Camryn was shocked, to say the least. That was way better than her and Megan's duel! "Oh my god, that was amazing! Nate, you have got to teach me how to Action Duel like that!" Unfortunately, it looked like her happiness went unheard, and Nathaniel merely yawned loudly and left, though he at least waved at Camryn when he walked by. Camryn was a bit put out, but figured Eh, at least he waved. That means he hasn't written me off completely. She now noticed that it had gotten to be nighttime fairly quickly while their duel had been going on. She got up, stretched, and yelled over to Megan "I think I'll be heading inside too. See ya in class tomorrow!" Camryn proceeded to walk back to the school. Man, this is really different from back home. I don't think we've got any deserts in New Zealand. Though I know Australia's pretty much all desert. I wonder why? Camryn's thoughts continued in this vein until she arrived inside the school. Where should I go now? The card shop? ...Nah, the new Deepspace support hasn't dropped yet. I guess I'll just explore around a bit. She picked a random hallway and set off down it.

Maria had noticed Dazz's fist tensing, and had flinched back slightly when she turned around, looking quite angry about something or other. Fortunately, it looked like she was mad about something else, because her face softened, and she gave a smile before responding that she was indeed in charge. Oh good, I can ask her about working up here! "I was wondering about-" The hard hat dropped onto Maria's head with a soft thmp sound. "Oh. Uh, thanks, but-" Then the woman's pocket alarm went off, and Dazz's previous state of anger returned for a moment before she pointed Maria to a girl who was snapping pictures of the land outside the Wall and left to go deal with an auditor. If that was what she had been angry about, Maria could sympathize; the guy who always came around to audit the candy shop was snotty and acted superior to them more often than not, so if the auditor that was here now was like that, Dazz's reaction was certainly justified. Maria took a glass of water from the adorable robot that offered her one and told it "Thanks!", then walked over to the woman with the camera, dodging a blubbering worker and another man who was digging around in cement that looked like it had spilled all over the place. When she arrived, the woman appeared to be very distracted by the worksite that surrounded her, snapping pictures of anything that looked interesting, including the bawling construction worker. "Uh, pardon me. The lady in charge sent me to you and said that you could help me. I'm looking to work up here so I can pay off my father's debt. Could you show me around and tell me what jobs I could do?"

Right about then, the announcement came on, before shorting out after thunder rolled through the sky. Maria looked around for the source of the thunder. "What was that? It sounded like thunder, but the sky's clear... And I'm sure I saw lightning in those clouds over the mine, but they're not storm clouds." She pointed to the nearby diamond mine behind Reina, which currently had a large cloud doing its best cotton ball impersonation sitting over it.

While Megan went to ask the Colonel about their duel, Camryn said "I'm gonna go grab a seat. See you after the duel, Nate!" She ran excitedly to the bleachers and took a front-row seat to the Action Duel field. This is gonna be so cool! I'm not sure who to root for, though... On one hand, Megan beat me, and with my own Solidarity no less, but she's also the first friend I've made here. But on the other hand, Nate seems like a nice guy, and I'd love to see his Performapals in action. Eh, I guess whoever wins, I'll be happy for them. I just hope it isn't over too soon! she thought, as the Colonel set up the Action Field. Aloud, she shouted "Heeey! Good luck, you two! Have a good duel!"

Camryn pondered a bit. "Hmm... How 'bout we flip a coin, and whoever calls it right gets to duel Nate? That seems fair to me. As for whether or not the Colonel's allowing more Action Duels, since ours was allowed, I think he'll allow another one. It's free time right now, anyway."

"Ooh, wait! We could grab someone else and have a Tag Duel with them! ...Are Tag Action Duels a thing?"

I know what you mean! Maybe we can add characters to our statuses. Or signatures.

Maybe we can use different text colors for our characters? It'd help differentiate, and give them a bit more personality besides.
