Your next on my to do list

Her mother’s hand grasped her tiny wrist and started to pull her way. A flicker of sadness appeared as she was pulled away as she let her eyes run along the group that had been watching her before starting to turn to follow after her mother. However, as she walked her mother’s grip till tight on her wrist as if she was about to run away. She stumbled a little when Emery’s voice entered her head without warning. Even know she couldn’t help by use her other hand to reach up for her head piece as she looked up to the sky wanting to see him flying through the air. Knowing he wasn’t up there. “Ah, thanks.” She thought her voice still sounding like a whisper, before almost tripping again before she gasped a little, her mother saving her from taking a face plant.

“What are you doing Ella? Something so trivial as walking shouldn’t be such a hard task.” Her mother said harshly as they arrived at the shrine.

“Well sorry, random voices appear in your mind can do that when you’ve only been hearing them for a year.” She said back to her mother before sighing.

Her mother looked up quickly at her, the door being held half open. “Has he already chosen.”

“No, he commented on my dance, for once. Usually he gets annoyed with being so dizzy.” She shot back at her mother crossing her arms.

“Don’t speak like that or you could have the villages destroyed by your lack of thanks for all he has done.” Her mother finished before walking out and closing the door. It would have pleased Ella to have her mother slam the door. Stop acting like Miss Perfect. She brought up her hand to her face and rubbed it a little trying not to totally rub away all the make-up she had worn for the festival. Hearing the door slide open as her mother let the first person in, she started confessions.

Ella loved but hated this. She got the chance to interact with the people on a more personal level but she knew Emery hardly cared about what all the people said, if he cared he listened, she really didn’t have to retell all the messages to him. However, by the third person that came in, Emery’s voice came into her head again. She tried to ignore it as if he hadn’t realized he was letting her listen, however, she quickly became distracted by the voice. “Ah sorry, umm could you give me a second?” She said the man nodding and leaving before she sighed softly. “Emery, I can hear you. As much as I need to know who you are picking I don’t need you to list your dislike for the woman you are watch-how are you watching them?” She asked before the door opened again her mother come back in. “I know! Emery is talking with realizing it. It’s hard to focus on both voices at once. Give me a second.” She said her mother watching her. “No he still hasn’t picked.” She said before listening for a second. “Okay send the man back in.” She said and carried on until Emery came in.

To her it was just another man another person wanting to confess, give message or really just ask about how things works. It was like teaching a religion. When he bowed she smiled at him, her hands rested in her lap, her legs wrapped around her side as she listened carefully to the man before her. “Oh don’t worry, there are many who don’t fully understand the who I do or the many priestesses before myself. So ask away I’ll answer as best as I can.” She reassured him as she would anyone else she smiled a little more her eyes drifting off to the side for a moment before looking back up to him. “Well, I do many things. I think for you to fully understand why I do what I do, I must make sure you know the story of the dragon. I’m more than willing to tell you it? Or maybe you can tell me what you know and we can go from there?” She finished still smiling softly, not a true smile, but not a fake one either.
Kyle walked back and forth in front of his father’s office. He had to tell his father he was going down, he couldn’t put up with just watching anymore. Sure, angels were meant to help from their places in heaven. Watching through the portals in the clouds, staring down at the people they had been assigned. Most, no all angels had a life up here on their off time, it was a way for them to distance themselves from the human they were meant to save. After all, not all could be saved. People must die when their number is up. Her clock was ticking and he had done knowing to help her. He felt worthless. His golden eyes started to water as his fists tightened. Why was he so useless!

It was rare for an angel to go down to stop a death. It was only when a message was sent from the higher ups that humans could cheat death. Therefore, the true job of a guardian angel was meant to make their lives useless, and happy. However, over the years that had become harder and harder with the changes in history. At least woman had rights, a chance to be happy with. Woman were always the hardest to keep happy, men were hardest to keep pure. “Damnit!” He yelled before running from his father’s office, to pass one of his sisters.

“Kyle?” She said turning to watch him run pass her.

“I can’t let another die. Not so young.” He said feeling the tears spill over. The last time he had cut in and tried to save his human went badly. He was always reminded by the cut along his left eye where the murderer almost murdered him too. His father had saved him at the last second, cutting the human’s life short and earning Kyle more time training and shaming his family.

He reached his watching station, the soft glow of sky blue changed to darkness the city lights the only reason he could see her clearly. “Damnit Clarissa! You’re smarter than this!” He yelled pointlessly at the portal. He knew she couldn’t hear her. He looked up and around before quickly looking back down at her as she slowly walked closer towards the edge. “I’m sorry I’m such a bad angel.” He whispered as a tear rolled from his eye down his cheek and chine before dripping into the portal. A large light beam up almost blinding Kyle as his hands came up to protect his face.

