@Tuxedo Fox Yeah, I didn't see that you had created a character along those lines. But now that you mention it it could be pretty cool. They could even have known one another before the War, and have a 200+ year-old grudge.

Yeah thats what I was thinking-Like the two could have had a "breaking off" point and been goin in opposite directions ever since. Dunno if you have read my guys bio but he is an extreme loyalist to the Souvreux (tottally misspelt that) bloodline, was thinking about bringing him in once the revolution really gets started. Actually meant to ask Odure if I could intro him listening to that recent radio broadcast while he kinda got ready for shit to hit the fan.

Edit: Im off to read your post and get one of my own up.

If you are interested in this idea and want some more details me and Odure talked about character wise that aren't in his bio shoot me a pm man.
I could always create another character, to make up for the shortcomings on the revolutionary side. I even have an idea; a ghoul veteran of the Chinese Army who has lived in and around the Wasteland for years.

Lol I know you guys already talked about it but I just saw this. Sound's like he'd be a total mirrored image of Reynard-kinda a neat concept, two characters that were once somewhat the same (in regards to serving the republic) only to now be at complete and utter odds in what they believe.
@The Kraken@Kidd

Just wanted to let yall know I got a bit up in the Skype
Alright, I've taken a read and I've come up with an opening post, @Ulstermann and @Tuxedo Fox, would you mind if I started in the lighthouse? I wanted to escape from it after being taken captive by the raiders.

It's up to Ulster, Im fine with whatever myself.
@Ulstermann

SECONDARY QUEST- A Light in the Darkness

Crouching low against the rocky terrain next to Carson Boss nodded his head in agreement as he clearly followed Carsons logic. Although not the smartest man alive Boss knew combat well; and when backed by a sound plan from a smarter mind like Carson he was rare to fail. "If you want." Boss took hold of his shotgun in one hand, his free hand (the left one) quickly unsheathing his crude machete. The rusted nasty looking piece of steel resembled an old world lawn mowers blade attached to a makeshift albeit sturdy looking handle. The hunk of metal he now clutched in his hand looked like the last thing on earth any sane individual would want to be struck with. Hell, Boss just felt dirty looking at the thing.

Using the handmade strap attached to his shotgun Boss strung the deadly instrument onto his back onto before quickly drawing his pistol. The way he held the machete and gun now oppositely mirrored the way he had held the same combination on the boat moments earlier; a fact only a keen eye would pick up-Boss didn't even know he was ambidextrous.

“You cover me like you were sayin and I'll try and go as far as I can without being noticed. Once the shit hits the fan though Ima need some damn good cover fire, deal? You keep the fuckers distracted and I can gut em with this” He raised the crappy looking machete. “You don't wana know how well I can use this. Not first hand anyways.”

With a sound plan in mind the two parted ways, Boss quickly losing sight of Carson as he made his way up towards the wreckage that was the Southern Star. Along the way he quietly dispatched two raiders that had wandered a little to far from the safety of the group; a few quick brutal hacks from his machete quietly tacking out the shipwrecked crewman before they knew what had happened..

Blood dripping from his machete Boss continued to advance unnoticed; just waiting for the shit to hit the fan.
Anyways Ill be back in like 30 minutes to an hour, gotta go out to eat real quick. Look forward to talkin when I get back. And if you want to set up a skype group or somethin guys go ahead-Ill join whatever group yall come up with lol
@Tuxedo Fox We wouldn't be using mics or vid or anything. Just the IM feature on Skype--I know mic chat can make some people (including me haha) uncomfortable when they don't know everyone else, so don't worry. So I guess when the OOC gets going, I can make a Skype group for us.

<Snipped quote>

Definitely. Like it'd be slower to get into, I think. So I'm fine with anything and I think compensating for the whole "our characters are already supposed to know each other" is easy enough. Maybe if we bring it down from a year and make it a weekish?

I think thats actually a pretty good Idea man-maybe make it like two weeks or something for shit to have really gone bad, iether way though extending it down to only being less then a month in would probably be a good idea character wise for everybody.

Skype would probably provide the best platform for a group chat setting, its a little more reliable in my experience. I guess you'd have to take a role call on who all would be willing to do the collabing as well though, because then something else might suffice like Chatzy.

Im honestly down with whatever you guys deciede-I have 0 expierence with iether. Only thing I've ever really used is what we used on that other rp.
I'm comfortable with the amount we have here, I think it'll make for a good starting size to all collab on. If you're wanting to have a tight-knit group to work on it with then I wouldn't exceed the 5 that are here, if there are too many then it'll make it hard for everyone to pitch in on the ideas and such. Just my two cents though, feel free to disregard it

Nah I totally agree Kraken, best to close things off now.
Ohh, I like that idea. But I also think it's difficult to start a RP where all the characters are supposed to know each other already. So maybe once the characters are all posted, we can establish some basic relationships (and add them to the CSs or not for reference) before the IC actually gets going.

Also for small groups, I think it helps keep interest if we have a chatroom going. I've used Chatzy and Skype for smaller RPs to discuss things OOC if you're interested?

Im down with using anything where I don't have to use a mic to talk things ooc (my gf gets all mad when I talk on a mic lol) so if you got anything in mind like that just leme know, Im totally down to talk.

I was also gonna say-what about the idea of starting the rp right as the outbreaks happening? This would solve the problem you were talking about but likewise presents its own problems to solve.
