The beans have left my body. Oh my god this is so painful.

Does anybody have a good RP to recommend that isn't based off of pre-existing material that's dark or high fantasy?

It is an incredibly unwise decision to eat two pounds of baked beans within the span of sixty minutes. I feel so powerful but so flithy.

So many places to look, I'm getting a bit of an overchoice dilemma here.

You think if you tried hard enough you could turn any bad situation into something better? I think about that a lot.

Bio
Hiho, Trip's the name and improvement's my game.
If you don't know me, I'll show me. I guess we should start with what I like to write. Usually I'm doing a lot of things involving dark fantasy or gritty science fiction, there really isn't much between the two when it comes to my most enjoyed genres and I certainly lack the conviction to consistently try anything else (though I may try and work on that) besides those types. I know it's vague, but that's what I got, nothing super profound over here. I think my main intention really is to just improve on my writing. I feel as though I can easily slide out longer posts and call it a day, the problem is how those posts feel like all the same sentences with just cut and replaces subjects and predicates and all. Without passion I feel hopeless in a Role-Play environment if I'm without passion! I absolutely despise it and yet despite all that I still do it. Why? Because RP is fun, I've loved it ever since I started with those old Byond engine games that are older than me, erh, not that I'm too old or anything.
Now other than writing most of my hobbies lie in playing video games and leaving my mark on the world. I really like to build, just to go out into the nearest forest and make something for a few weeks, it could really be anything so I'll leave it vague for now. Video games on the other hand, that varies heavily.
My favorites of all time in no particular order are as follows:
Bloodborne Dark Souls III Yume Nikki Titanfall 2 Devil May Cry 4 Guilty Gear (The entire series.) Mirror's Edge Catalyst Blockland Yakuza 0 Skullgirls
Varied taste, I know. Well, I certainly hope you had a good time here, and I hope some personality was able to shine through these glowing letters behind a screen. If you read the entire thing I certainly appreciate the fact that you're attentive enough to drop down here, I'll see you when I see you. Good day, good night and good afternoon.
Forever the best to you all! Triptophobinos AKA Trip Tripto Phobi Binos Triptop Topho Obino (I think that's enough, isn't it?)
I'd be glad to drop what I prefer to write, and thanks for asking @Chuuya. It's listed in my bio that I pretty much exclusively do dark fantasy and science fiction but thinking on it I'm pretty sure I should probably elaborate on that here. When it comes to dark fantasy I absolutely love incredibly real and morbidly human types of stuff. I know that sounds a weird and might be a bit difficult to understand so an example would be Berserk, as in the manga. My favorite dark fantasy settings are probably the Souls series due to the hard atmosphere and vague lore. Sci-Fi is where things really branch off. I've done gritty futuristic synthwave type stuff but on the same end I've done out-of-this-world balls-to-the-wall Gurren Lagann type stuff. I am very open to trying new genres though, detective genres have been grabbing my eye and I've been meaning to try some more lovecraftian type stuff.
Hey there, before I start anything I do want to say that it is definitely not mandatory to call me Triptophobinos (trip-toe-foe-by-nose) and that the nicknames Trip, Tripto, Binos, Phobi and so on work just as well as my actual username. Now I doubt this is the place to give my entire life story, so I won't, but I'll sure say that I am at least slightly familiar with this spot as I actually did have an old account that I can't seem to get rid of. I made it around half a decade ago though, so I felt incredibly disassociated to it. I've been doing a lot of Role-Playing on Discord, and frankly I do not recommend it. Sifting through trash to find a nugget of gold is the name of the game, there are good spots but don't hold your hopes too high. So I've effectively migrated here, I hope for warm welcomes.
It has been an incredibly long time since I had ever done a proper forum RP, do excuse me if I seem a bit air-headed with the nitty gritty in the site. I swear I'm a good listener! I just can't take too information at once.
Oh, another thing, if there are grammar mistakes or just generally weird lines, that is entirely my fault. It's around 1:40 in the morning as I post this and I'm feeling like spread butter. I hope my first impression wasn't horrible and I hope to play alongside you all.
