FUCK I TYPED UP A WHOLE POST AND LOST IT-
@LetterA Thank you so much! I'm really glad that you like him. Just need to work on the powers then~
I'm not too keen on him always turning blue when he shifts, because it means he's not really a, 'threat,'???
My other idea, which I like due to his personality, it some sort of charm/persuasion ability. Like he can make people like him, or convince them to do things. It'd be restrained of course, and he'd be there more for the potential to be evil than the petty crime stuff. If he tried to use his powers, the restraint would make him turn blue. Which would be funny and a little awkward for him, especially since he'd sometimes unintentionally try to use his powers. Like he's trying to get in a girl's pants, and accidentally says something in the heat of the moment, and turns blue... "What the fuck, are you trying to like molest me?" "N-no, I can't help it!" -obviously blue-
EDIT: Here's an edited form with this power:
Name: Copen Thorsen
Age: 17
Height; Weight: 6,4”, 160lbs
Stripes: 11
Reason for Admission:
- Numerous incidents of theft. He was eventually caught when trailed after stealing a cellphone off of a display. The security guard couldn’t believe the tape that showed him letting the boy just walk past after a short confrontation. After he was caught, a stash of stolen items was found in Copen’s bedroom by the police, who were now aware of his powers.
- Taking advantage. Copen never had much trouble talking to girls and getting dates, but once his powers came into being, he wanted to see what they could do. To his delight, it made it easy for him to get some action. He didn't realise how his powers faded with time, quicker with distance, and soon enough there were some serious accusations coming his way. It was then that the police realised just what they were dealing with and, instead of juvie, sent him to Greenwing Academy.
Years Admitted: 3
Special Abilities: Copen has the gift of the gab - literally. He can charm anyone, man and woman alike, to like him and want to do things for him. He can't force them to do things they would be completely opposed to - such as murder - but it allows him to convince people to let him go places he shouldn't, and to get things that are theirs.
Physical Strength:
In his normal form, Copen isn’t strong. He’s quite slender and has coltish limbs that he’s slightly self-conscious of. However, he isn’t really bothered to put the work in to become stronger – he prefers to run. Copen is quite cardio fit, and has nicely toned legs despite them being slim.
Mental Strength:
Copen isn’t clever. He really isn’t. He’s a bit of an airhead, to be honest – it’s why he was caught so easily. Who could resist the looks on people’s faces when they found out about him? He’s a bit narcissistic, too. He’s forever fixing his hair and straightening his clothes. Underneath this though, he does care about other people and has a soft heart.
Copen is happy-go-lucky, tending not to worry about ‘unimportant,’ things. He’s usually smiling that slight-too-big-for-his-face smile, and laughing rather loudly. He’s also flirtatious and open to hook-ups – but occasionally obsessive over a girl he really likes.
Weaknesses:
- With his good looks and charm getting him most of the way in life, Copen sometimes finds himself very stuck when it doesn’t work on people. He gets frustrated quite easily and isn’t exactly a problem solver so much as a problem maker.
- His narcissism can sometimes blind him to how he appears to others – usually along the lines of annoying.
- Distance and time will lessen the charm that he has put onto people. It generally wears off in around an hour, quicker if he is further away.
Restrained?: Yes
Details: Copen is restrained with the typical band around his neck - they really couldn't risk him convincing teachers to let him out of the school. In the event that he tries to use his powers, his entire skin turns blue. The unfortunate thing about this is that he doesn't always intend to use his powers. He could be chatting with a girl, and turn blue - and of course, this can raise suspicions... It makes him a bit sad, really.
Background Info:
~ Raised by average, ‘normal,’ family in the rather boring suburbs. Only child. Boring boring boring. Mother and father are skilled Danish immigrants.
~ Popular, well-liked at school amongst peers, not so much amongst teachers – caused mischief.
~ Powers came into being at around age 12. Mucked around with them for innocent fun and attention.
~ Things got boring again, he decided to start doing more daring stunts. Convincing teachers at school ("school’s out for the day!"), stealing and more nefarious persuasion for ‘action’ he wouldn’t otherwise get.
~ Caught at age 14 with numerous crimes against his name. Decided that he should go to the school for rehabilitation.
Interests:
~ Himself
~ Beer (alcohol in general, really)
~ Girls
~ Parties
~ Dancing. This boy has the skills to foxtrot and waltz his way into a girl’s heart, weirdly enough. It's a passion of his.
Other: He speaks both Danish and English fluently due to his heritage – although the Danish doesn’t come in too useful. The glasses are just for show; he doesn't need them.
