Serena looked at Anna as she picked her up and put her onto the bed. She didn't understand what was happening at first. She sturggled only slightly, more so because she wanted to go to Sebastian that be lying on the bed. When she clued in, she started to fight. She kept pulling her arm up when she could, trying to prevent Anna from locking her arm up. Even in a weakened condition, she managed to put up a pretty good fight before Anna managed to trap her other hand, "No, no, no, no. Per favore. Per favore... No, no, Sebastian...."

Serena was sobbing by the time Sebastian sat down next to her. She didn't like being trapped. This was the last thing she wanted. She quieted slightly when Sebastian placed the silver ring back on her finger, the fight seeming to drain out of her as she stared up at Sebastian, "Per favore," She whispered, "Per favore, lasciami andare..."

She sniffled, repeatedly saying no as Sebastian spoke to her. She looked up at him and pouted, seeming to realize that he was not going to bite her and she was not going anywhere. She struggled a little more against the restraints before truly giving up, "Stare qui..." She took a deep breath and closed her eyes. She seemed to be focusing hard on falling asleep, trying to do as Sebastian told her. Wanting to make Sebastian happy. Soon enough, her breathing slowed and deepened as she fell asleep, her hair splayed on the pillow and her neck and fresh marks from her father and Anya for the world to see.

Gunner wrapped an arm around Anna as she said she hoped Serena would be okay. He left the infirmary, leaving the sounds of Serena's pleading far behind. He kissed her head, "She is strong... She never looks like it... but she is very strong. She kind of did this once... and she did it alone. Now, she has Sebastian. I'm sure she'll be fine... with time."

He looked at her, "Do you want to go get some food or... go to my dorm and just relax? Get away from everything?"
Serena let Anna drag her out of the building. She managed to translate that Anna was going to take to Sebastian but she just couldn't get it into her head, in her state, that she needed to translate herself and speak English for Anna. She kept mumbling in Italian about Sebastian and getting bitten as they walked to the infirmary. Although, she had calmed down slightly, the blood loss catching up with her. She looked at Gunner when they got to Sebastian's room. Her eyebrows knitted together as they spoke, "Che non è Sebastian! Lui non è Sebastian!"

She struggled a little bit more, slightly more pathetically than she had when they had first left Camillo's room. Gunner looked at her than Anna, "Shit.... He really did a number on her..." There was anger behind his eyes. He thought Anna had been bad, this was insane, and her own father. He shook his head, "I'm glad Sebastian went all mental then.... At least... He'll leave her alone."

When Sebastian woke, Serena seemed to change. Her hands started to shake and she leaned into Anna more, as though she were hiding from something. When he spoke, Serena looked at him and seemed to perk up slightly, having not clocked him there before, "Sebastian! Mi ha morso, mi ha morso. Per favore, per favore. Mi ha morso. Ho bisogno di te."

Gunner stepped between the two and decided that he was the best to break it to Sebastian what had happened and was most capable of taking whatever it was he decided to do. Serena had stopped trying to get loose and was sinking to the ground, mumbling still in Italian. Gunner sat in the chair beside Sebastian bed, "You were right... Anna found Serena's dad.... feeding off of her.... She isn't thinking clearly... Keeps talking in Italian..." He looked at his friend, "If it is too much for you right now... and keep in mind any darkness can make her worse right now... If it is too much for you, we can take her down the hall and calm her down... Knock her out until she comes down from the high and is thinking a little more clearly."
Serena hardly noted that Anna and Jace had entered the room. She just noticed that her father had stopped feeding and that she felt incredibly weak. She leaned against the couch smiling, her mind elsewhere, not paying any attention to the mayhem going on behind her as Jace spoke to her father and his eyes glazed over. He ate into every word, thinking of them as nothing more than his own. He accepted the fact he wanted to return to Italy alone. That there were other girls that he could find, plenty to pick off. He forgot how intoxicating it was to drink from the blood whore he had made. He just listened as Jace repeated again and again, driving it into his head.

