Lauralye did not move from the bed as Robert bathed. Instead, she just enjoyed what it felt like to be lying in it again, even alone. When she looked at Thedas when he reemerged clean and smiled. When he asked her if he would feel so real, she took hold on his arm and pulled him back properly onto the bed. She giggled a little and sat up. She placed a hand on his chest and just stared at it, "I suppose not..."
Lauralye was woken by the feeling of something brushing through her hair. She opened her eyes to find that she was still in Robert's arms. She smiled, "So... It wasn't all dream," She whispered and she pressed herself against him more. She didn't move away from him any nor did she even lift her head to look up at him. She traced small circles with her fingers over his chest, "You should bathe... You smell of blood and battle," She glanced at him, "I will still be here when you return."
Lauralye returned in a nightgown and climbed into the bed beside him. She smiled down at him, brushing his hair out of his face. She leaned forward and kissed his nose before she lowered and curled up on his arms. She closed her eyes and allowed for sleep to take her. Something about dying and being resurrected really tired her out.
Lauralye smiled at him, "I can hardly see you under it all," She laughed a little, "Come, you must get some rest. You look like you haven't slept in days." She stood and placed the rag on the side of the bucket, "You can have a proper bath when you wake." She helped him to his feet and supported his weight as best she could as she walked with him to the bed. She laid him down and tucked him in. She leaned down and kissed his forehead, "I will join in one moment. You had best be asleep before I'm back," She smiled at him before slipping away to get dressed for bed.
Lauralye sneaked a glance up at Thedas when he sighed. She smiled as she saw him relaxing before she returned her attention to cleaning him. When she had wiped his torso clean, she dunked her rag once more before she moved and sat on Robert's lap. She took the cloth and wiped his forehead and cheeks, cleaning his face. She smiled at him, "You are somewhere under all this dirt, aren't you?"
Lauralye stepped forward and took hold of the bottom of his shirt before she pulled it over his head. She did her best not to get more blood on him but at times it seemed unavoidable. When his shirt was off, she looked at him pants which seemed quite clean, "Sit," she told him before disappearing into the bathroom once more. She returned without the shirt, which she left in the tub and walked over to him. She knelt in front of him and dipped the rag into her bucket before sitting up on her knees and began to wipe away the blood and dirt on his torso.
Lauralye looked at him when he stopped her hands. She smiled softly when he explained and nodded her head, "Alright." When the chest plate was removed, she looked at the hole in his shirt. She wondered if that was how her dress looked when she died. she reached back and touched where she had been stabbed... She was curious if had yet to heal or when she was brought back to life if it had left as scar as well. She bit her lip, "You should change out of that shirt... It is drenched in blood." She stood and retrieved a bucket of water and a cloth from the bathroom and placed it on the floor. She looked at him, "Do you need help?"
Lauralye ran down the steps to meet them. She wrapped her arms around him and smiled into the crook of his neck. She took in his smell and the sound of his own heart beat and ignored the feeling of the two men staring in wonder at their dead Queen. She took a step back, "Let's get you inside," She said quietly. She grabbed her skirts and ran back into the palace, "Guards!" A few men appeared, eyes wide when they saw her, "Help bring R-Thedas to our rooms." She followed behind the men and shooed them away to leave them alone when they had sat him down. Her small fingers started to make work on his armor, untying and removing it.
Aphrodite smiled as the men carried away her son, "You will be well before you reach the threshold," She told, slightly aware that he would not be aware of ambrosia... Her poor son having to live as a human, "And I will have hell to pay," She said under her breath before she disappeared... Hades would want words with her. Lauralye opened her eyes to find herself lying in a dark room. She sat up to find herself in black lace and in a coffin. She took a deep breath... She was glad for the war and them not yet burying her... She couldn't have dreamed waking up under the earth. She awkwardly climbed out and fixed her skirts. What had happened? Why was she in here? She walked up the stairs to a door and place her hand on it to find that she didn't pass through. Her heart skipped a beat. She laughed a little and placed her hand on her chest, feeling the steady beat below her breast. She pushed the door open, "Robert," She said quietly as she began to run. She ran down the hall and out the front door to see three men walking through the gate. The one in the centre... Her Robert, "Robert," She cried, bringing her hands to her mouth, tears streaming down her cheeks.
Lauralye sighed and wrapped Robert's arms around her before she curled up in them, "If you must die... I wish for you to die holding me." She rested her head on his chest and closed her eyes, trying not to cry. She didn't know why she was crying, he was coming to her after all... They could be together but she didn't wish for him to die. "Halt," A woman's voice said the pounding of boots running to them seized. Lauralye opened her eyes to see a very tall and beautiful woman standing over them. The woman smiled down, "It is always something special to see love the lasts passed death. Of course, I would have nothing more than that kind of love for my son. I put much effort into weaving your feelings..." She knelt beside them and removed sword from Robert's stomach, "Your father, Thedas, is going to be awfully angry with me... Oh and the Fates," She laughed a little, "But I can hardly let this all end here..." She waved her hand and Lauralye disappeared as Aphrodite brought a small cake to his lips, "Eat this and I promise, you will see your Lauralye again, my son." She then looked to the men, "Well, what are you waiting for? Take him back to the palace... I believe there is someone waiting for him."
