~So this is it.~, Nia thought inside her mind. A thought both alien and comforting. She didn't fully realize what was happening until the words "magical community" reached her brain. For a second, nothing else mattered. This was it. The thing she secretly pursued for more than a year by now. The thing a fraction of her mind had secretly hoped for, when she read that mysterious note and decided not to ignore it. Finally, proof that she was indeed not the only one of her kind. It filled her heart with limitless joy for just a moment, which manifested in a smile she fought very hard so it wouldn't show on her face, making her look dumb and crazy. The moment was amazing enough so she forgot about the whole 'end of the world' part and just reveled in the truth that found her after she tried in vain to find it.

It was only now that she actually took in the sight of the others. Seeing them as random visitors of central park was vastly different from seeing them as magically gifted individuals. Knowing nothing about magic that went beyond her own limited capabilities, her assessment of the situation went a little different though. Suspecting the 'fade out' of the little group to be of magical nature by now, Nia essentially assumed everyone present would be able to achieve such a thing, seeing how nobody showed an awful lot of surprise or amazement on this realization. Assumption number two was that the previously threatened 'bullet to the head' ordeal would mean something equal to a nasty sting for the old-time-y guy, since again nobody seemed to be shocked at all. If one could remove a group of selected people from a random crowd to have a private talk, a thing as mundane as a bullet could hardly be noteworthy, right? Thus, her next train of thought went into a less joyful direction. ~It's a mistake. They got the wrong person, I can't possibly measure up to them...~ And so the girl entirely missed a great opportunity to think about rewards and religion. Her head spun from the sudden wave of amazement that quickly turned into awe, leaving her feeling uneasy, defenseless, out of place. After all her magical talent, under the current circumstances, was...nil. The 'groovy' looking guy couldn't possibly want to put the worlds fate into the hands of someone like her, that would be sheer insanity.

Nia went pale when realization hit her that she might just get kicked out of this group she had been looking for for so long once they notice her inherent lack of any usefulness whatsoever. Considering this, it didn't take long for her to decide which party she wanted to be part of.

"Nia Winters."

She managed to mutter the words somewhat audibly, but with a pretty obvious lack of confidence, as she finally closed the gap to the gathering and nodded towards Eric and Maximillian, implying that she too was in for the ride. Not that there was much of a choice.
Sorry folks, I had a pretty fucked up week involving work, multiple sicknesses (like migrane attacks and possibly food poisoning? at the same time) and a deceased router. I will do my best to get a post around tomorrow.
The rumor mill was something Lizz had stopped caring about a long time ago. Her reputation was set in stone and preceded her wherever she went, so the girl didn't bother much with keeping her voice down. If anything, individuals daring to spread nonsensical rumors about her usually ended up with demolished faces, which was another entertaining 'disadvantage' of it all. So really, Elizabeth didn't share Veilis worries in the slightest. Still, their presence did keep the hallway clear of other students.
She surveyed his face for just a little longer, attempting to get a better impression of how he felt about the situation. Had his expression given away the slightest hint about his concerns, she would likely have poked at the matter a lot harder... but Veili was in luck this time.

As if to mock her own words, the pink-haired one followed his tilting motion with her eyes, looking at the corridor she was about to disappear into, then back into his one opened eye. "Indeed I have. See you there later, I presume." She noted this almost in a threatening tone, making sure her fellow student attended the event that was - in her eyes - a terribly boring waste of time and effort. But at least everyone had to suffer through it equally. She implied an exaggerated gesture and a bow before buzzing off back onto the slowly crowding corridor. In the most thug-like way possible that took up an unnecessarily large portion of the passage and urged people to move out of her way.
Lurking the interest checks last night I found myself with the realization that I actually crave a few somewhat specific RPs that are not currently happening. Since I'm utterly and completely incapable of leading an RP though, I thought maybe pariring up for some 1x1 could scratch my itch! And at the same time un-rust my rusty fingers - for I actually think I am god awful at RP, but blessed with the motivation to improve myself.