Serena felt an arm wrap around herself and she was being moved off the couch. She stumbled and looked at Anna, drunkenly, "Dove stiamo andando? Dove mi stai portando? Quello che è successo? Voglio di più! Io voglio tornare! Io voglio tornare!" She struggled against the girl's hold trying to escape it and return to the room she had just been dragged from. However, she was in a weakened state and could hardly even break Anna's hold on her, "Per favore, per favore. Ne ho bisogno. Ho bisogno di lui," She cried desperately, as continued to looked over her shoulder. She looked at Anna and her eyes widened, "Sebastian. Egli è Moroi. Egli mi morde, no? Per favore, voglio Sebastian. Ho bisogno di più," She begged.

She leaned into Anna more, her legs struggling to carry her, "Voglio Sebastian."
Serena's father looked at Anna when she caught up to them, Serena however, did not meet her eyes. Anna had known, or at least guessed but she hadn't seen what had happened and now her father had planted stories in their head... The words were now his against hers. She knew that were to she say anything to anyone other than Sebastian, they might have their doubts. She knew it and she hated it. The fact that the headmistress was there basically doomed her to returned home to Italy. Her father finally nodded and smiled at her, kindly, "Why thank you. I am Camillo. And you are?"

"Anna..." Serena answered in a small voice. She knew what going to happen. She wanted to beg Anna to guard from within the room, to stop her father. However, she knew her father would say no and Anna would not be able to disobey him. At least, not without risking her career as a guardian. None of her friends even knew that the majority of her scars were from her father... That he had found her in a room with all of his friends snacking on her neck and joined them. That he and his friends had nearly killed her multiple times before. She kept her tears at bay as they arrived to the room, she didn't want to worry Anna. She didn't want to give the girl reason into thinking that there was anything wrong with this. She wanted her to think that she needed to leave Italy because of someone else... Not because of her father.

Camillo opened the door to the room and nodded, "Thank you again, Anna."

Then he ushered Serena in. Once the door was closed behind them, Camillo pointed to the chair, "Sedersi."

Serena made no attempt to retaliate. She might have been stronger, she might have been able to get out of the room but it would have done nothing for her. The temptation gave way to her want to leave. If she stayed, she at least gained something. She sat down where her father told her to, "Mi sei mancato, Serena."

The tears fell from Serena's eyes as her father pulled a seat up neck to her and pushed her hair aside, "Mi hai perso troppo, no?"

Serena stared straight ahead as he leaned closer, "Si..." She whispered before gasping as his teeth bit into her neck.

Gunner managed to catch Sebastian when Anna told him to and held him tightly so that he wouldn't run after Serena. He looked at Anna when he ordered her to follow after their friend, "For Serena," He said, trying to make it seem like less of a order and more something she truly wanted to do. Although, he was sure that she did. Serena looked pretty shaken up after her father showed them her... scars.

He released Sebastian when he calmed down slightly. However, the boy turned on him, saying how he'd never forgive them if he hurt Serena. Although, he highly doubt that he'd never forgive them. He did forgive him after he basically got Anya killed, "We are protecting her from your crazies."

He followed him as he stalked off, not wanting to leave him alone with anyone. He was surprised when he found that he went in search of Gunner's least favourite person, Jace. He looked at him and shook his head when Jace asked if Sebastian was going to have him beat him up, "And I don't need a reason," He spat back. God he hated this kid.

When Sebastian finished asking Jace exactly what it was he wanted him to do, Gunner sighed. He hated this part of Sebastian's insane moments, "Alright, that's enough."

He caught his friends forehead and rammed it into the wall, not hard enough to cause more than a headache, but enough to knock him out. He was scary how good he had gotten at that. He crouched down and lifted Sebastian onto his shoulder and looked at Jace, "Do what he wants. If you really want to make it up to the world what you did to Anna... Serena's been through worse."

