Roleplay addict, I work two jobs which unfortunately cuts back on my roleplay time.

Very cool! So the crew is aware of her magical hijinks then. I was going to go into this thinking she was gonna be all sly about it. Thanks for clearing it up now!
Right. First thing, Madam Lilacflour, being the only magic user in this RP. While our characters might be unaware of her power, I feel an example of her abilities might be in order just so we as writers know what to expect. Or does she regularly make Shinji sprout cat ears and tail just for fun?
For the twins- whooooooooooooooo baby! Chair to the face! I like the comradery they show, but is there any tension between them since they had to pack up and go? Has daddy dearest sent a representative to try and make an offer they can't refuse?
Personality: Being naturally blonde and raised by a single mother in a society that favors conformity, Shinji has gotten used to the stares and derision of his peers. He tends to try and just power through these moments. Whenever he's introduced to new people, Shinji comes off as shy and aloof- he's reluctant to get close to anyone because he's got plenty to hide about himself, what with the unrequited crushes he's had for high school swim athlete Ryu Nakamoru. The first time Shinji was open about his feelings for Ryu-san, Shinji got shot down hard and the news of his feelings for his classmate spread like wildfire. The class eventually moved its attention to other juicy gossip, but not before Shinji went through a hellish two weeks of bullying and ostracism.
Shinji's greatest fear is being exposed as "different" in any way and being further rejected by society at large.
His favorite baked good is a chocolate chip cookie fresh from the oven!
Occupation at the Bakery: Waiter/Apprentice Baker
History: Shinji was born and raised in Okinawa to his mother Yukari, and his father PfC. Kyle Smith of the U.S. Army. Shinji has guessed that the conception was a one-night stand, but the fact that Kyle writes often and pays for summer trips to his home in San Francisco indicates that there were genuine feelings between the two, but something kept his mother and father apart.
After moving to Fukushima in recent years, Shinji had to get used to the stares and questions of his peers all over again. In Okinawa, everyone knew his hair was naturally blond and what his family situation was. Now that his crush on one of his classmates, the heartthrob Ryu has gotten out, Shinji's gotten a reputation at school as a pretty boy uke, and rumors about his supposed crushes swirl every week. Getting a job at the cafe seemed like a good way to escape the rumor mill that followed him in after school clubs and earn a little money on the side for his next trip to America.
Once home to 300,000 human souls, this industrial center in the heart of America died a slow and agonizing death in the 1980s. Now, barely half that many people are left living here. The number would've been lower if not for the gradual influx of supernaturals.
Places like Detroit, Toledo and Greeneburg were recognized by Werewolves, vampires and sorcerers as prime stomping ground for their underground lives. While the humans fled to find work, the wolves and magicians moved in to set up packs, cabals and covens on land that could be bought for a song.
Luna Carina, Alpha of the Greeneburg Werewolf Pack, decided she was tired with her life as a 5-9 security guard at an old steel mill, and with the consent of the pack, has opened up a new company where they can capitalize on their own unique supernatural talents. "Pack Security, Inc." has been around for a little over ten months and has started to become famous among the business leaders around town. Most of the clubs in high-crime areas want werewolves as bouncers, the posh side of town hires vampire security guards to watch over their estates, and a wizard can make good money doing more than just birthday party tricks.
1.) Players are employees of "Pack Security," a supernatural private security company specializing in bodyguard work in the fictional Midwest city of Greeneburg, USA. The firm started out as a werewolf only group (and may still be if the group wants it to stay that way) but the owner, Alpha wolf Luna Carina, has recently hired on a few magic users and bloodsuckers.
2.) The group's latest contract is to protect City Councilman Trey Gutierrez's daughter during a trade show. Some bigwigs from Silicon Valley are coming to scout out defunct offices for their firms. Trey's vote on the matter is the difference between billions of dollars coming into the city- or going overseas. Someone has tried to kidnap Trey's daughter once, and they will likely try again. The perpetrator is unknown as DNA evidence is still being analyzed, but they are likely supernatural in nature as well.
3.) Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to protect the Councilman's daughter from attack or kidnapping until the trade show is done and the deal is voted on. Sounds easy, right? Of course it won't be. Otherwise there wouldn't be an RP!
-----------------------------------------
A few points:
A.) The supernatural is revealed in this timeline, but not everyone is cool with their neighbor being a werewolf. Think the AIDS epidemic in the '80s. A lot of misinformation and a whole lot more distrust.
B.) Magic is restricted to the plausible. If someone wants to roll up a wizard, you won't be slinging fireballs around for fun. However, if you want to give that loose brick over the bad guy's head just the barest nudge, sending it down onto his skull, that's perfectly kosher.
C.) Werewolves, vampires and magicians will be "out of the closet" to the public. Anything outside these three groups is considered "underground" still. People idly speculate that other supernatural stuff exists, but nobody has any proof and with all the scrutiny being applied to the Big Three, they aren't in a hurry to be revealed.