So yeah. Here I am. I have a few very specific things in mind that I'd like to roleplay, which I'll nutshell below as far as I'm able to. Note that I mostly have a clear vision on characters and scenarios, but am very flexible when it comes to the actual story - ideally we could work that out with equal amounts of input. Or less equal, I really don't mind as long as I get to play the character I have in mind.
I'll also have to mention my painful allergy for all sorts of 'internet-speak' ('you' turns to 'u', using 'lol' as a means of punctuation and such) and would prefer you to proof-read your own posts as opposed to relying on auto correct. Please don't take this as hostile as it sounds, but those are terrible immersion killers for me. A post every two to three days would be great - of course I don't mind picking up a faster pace. One last thing to keep in mind - I don't have an awful lot of experience with 1x1 thus far.
Most desired scenario right now:
Vampire x anything
I really, really want to RP a vampire. I was thinking about a medieval setting initially, where humans aren't really aware of vampires but superstitious enough to believe in them. But really, I'd be up for anything at this point. Dystopian futures of all kind, semi-recent timeframes, I can fit into anything. I'd be more interested in a vampire x non-vampire or usual-vampire x unusual-vampire situation than a 'mirror' kind of thing. Obviously it would be a horror-y, gloomy thing with possible soft gore and such. I'll even sparkle if that's what it takes to get a thing like this going. There's a lot of possibilities in my head, I'm open to discuss and customize this setting and will continue to do so forever (yes, I adore all sorts of vampires. ...okay, let's say most sorts of vampires.)

Alternatives: [these will get updated in the future]
Demon x anything
Heavily inspired by Juniper's Knot (a short, free VN). I'm fascinated and intrigued by the scenario of a demonic being of (usually) great power being rendered defenseless and at the mercy of an 'inferior' being (like a regular human) for whatever reason, and I'm willing to come up with one billion reasons and scenarios of how said being came to be in said situation. I'd love to play out the many possibilities of such a situation developing, since the inferior being could react in many different ways and create countless different relationships of all kinds from there on. Taking the premise of Juniper's Knot and playing out possible 'what-if' alternate universes, so to say, that would make me very happy.

Add Tokyo Ghoul to the list.
I just finished that, and HNNNG. I would eat a person if that's necessary to RP in this lore, it's just so damn good.

To be continued. These are what I'm currently aware of, but I do believe more stuff is gonna add to this over time.
“In all seriousness though, I was planning to grab some breakfast after you had gone on your way,” he muttered, not really bothering to try and hide the truth. “And before you ask why I bothered to avoid you, it was just me being stupid.” He admitted that much, hoping it would take whatever wind she had in her sails.

Elizabeth decided to be in a good mood and mainly acknowledge the last part of Veilis response. He had the courage to fight back her little charade, which was refreshing and for the most part unexpected. She nodded sagely, contrasted by her playful expression. "At least you're aware of being stupid. That's the most important step. Second comes the realization that there's no escaping me." The pink haired part-time guard suddenly had a moment of realization that clearly manifested on her face before she started checking multiple pockets for something. She muttered a short curse as a second realization hit her - it wasn't there.

"I was sure I had the draft of that little something I told you about..." Lizz discarded the notion with a carefree shrug. "Guess I was wrong, i'll get it to you later. I'd love to accept your generous invitation to breakfast too, but actually I don't have time to slack. It's my shift."

It wasn't immediately obvious if Elizabeth completely ignored what the redhead just said, or if she intentionally interpreted it the opposite way. However, the awful pokerface she put on two seconds later heavily implied the latter. In fact, she made it sound like Veili was the one who stopped her. There was a good reason why Elizabeth Seyes didn't have a lot of friends. As if to emphasize this impression, she added "If you'll now excuse me, I have places to be." - yet still didn't move an inch, waiting patiently for Veilis reaction.

Much appreciated~Oh, one more thing that I spotted, this time involving dear Eliza.A few minutes? How did it go from "" and "" to "[the opening ceremony is] in a few minutes"? I realize that you said it took her "decidedly too long" to find her gloves, but then why would the second-year boys be considered "early-bird(s)" if they're out and about just minutes before the ceremony?

Despite this probably sounding like a cheesy made up excuse, it really isn't: Eliza's exaggerating for the sake of humorous dramatisation. Same goes for 'far away', while I don't know the specific dimenions of the academy, I'd figure it's not that huge.
Apologies for the delay on my post. Been a rough end of the week. Also, I love how my character already became a running gag. 'least she's remarkable!
Elizabeth decided against chasing down the fleeing group of boys that by some twisted jest of fate informed half the academy of her presence, since she had places to be. She didn't deem the jumpy group worth showing up late at the job, they probably didn't even do anything punishment-worthy. However, sending a last amused glare after the group, she just barely managed to spot something that was worth being late over. A distinctively red hairdo disappeared in the next hallway, being in her field of vision for maybe the fraction of a second. When in guard-mood, miss Seyes virtually exercised eagle-eyed levels of awareness, so the glimpse was more than enough for the pink-haired one to take up pursuit.

