Poppy
Who was that? Carrot-top most likely meant her. Poppy wheeled to face the new comers. She glared up at Amanda. "You don't even have the decency to address me, my na-" she started indignantly. When Amanda got double teamed first by Nikki with her elbow, then verbally by Red anything she'd have to say would be redundant so she stopped mid sentence. Ooh, what's he saying to her now? There certainly a reason he didn't say it aloud.
So this was Nikki. Were it not for the name she might have guessed she was a boy. Well she seems nice enough. Red did the favor of introducing them, but she wanted to speak up a little herself. "It's very nice to meet you! Are you new here too?" Now that she'd met some people that she felt mostly comfortable with she could begin to think about things more on the bright side. I wonder what classes going to be like. Hopefully they have regular curriculum because I have no idea what else they expect me to do. And hopefully the don't have PE... She imagined lizard man in a ref outfit blowing a whistle. The thought made her giggle. Poppy promptly sealed her lips, she didn't want them to think it was directed at them. Well if Amanda thought she was laughing at her she wouldn't mind so much. Still she decided that she better reengage with the others.
The comment about her name being weird was mostly ignored. She heard it plenty of times from kids her own age at her last school.
Roomates? Poppy hadn't thought about that. Her private school had dorms, considering that the academy taught through college it made sense though. "That's a good idea" she said anxiously. I hope I have a good roommate... What exactly that looked like she didn't know yet.
"Theresa Obott" Huh, wonder what she's like. From the name alone she couldn't tell anything. If she was a returning student maybe Amanda knew as much as it pained her to ask. Just in case she addressed the other two as well. "Any of you guys know her?"
Vespera
So she speaks. Quite sensitive if I got under her skin so easily. There was the fleeting thought that her ability might be potent. Nothing she would spend any time worrying about. From her experience its the person that makes the threat, not to say that powers didn't make a difference. Because they certainly did.
Since she'd gotten up it looked like things had gotten interesting again. It's hard to believe Chris is still alive. They could catch up later, not that they were close or anything before. Valjean showed himself as well. If all else fails she could count on him to not to turn down a fight. Not the first person she wanted to throw down with since there was a very real possibility of him winning. Nothing was worse than going in to the new season with a loss in her opinion.
Considering the time she changed her mind about checking her room situation. The place was bound to be crawling with fresh meat like flashlight head and Chihuahua. Instead she decided to walk the main path until she crossed paths with somebody worth her while.
Not far up ahead she could hear Vera Asking if somebody was new. She was hoping she could do better. Then she heard Valjean join in. Now things were getting more interesting. Despite their differences Vespera couldn't deny certain similarities. Namely their powers and attitude. So wrapped around Deborah finger. All the more amusing because as far as I know the relationships a one way street. Because of his stubbornness Vespera got a kick out of making passes at him. In jest of course, but in all reality he was one of the only people she would consider hooking up with regardless of whether or not he felt remotely the same way.
Whoever the newcomer was he was playing right into Valjean's hands. Better not miss out. Vespera took her time and didn't make any effort to conceal her approach. Chances were that trio weren't paying that much attention anyways with all the testosterone in the air. She too her place off to the side of Vera and made a scolding sound with her tongue. "Tsk tsk." To Vera she said "Well aren't you popular."