The next thing he knew was he was falling. He could see the night sky all around him, the city far below. He turned in the hair the wind making his hair and clothing go wild and his wings uselessly wrapped around his body. He looked up at the stars, heaven unseen, before he took in a deep breath. “I can do this.” He said before he turned around again to face the city he was falling towards. He let his wings open and he caught himself before turning his body to dive down towards Clarissa. “I can save you if it’s the last thing I do as a guardian.” He said that more to himself then to her as he closed in towards her. One more second and she’d be falling, his hand reached out and grabbed the back of her shirt and pulled her back onto the roof as he hit the roof hard, gravity not his friend.

Grunting a little his wing screaming in pain he sat up and looked at the human he had just given extra time. “Shit.” He said now realizing what he had just done. He was going to be in a lot of trouble. “Umm, hi. Ah, yeah.” He said blushing a little as he starched the back of his head. “Please don’t freak out.”
No worries, I understand that life happens.
Just letting you know, your next on my to do list~ Slowly getting caught up after my week of dealing with my apartment.

Even when the boy turned away from her, Carla kept a watchful eye on him. She bite her lip a little until she became distracted by Hale picking up his phone. She turned away from Alden and stared at the numbers on the phone booth her hand resting on top of it as she held the phone with one hand. When the conversation was done, she sighed to herself and looked at the black phone with its metal cord before handing it up with a soft click. She then turned to Alden as he turned towards here, clearly half listening to know when she was finished. It was nice that he at least respected her privacy. So she smiled just a little and told him that her brother was coming to get her. However, as she watched him for her place beside the both, even in the dim light of the street lamp she could see the disappointment in his eyes. As if. . . he wanted to help her for real. It wasn’t out of kindness, but something else. She worried about that, she wasn’t sure what to think of that kind of reaction from a guy.

Sure he seemed kind, but she couldn’t help but look at the world as filled with monster’s wearing masks to lure you in. If only she knew what Hale did, it was good that Hale kept the reality of the world from her, for she’d be more of a wreck then she already was. But even with her normal distrust of the world around her she only trusted Hale and Ash, well them and Jem her dog, but Jem was different. Her hands had been holding onto her bag as he hung from her shoulder touching her hip. She couldn’t help but grip the strap a little bit tighter as she watched him. Her eyes were guarded, never a happy looking but never showing sadness and fear. It was like a middle ground between. “I guess-“ She started to say that she’d be on her way when Alden spoke. She closed her mouth and looked at the ground for a moment thinking about it.

He could be a killer, a kidnapper, a rapist. Or he could be nice and worried about someone so young being alone in the dark. Still she shouldn’t chance it, but that hurt lingering in his stance and eyes just reminded Carla of her weak ways of hiding how she really felt. That didn’t stop her from glancing around again, feeling like he should have been here with someone. No one was ever around here by themselves, well she was but that’s because she had the worst luck ever. She bite her lip for a moment before sighing a little and pushing her small smile onto her lips. “Ah-umm- sure.” She said rather awkwardly before shifting her bag slightly uncomfortable. “Thanks.” She said after her moment of pause before she laughed just a little. “I guess I’m not very good at hiding my discomfort then?” She said before looking at him in the eyes, before turning to head towards the fairground public parking. It was a small lot, not nearly as big as it should have been for such an attraction. Cars could be seen parked along the street, she knew that at least half the street would be stocked with cars. It was only slowly become deserted around two in the morning.

When he spoke again as they walked to the side walk, making their way through the packed in cars in the overly stuffed parking lot, she glanced back at him and smiled a little. “Oh, ah right.” She said before glancing forward so she wouldn’t trip or totally run into something. Glancing back at him as they came to the side walk she made sure to sit under the street lamp. “Umm, I’m Carla.” She said before looking down at her own shadow. “If I’m being honest, I kinda forgot your name. I’m really bad with that.” She said before glancing back up at him. It fell quiet, the awkwardness making Carla blush a little. It seemed he was as bad at this as she was. “So umm, what brought you to the fair tonight?” She said trying to make small talk. Something she didn’t even do with people who came into the shop.
Alright no rush :)

I add my sub characters into my first post ^^

Another school year was starting, and that meant another start of the year party. Madelyn hated these things. They left her feeling uneasy and well awkward. Too many people for starters and well she had to be close to them. She held onto the red cup filled with alcohol one of the fae had snuck in. Madelyn had a number of friends, after all everyone loved her. She was that nice innocent girl. Taking in a small breath she pushed a strand of her long black hair behind her ear as she watched the fire. She wished that Will and Carly were here. They were the other demonic witches at the school. Demonic witches were a rare thing, but in the last few years their numbers were growing. Downing her drink she sighed softly to herself, as she watched the flamed dance before her, the heat reaching out to brush along her fare skin.

“Maddie!” Carly beamed as she put her arms around Madelyn’s neck as she leaned on the girl. Madelyn laughed softly.

