Full Name: Sarah Floure
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Personality: Independent and mule headed would describe Sarah rather accurately. Growing up in a rough crowd she is a fighter and not afraid of voicing her opinion. She has the characteristics of a child left to fend for herself and has a real problem trusting others. That doesn't mean she won't cooperate though. There is something to be said for safety in numbers, a lesson learned the hard way, but outlive your usefulness and you may be on the short end of the stick. Those that do manage to gain her trust though can be sure she'd be willing to break a limb to look out for you.
Appearance: Standing 5' 1" and weighing 112 lbs. Sometimes mistaken for a boy Sarah has a slim frame without much in the way of accentuating curves. She dresses like a tomboy with simple clothing, shirts, jeans, cropped tank tops, overalls, etc... nothing fancy. Her skin shows signs of roughhousing with the occasional light scar. Not one for makeup her hazel eyes stand out as they seemingly change color depending on the lighting, however they tend to appear green most of the time.
Skills & Weaknesses: Sarah has quite a few skills under her belt though none of them are particularly honed. Most revolve around survival, particularly on the streets. She knows a decent amount of improvised combat that mostly resembles kickboxing. Her experience with weaponry is somewhat limited but she does know how to wield a blade and fire a gun. Athletic by necessity she can parcor well enough to get up, over, and around obstacles in unconventional ways.
She is a fairly good negotiator when she has to be. You don't make it very far if you can't make a deal every now and then. That said she can lie without batting an eye and can be hard to read during these times. Living in the inner city she's learned a few useful survival skills on the side but certainly is no expert.
Background: Growing up on the streets of Indianapolis life was tough for Sarah. It wasn't that she was an orphan or anything, her parents were just good for nothing and didn't really care what the girl did. They made by with what little wasn't spent on booze or drugs. Since she wasn't given much as a child Sarah learned pretty quickly that if she wanted anything she would need to get it herself. The streets have a particular way of shaping how one goes about that though. When you're younger you find a group and deal in petty crime. Shoplifting, pickpocketing, and the like.
You also tend to run into rival gangs. That didn't really mean much until her group started getting into their teens. As you got older you were either picked up by older gangs or tried to strike it out on your own. Initially Sarah fell in line with a local gang that controlled several blocks, but behind their back she dealt with several neighboring gangs to try and game the system. This of course could only last so long before she was found out and she had to move on or face getting beaten, stabbed or shot if she was lucky. Back to being a street urchin she had to watch her back and make deals where she could without attracting too much attention.
It was during this time that her personality as a loner really set in. People couldn't be trusted to have her best interest in mind without an ulterior motive. During this period, and too long ago, a peculiar change began to take place. Over the span of a few month Sarah's strength began to increase through no effort of her own. At first it was subtle, being able to lift heavier loads and navigate the streets more easily. However it didn't take long before the girl realized that her strength wasn't some normal development. Before long she could lift a car and punch through a wall with ease. Proportional to her strength also came durability. Able to shrug off significant impacts, knives, and your average gun shot Sarah was becoming a force to be reckoned with.
Her reputation slowly began to proceed her as simple interactions were hazardous to the people and things around her. Unintentional property damage and injuring others put a target on her in two ways. Gangs at large either saw her as a potential asset or a rivaling force. While Sarah didn't really want either she garnered attention none the less as she tried to adjust to her newfound strength. In the underground she had just earned the nickname Bulletproof Red (B Red for short) when she suddenly vanished from the streets. Before anyone else had the chance to get to her an outside group or organization swooped in and captured her. Finding herself in a specialized train car things were looking bleak until an explosion turned over the cars and tossed her around.
