes running into you like a train.

So, for ETA, expect tomorrow evening to the be the official start of posting.
Sorry guys, I was at the hospital this morning, I'm not dying, but I've been kind of out of it for the past couple of days, so let me kind of look through things and kind of count out all the people we have, cause this kind of exploded pretty quickly. If I don't manage to get the IC post up today, I'll try to get it up within the next couple of days depending on how I'm feeling.
Kyle Parker

Name: Kyle Parker
Age: 17
Grade: 2nd Year
Disability: Amputated right arm (experiences frequent phantom pain), depression (mostly causes irritability and anger).
Personality: Extremely kind and incredibly determined, he is not the person people expect him to be considering his background. He’s the kind of guy who will be your friend until you show him otherwise, and those who don’t, he remains loyal to for life. Despite his kind demeanor, he is also incredibly brash, lacking any real common sense, only doing what he feels is natural, even if its sometimes for the worse. His temper can flare up in a moments notice, only to falter just as quickly, if he snaps at someone he immediately regrets it and asks for forgiveness.
Background: Kyle was born on a cold winters night in the city of Los Angelos, Nevada. An only child, Kyle was raised by a father with a very specific goal in mind, for him to be the best damned fighter who ever lived. His future to become THE Ultimate Fighting Champion was set in stone from his very birth, and training soon followed it. What couldn't be done through physical training from the get go was learned by watching every scrap and brawl ever done in television history, and nurtured into him by his father's rearing. When Kyle was finally old enough to physically train he was put on a strict diet, trained day and night, excercised, cardio, weight training, fighting techniques. The only time Kyle's life didn't revolve around the UFC was through his studies. His father hired multiple tutors to teach him different subjects throughout the week, things he would need to know when he lived his life to the fullest.
As Kyle grew older, so did his determination. The lifelong goal his father had for Kyle, became his own as well, and he owned it well. Fight after fight, victory after victory, it brough Kyle closer to his own personal Nirvana, that no matter what opponent stood before him, he would not back down, he would not lose. This determination earned him the title of "The Burning Cinder", the fire that would just never die down, no matter how many punches he took, Kyle would just punch back harder. It wasn't until the eve of his 17th birthday that the fire did finally die. On an even colder winter night, during a match, the roof to the stadium came crashing down. A blizzard formed a massive amount of snow on the roof, it weighed too heavy and the roof could simply not support it, 27 people died, another 300 plus were injured, one of them being Kyle. When they found him, his arm had been torn to shreds by a metal beam and frostbite had begun setting into the wound, the arm had to be amputated from the shoulder down. It wasn't until several weeks after arriving at the hospital that Kyle woke up and learned the news; he could never fight again.
The news was earth shattering, a life that had revolved entirely around fighting was wasted and a new sense of despair fell upon Kyle. To him, his arm was like a piece of his soul, something that had been lost, something that could never be retrieved. Worse yet was the disappointment that had set into his own father, the perfect fighter could not fight, he had no son. Despite all the atrocities that befell him, Kyle simply refused to lay down and die and the cinder began to burn once more. There was another part of his life that wasn't deemed as important as fighting, but since fighting was no longer an option, Kyle would have to resort to education. During his recovery time Kyle worked with the doctors in hopes of finding a school that would help him live a normal life, that school was Yamaku Academy.
Other info: Though the picture above shows Kyle's general appearance, he is missing his right arm and the sleeve to it will be tied up to the shoulder. Kyle's training routine is also deeply engraved into his mind, so you'll find him almost every morning outside doing some form of physical activity. Also as a side note, because Kyle is a foreigner who's preferred language is English he'll be speaking in both English and Japanese. To distinguish the two Japanese will be written as normal text and English will be written as bold text
Yea I'm definitely finding a sense of teenage angst among this group. Already a couple of people I'd find my character butting heads with in the future.
Ok, so this is what happens when I don't reply all day.

Twhirtley and ClocktowerEchoes, both of your characters are accepted, congratulations for literally having the most depressing backstories of any character I've seen in this rp.

RomanAria, I have no qualms with your 15 year old, however, the 12 year old. I already have a disposition for not allowing extremely underage characters into romance rp's and I probably would have made an exception, except it was killed with the rape background so, no, she's not allowed.

Meridian, because eyes are my job, I took a further look into glaucoma, yes it does cause blindness, but the type of glaucoma that does cause vision loss is 'Primary open-angle glaucoma', if you could please reflect your background with this new information, that would be greatly appreciated. Also, since Sean is a foreign name in Japan, where is he coming from?

Rune_Alchemist, you're accepted, I laughed when I saw her disability XD.

Devo the Cursed, Yamaku academy does not accept any students with ANY mental disability, I cannot accept your character until you change her disability.

Midna-Phobia, you're also accepted.

Any accepted characters may be posted in the character section.

Katawa Shoujo: School for the Disabled

High upon a moutain top, in a rural part of Japan sits a school for the considered "outcasts" of society. Yamaku Academy, a school for the disabled, helps students overcome their physical and minor mental disabilities so that they can learn to live a "normal" life. On the campus is all the amenities anyone could ever need, a gated community, classrooms only minutes away from dormitories, and a fully serviced 24 hour nursing station. While the academy itself sits isolated away from society, there are plenty of other activities that can be done off campus. Whether one wishes to walk down to the town below, or take the public transit to the nearest city, everything and anything is avaliable to our students. A new semester is upon us and we're excited to see new and returning students, welcome to a new year!

Rules

1. GM's rules are law, you break my rules, I break you. (not literally, that'd be ghastly)
2. No godmodding, I know there will be plenty of character interaction and I know that physical interactions will be a thing, that being said if you move another PC from place to place, or making them act egregiously without their permission, you are breaking my rule.
3. Highschoolers are not immune to cussing, this being said I will not have any sailors running amuck, keep it to yourself if it gets heavy (ie your character's head)
4. Per the rules of the site there will be no lemons (ie NSFW), keep it in the PM if anyone is planning on doing that.
5. Most importantly have fun, I'm pretty lenient about things.

I think 8 players is a pretty good start, OOC shall be reborn...

NOW

Katawa Shoujo OOC
3 interests, honestly not a bad start, but I'm gonna need some more volunteers.
She seemed relieved that he had given her this simple task, and quickly complied, grabbing a bucket of water and beginning her focus. To be expected, she effortlessly manipulated the water around the tennis ball and moved it around herself as if she were dancing, the fact that she seemed amused by it was kind of...cute. So she could at least move an object with mass in her water manipulation, but could she do it with multiple objects? She had done it with the rain earlier, it couldn't hurt to see how much multi-tasking she could handle with a few tennis balls.

"Good, keep manipulating the ball exactly like that," he stepped over and reached for another tennis ball and grabbed it, "We're going to add more to the equation now, I'm going to keep adding tennis balls, when I add a new ball, use a new way to manipulate that ball different from the first ball. The moment you lose concentration is when the exercise will be over."

He smiled at her, "Be creative, have fun with it," he rolled the ball over to her, "Go."
