This will be set in a fairly typical medieval fantasy setting, set within an absolute monarchy, with The ruler of the kingdom having two right hands as the High Knight and High Inquisitor, The two people considered the best at their role. The Inquisition and Knights can be simplified to Knights been assigned to External affairs and Inquisitors assigned to Internal Affairs. Knights are responsible for fighting wars and been the first line of defense for the kingdom, alongside helping the inquisition with internal Rebellions, alongside external rebellions are groups against them. Meanwhile, the inquisition deals with tax collection, internal rebellions and be the last line of defense for the kingdom, among other things. Its worth noting that no women have ever become knights and only 3 women have been inquisitors
In this world are witches, born for one in every 1000 female children, born evil and desiring thing most would consider evil. Because of this and general paranoia, anybody caught as a witch or suspected as a witch will undergo a witch trial headed by two Inquisitors, one defending them and one prosecuting them, should they choose trial by court. They have been many mistrials and innocent people burned due to public paranoia, inquisitors doing their best to stop such discrimination and lack of due process, but many discriminate regardless. Witches themselves are born with access to two spells and at their prime gain access to up to 6, unless they are the legendary great witch, which has access to all magic, and much more powerful versions of them all. The regular versions of spells, both combat and utility spells are pretty situational, such as a basic fireball at the very best in terms of combat or a walk through walls spell at the very best of utility.
Should you wish to play as a witch, please let me know, the rest of the characters will be looking to become knights or Inquisitors and the roleplay will focus on them becoming them and been them doing duties and maybe dealing with witches.