In fact, she was quite familiar with this behavioral pattern. People spotted her and attempted to escape out of plain view, usually believing a simple wall or corner could make them avoid Elizabeth entirely. Until she breaks through the wall, that is. Or in this case, until she darted towards the corridor and bolted around the corner, expecting the redhead to suspiciously press himself against the wall or some such. His casual body posture was a little less comical than she'd expected, but entertained her nonetheless.

"Morning mister Sturm." she greeted him in a sensational, sacrastic voice that unmistakably implied she had seen Veilis attempted 'escape', and not without making a bit of a mockery at the expense of her temporary occupation by applying the guards formal high-and-mighty choice of words. "Who would you be waiting for, I wonder. Here in this secluded corner, far away from the place you should attend in a few minutes, but with no haste to migrate there." It sounded awfully fake and made the overall impression of a badly practiced parody. Had there been other guards nearby, they would surely have taken offense. She eyed him, arms crossed, expecting made up excuses. Lizz was used to people hiding from her so she didn't resent over actions like this, though she liked to pretend the opposite and see how they struggled to talk themselves out of trouble. Something told her the redhead wouldn't be part of that group of people, yet prying a bit would still be fun.

The commotion in the male dormitory escaped her attention momentarily. Lucky them!

What would be an acceptable exclamation substitute for "jeez" and the like?

This is relevant to my interests too. More on the cursing side of things, but nonetheless some terminology on equivalents to 'jeez', 'holy' and so on would be much appreciated.
Nia had been wandering the park with no clear goal for almost twenty minutes when she just stopped. Her feet were about to start hurting, as she wasn't exactly accustomed to exhaustive walks like that. When she checked the watch on her phone, disappointment creeped into her expression. It was four past nine, and nothing had happened. Whatever was supposed to take place, she missed it. Maybe she was in the wrong part of central park? It wasn't the smallest place after all, and her 'instructions' weren't exactly precise. She re-examined the piece of paper one last time, unable to learn any more from it. As she crumbled it and held it in a closed fist, her eyes spontaneously turned to the sky. The girl was unable to make out even a single star, presumably due to a thick carpet of clouds. She didn't think anything of it at first, but then realized that a lot of people seemed to have left the area. In fact, she was almost alone, and the area had fallen completely silent. Nia tried very hard to listen for the distant traffic noises that were never really absent in the city, not even in the most secluded spots of central park...but there were none.

Immediately, she remembered her dream from the library-nap. It was a different scenery, but the more she thought about it, the more relevant it appeared. She didn't know why she really came here, just like in the nightmare. The note? Maybe a random aspect of another dream? It would certainly explain its inexplicable appearance. And now the silence... Nia fought the urge to instinctively cover her ears as she did back then. Unlike in her nightmare though, she didn't wake up. Instead she heard a voice nearby, one of the few people left in the vicinity. They sounded upset. The girl slowly turned to the origin of those words, realizing these peoples appearance for the first time. They were...diverse, to put it lightly. They looked perfectly normal in the somewhat crowded area before, but now that they were the only ones here, each of them was somehow individually remarkable. Nia wondered about that for a long moment. Had she not seen them earlier? One was even wearing what looked like a navy suit to her, not that she knew much about those. The most striking looking example of a human being was dressed particularly strange - somewhat like a cosplayer or maybe an actor in a costume - and apparently the source of the others confusion. He was the only person who decidedly seemed out of place, too. It was a weird moment for the lost student, seeing people like that and not making the semi-obvious connection. She had spent a good amount of the last year trying to find traces of the more special people out there, people like herself. Thought about them every single day, looked into every single face with scepticism, expecting someone to approach her eventually, because she just couldn't be the only one. Somewhere deep down, she knew there were others, but the long period of not finding the slightest hint of their existance turned almost-certainty into wishful thinking. And now, that the moment had come, she didn't even consider it. She was merely drawn in by the oddity of that unusually clothed man. Still dumbfounded by the situation, she slowly approached the small assembly. Hands buried into her mantles pockets, and keeping a respectful distance. Forgetful about the dangers of approaching small groups at night and the note in her hand, driven by curiosity only.