He then turned away and carried Sebastian to the infirmary, hoping there was a Spirit user or something that was going to help him with his darkness that wasn't just knocking him out.
Serena's father's eyebrows knitted together when Sebastian spoke, saying that he was not going to take Serena away. He stood talk and glared at the young man, "I don't believe you have much of a say. Serena is not anyone's guardian. She is merely a class project," He looked at the headmistress, "Is she not?"

"Yes..." The woman agreed, "The Wards are only for the year... Although, they can be made official after graduation."

"Which has yet to happen," The man added. He placed his hands on Serena's shoulders, "Not to mention, Serena is yet to be an adult. Meaning, I have the right to take her where ever I so desire."

Serena gasped when Sebastian's anger flared, sending her back into his head. She sat there a moment before being able to pull herself back into her own body. Just as Sebastian started to compulse her father, Serena moved out of her father's hold and pushed Sebastian gently, hoping to stop him, "Stop Sebastian!" She wasn't angry that he was using compulsion but she knew he wasn't in the state of mind to. It could something that simple that pushed him right over the edge of insanity. She looked at him, "Please..." She didn't ever want to see that happen. It had been bad enough for her when he was on the cusp of it...

Her father seemed to get over it quickly, realizing what had happened, "Look here young man," He said ferociously, as Gunner and Anna arrived, "You don't know what you are dealing with," He pulled Serena's hair off her neck, showing her scars to those around her. She closed her eyes tightly and held her breath. She heard the headmistress make a notable gasp. She guessed that her secret was not yet campus knowledge, "Did she tell you that she is suffering with an addiction? That we were putting her through rehab before she ran away? That I found her in a room with multiple men when I made the decision to send her there?" He glared at her, "Shadow-kissed or not, you do not get a choice in what my daughter does or does not do."

He wrapped his arm around Serena before dragging her away from the small group, "And I think it best that you stay away from her."
~
Gunner nodded and stood slowly, following Anna outside. Everything kind of happened in a blur, which might have been do to the fact that he wasn't fully there. Sebastian didn't seem to impressed by something, Serena looked her normal uncomfortable self, Anna was making sure everything alright, and then all of the sudden the man, who Gunner found out was her father, started to nearly yell at Sebastian. He looked at Serena as he moved her hair, showing off her neck that he just realized she always covered, and now he knew why. It looked at though it were almost all scar tissue from Moroi bites, including the new one from Anna. Then Serena was being whisked away. Gunner looked at Sebastian, "What is happening?"
Serena looked up at Jace, clearly uncomfortable with his presence, not just because of what he did to Anna but the knowledge that he might very well know what happened to her. That she had let someone do exactly what he did for much longer. She watched him carefully and was slightly worried when Sebastian fell asleep. She looked up at him again when he told her to stay with him. She nodded and curled up against Sebastian. As exhausted as she was, it didn't take her long to follow him to sleep.

She managed to sleep rather soundly with only glimpses of nightmares. Anya's face, Anna's red eyes, Sebastian collapsed on the ground. She was pulled out of her sleep when Sebastian spoke to her telling her he needed to go outside. She yawned and nodded, climbing out of bed with him. She took his hand and walked with him out of the camp.

When they got out, she was instantly drawn but the sound of yelling, "Ridiculous. That what it is. Absurd, harbouring a runaway and not even realizing it until she nearly dies!" A thick accented man yelled. Serena froze and looked at her father as he saw her, "Serena!"

He called, sounding relieved. He rushed over to her pulling her into his arms and speaking in rapid Italian. Serena's hands shook, "Papa...."

He shook his head, "I've been so worried about you. I took the earliest flight I could," he pet her head, saying something to her in Italian which caused her heart to pound. He kissed her head, "You're mother has been terrified, we have a flight tomorrow, first thing. I'll let you said good bye to your friends, but come to my room tonight. We'll eat and catch up."

