Lauralye looked at him sheepishly. He spoke in a kind and soft voice but she knew he didn't like that she hadn't told him. She pulled her blanket up and around her shoulders, "I didn't wasn't to go home.... Who knows if I'll ever get that chance again. I won't be able to sneak out once I'm married and I don't know if I'll ever be allowed to leave."

She gave him a gentle smile, "I didn't want it to end just because I got the shivers," She sneezed quietly. She closed her eyes and leaned into her pillow, "I had such fun last night too."
Jaya listened to him as he spoke and nodded when he came to an end. She smiled and nodded her head, "Good... I mean not the not forgiving part... The liking the Fire Lord," She shook her head a little, "Not that you have to like the Fire Lord.... It's just..." She looked at him, "I know a lot of good people... who don't... and they haven't been the best since he rose to power."

She sighed and looked ahead on him, her hand resting on her shoulder as they walked, "That's why I came here. The Fire Nation is in a bit of a state of panic... Or... Well... I don't know. Not everyone is happy about the change and they thinking ending the war is a bad decision. Things.... got violent on the streets. So I came here hoping it would be better," She smiled a little, "And it is... If you aren't from the Fire Nation..."

She stuffed her hands into her pockets, "You are a long ways from home... And considering you heard from friends about the Avatar, I assume that you were born in the Northern Water Tribe. What brought you all the way to the Earth Kingdom? And by yourself, no less."
Update.
Jaya folded up her map when Nikko made no complaint about travelling south. She put it carefully back into her bag and pulled it onto her shoulders. She smiled at him, "I'm beginning to see that."

Nikko wasn't like many of the people she had met. He didn't seem to care that she was Fire Nation, or that she preferred Fire Lord Zuko to Ozai. She stood and adjusted her bag on her shoulders, "Alright, we'd best get moving. Don't want to have to walk in the dark any."

She waited a moment for him to gather himself and his things before she started to walk south. She pulled a small compass out of her pocket and started to walk south. Then stuffed it away again. She smiled at Nikko as they began their long walk and journey together, "So... What do you think about the Avatar and Fire Lord Zuko?" She figured, it was best to get this conversation over and done with.
Zelia gave a small laugh at Sanders reaction to the time that she woke up. She remembered Trex giving her a similar look the first time he woke up on a job to find her already awake and ready for the day. She could see, in that look, how similar they were. She shook her head all the same in reply to Sanders' question, "No, sorry, I can't. Well, I could. But I'd be lying."

She smiled at him and giggled slightly when he mentioned that she would do well on a farm. She nodded her head and was about to reply when he mentioned Trex not being the farming type. Her face flushed slightly and she gave a laugh that she hoped didn't sound awkward or nervous, "I don't see the connection," She scratched her head a little, "But I don't believe you give your brother enough credit. He is quite good with animals. I'm sure he would have kept the horses if he had the room for them."

Zelia looked up at Trex when he entered the room shortly after. She gave him a small relieved smile, knowing that wherever that conversation was going a moment ago, would have to stop. Strange, that she felt as though she was saved by the man whose brother seemed to be trying to unnerve her. Trex did warn him about him though. When he asked what was up, she shrugged, "We were just... talking about you. Your brother doesn't think you are a farm boy, that the city's changed you. I was defending your honour."

She took Bodo from Trex, knowing well that he wasn't particularly comfortable with the creature. Ruining his tough guy image and all. She stood and placed a couple pillows on a chair and placed Bodo on the other side of the chair, leaving Trex to sit between them. Kyla came over and placed the food that her and Zelia had made on the table, "Alright, lads... and Zelia, dig in."

Zelia smiled and started dishing up some food for Bodo before returning to her own seat and placing food on a plate of her own. She looked at Trex, "Now, why didn't you tell me you were sleeping in the barn, Trex?"

Bodo looked at him, "Oooo, are you in trouble, Trex?"
Lauralye looked up at him, "I used to get sick more often when I was younger. I guess I just have a weak immune system... After being locked up in this castle for the last twelve years of my life."

She rose her hand to her mouth and coughed. She glanced at Robert, "You might as well sit down... I don't think I'm going anywhere today..."

The doctor came in shortly after. He did a quite check over of Lauralye, "You should be fine, your highness. I just want someone to change that cloth on your head every so often and," he looked at the handmaidens and Robert, "One of you come and get me if she starts vomiting at all. Otherwise, allow her to get lots of rest."
Lauralye pulled the blanket up to her chin, "Cold.... and hot... and... tired," She closed her eyes a little before sneezing. She groaned and opened her eyes again, "I don't normally get sick like this..."

The maid in waiting closed the window, trying to make the room warmer for the Princess. She tossed another blanket on her and made sure it covered her, "I'll go see where the doctor is," She said quietly before leaving the room.
Lauralye looked over to Robert when she saw him moving. She had been far to distracted by his wings the first time and only time she saw him without his shirt on. She noticed that he was quite muscular, but not too much so, like some of the knights. She banished thoughts a moment later though, reminding herself that she was betrothed, she couldn't be having such thoughts. She curled up under the blankets a little more and smiled at him, "Morning," she nearly whispered.
Lauralye woke up the next morning, curled up in her blankets and shivering. She sat there a moment before she sneezed. One of the handmaids, who had been cleaning Lauralye's room quietly while she slept came over to her, "Princess?" She said quietly.

She placed her hand on the girl's forehead and sighed, "Poor thing, you're running a fever," She turned to the other woman, "Run and grab the doctor, will you? I'm sure it is nothing serious, but we best have her checked out."

The woman nodded and left the room before the first went and grabbed a cold cloth, placing it on Lauralye's head, "We'll have you better soon enough, Princess."
Lauralye looked over her shoulder, trying to see the last of the town as they flew over the wall. When they landed, she found her legs surprisingly tired from holding them up as they flew. She caught herself on the front of Robert's shirt and looked up at him, "Sorry," She whispered before straightening and standing properly on her own two feet. She walked tiredly into her bedroom and yawned, she was quite sure that she hadn't stayed up this late in years. She hadn't a reason to. She slipped into her closet and returned a moment later with her hair down and dressed in a simple white night gown. She paused at looked at Robert, "Thank you," She said quietly before she walked over to her bed and climbed in. She was out as soon as her head hit the pillow.