“So you two came out from hiding eh?” She said smiling as she looked back to see Will there as well. Carly was a year younger then Madelyn, and Will a year older, but Madelyn had come to see Will as a best friend well Carly and him hit it off.

“Hey, it’s not my fault I enjoy making out.” Carly grinned making Madelyn roll her deep brown eyes at her. “Hey your empty why don’t I go get you more.” She said before taking Madelyn cup. Madelyn reached out for it as she walked away but sighed softly to herself before looking back to the fire. There was no fighting it when it came to Carly.

“Fae and their drinking.” She mumbled to herself, before noticing the fire start to flicker in a slightly odd way. Frowning a little she watched the shapes start to form in the flame, before she glanced around for who it could be. She had guessed an elementalist had been the one who was trying to show off, but she didn’t see any of them nearby. However, just across from her was a small group of demons. A flicker of fear ran through her. It was a big thing with demonic witches, they didn’t like demons period. When he disappeared, her body tensed. Her eyes looked around panicked before Carly pushed her drink into her face making Madelyn jump.

“Whoa girl, it’s just a drink.” Drink she teased, but a flicker of worry came into Carly’s eyes.

“Mads, why don’t you head up to your room.” Will stepped in, taking the glass from Carly’s hands. “Maybe some water too.” He said before waiting for Madelyn to agree. She watched him for a minute before sighing to herself.

“Fine.” She finished before heading off towards the café. They all struggled to block out their demon’s voices, but their demons hadn’t killed their twin sister either. Madelyn struggled more with the voices, the headmaster wasn’t sure if that was because the demon was more powerful or Madelyn was just struggling.

“Leaving the party already?” Luca’s voice rang making Madelyn look up slightly startled.

“Ah yeah, head ache.” She smiled a little.

“Lame man, see around hot stuff.” He grinned at Madelyn making her roll her eyes.

“Not going to happen Luca.” She called as she passed him by.

Rather than cutting back through the ballroom, Madelyn took the hallways and walked into the café, she noticed she wasn’t the only one there but paid no mind to it. She was busy trying to block over her negative feelings, and thus ignored the demonic aura beaming brightly in the room, she had just assumed in her tipsy state, that her master was trying to break through. However, as she passed the boy by, she did a bit of a double take. It was the demon from across the fire, she quickly put her head down and opened the fridge for a water bottle.

Luca had lured one of the first years to the closet near the ballroom. She was an ice elementalist. He had already forgotten her name as he licked slowly up the side of his neck. "Are you sure?" He asked with almost a purr before she nodded her head, before he opened his mouth exposing his fangs before skinning his fangs into her skin, she leg out a soft cry, as the drug from his fangs started to lull her a little. He could feel the growl of possession take over him for a moment as he drank from her. Her hands pushed up into his messy brown hair as she pulled a little just making him want to suck her dry. After a moment he pulled away panting a little, before he grinned at the intoxicated first year. Laughing softly to him he licked his lips before leaning in to kiss her's. " Well come on how unless you want to take a nap?" He laughed softly as he pulled away from her grabbing her top from the floor and tossing it over to her.

"Ah-right." She said softly as she started to put her shirt back on.

"I'll get you some water why don't you go sit down?" He said smiling softly at her before he slipped out of the room well fixing his own clothing. He felt high off the blood, but had, had better. He ran his fingers through his hair as he made his way through the hallways towards the ballroom to cut through there to the bond fire. He really didn't plan on getting the girl water, within an hour she'd be fine and most likely forgotten what he had don't. Perks of being a vampire. It was easy to get what you want. Compulsion was one of their abilities, those of the born where stronger with then those of the changed. Usually changed vampires were created after the teenage years so it was rare to see a changed vampire at a high school.

Walking out into the fall air, he took in a deep breath. He could smell the mixture of creatures, personal scents, booze, and weed in the air. The fae were most likely the biggest partiers out of all creatures, but when you got a mixture of teenagers together everyone was a fae for the night. However, as he walked towards the fire, one guy walked towards him. It didn't take him more then to place the scent with the face. Luca was going to ignore the freak, but that didn't stop Ayden from thinking he was on the level of Luca to talk to him. Luca rolled his eyes. "Don't talk to me you freak." He almost snarled as he brushed off his shoulder as if Ayden was dirty. Only to glanced up when Madelyn started to near and he grinned at her. “Leaving the party already?” he said as Madelyn look up slightly startled. It was rather adorable and much desirable

“Ah yeah, head ache.” She smiled a little.

“Lame man, see around hot stuff.” He grinned at Madelyn making her roll her eyes.

“Not going to happen Luca.” She called as she passed him by. Making his chuckle to himself before glancing back at her ass before coming up to the fire.

Seeing Lia by herself he sat down, letting his one arm come around her shoulder pulling her closer. “Evening Lia dear.” He grinned at her his fangs gleaning in the fire light. His hand came up to point her chin up so their faces were rather close. “I hope you’re not wasting such a night glaring at everyone.”