Serena nodded, "Si, Papa..."
~
Gunner rest his head against her's, "Hi...."

He kissed her head, "I think Serena and Sebastian walked outside..."
Serena looked at him as little shocked when he said that he loved her. She could feel it in the pit of her stomach that he felt just that. She laughed a little when she said that he was insane at times and looked at him, "Apparently, I might go insane because of this bond too... Sounds like we are a perfect pair," She bit her lip, "I chose the bond..." She said quietly, "I did not understand all what they told me... but I chose it because I can help you with it and I want to help you."

She leaned into him as he wrapped his arms around her waist, enjoying being close to him. She looked at him when he mentioned his idea and started to shake her head, "Both of those need you to use spirit... I do not want to feed... the darkness."

She wasn't sure if she would have said no before she could see and feel the darkness. Now that she could though, she couldn't let him do that to himself, especially for her. She placed her hand on his cheek, "I am happy... That you want to do that for me... But I cannot let you..."

She rested her head against him, "This is something I need to get over myself... and I might one day..." She looked at him, "I can try my best to protect you and.... You can stake Strigoi quite well," She smiled softly. Yes, said Strigoi had been Anna but he had done everything perfectly. She brushed his hair out of his face, "I am very proud of my student."
Serena sat back up when he wiggled a little against his restraints. She looked at them for a moment before she managed to undo them. She hopped off the bed to do the same to his feet as Sebastian spoke about how well she did. She gave him a small smile, "You said that Gunner and Anna's aura are bright around each other... Maybe that is why mine is so bright... because I am around you..." She shrugged, "And I could not let her change you... any of you... You are my friends... But," She bit her lip, "I died because of my scars though... She saw them... and used them and I... wanted it," She said quietly, not meeting Sebastian's eyes. She looked down at her hands, "I let her kill me... I didn't even try to stop it...."

She sniffled a little, feeling like she was a disappointment. She might have just left, feeling as though she were going to be rejected but she could tell that that was not what Sebastian was thinking. She met his eyes, knowing there was no judgement, "I... do not know... If I can be a Guardian..." She didn't realize just how badly she wanted to be one. Her entire life it had just been an escape from home but now realizing that she may never be able to be a Guardian because of her past, upset her. She wanted to protect Sebastian but she couldn't do that if she kept letting Strigoi kill her... She laid down beside him again and rested her head on his chest, "I want to protect you..."
Gunner looked at her, "Spend my days with you... Allowed to protect you without compromising someone else... I think I could live with that," He squeezed her slightly, "Serena can protect Sebastian and we can visit them whenever we want... Sounds like a life worth living."

He kissed her head as she answered his question about Sebastian's lack of yelling, "We will... After a nap... I'm tired..." He held her closed to him and closed his eyes, "Waking up takes a lot out of a person," He joked, considering he had hardly done anything since he woke up. His hold on her loosened a little as he relaxed and drifted off to dreamland.
~
Serena looked up at him and gave him a soft smile through her tears, "I know... Even if you did not do it for that reason... I cannot imagine you hold it against me. You are too sweet."

She liked having a sense of what he was feeling when it was nice. Relief or... even affection toward her. She leaned forward and kissed his head before she took the ring off her finger. She felt the darkness inside of him again, inside of herself. She could practically see it, feel it. She wanted to reach out and touch but some part of her told her not to. Not now. Not when she didn't really understand this bond that she had with Sebastian. She took the ring in her hands and slid it onto Sebastian's little finger. She looked at him, "They told me that it is for when things get bad for you... and start to slip into me..." She played with the ring a little, "Maybe it will help with your darkness...."

She curled back up against him and laid there for a moment. Enjoying being able to lie there, despite the fact that Sebastian was strapped to the bed. Her eyes casted downward as she remembered the reason she had originally wanted to see him, "They know... about my scars..."
