@squints Not at all I'm afraid, I was simply going to provide a basic list of races (with the potential to add in other races if people want more of a variety) and have people choose which race they would like to be- filling in a character sheet so we can keep track of who is who :)

As with any rule of roleplay I don't want to see any character be a 'Mary Sue' as it were, in general I like to see people play fairly and within the means of their character. Does that make sense? Proper guidelines surrounding the RP will be posted accordingly :)

Tabletop style RP is welcome to be used within the Threads that come away from the main one 'Thread Two etc' but it won't be used within the main 'Tavern' Thread.

Any suggestions for races here would be most welcome!

Bullying. Advice

From personal experience-

Keep a diary of all incidents, including times, places, people involved and descriptions- the more detail the better
Tell the bully to stop
If there is no response tell them that if they continue you will have to report them (tell a trusted adult, can be a teacher, a parent, or if older a PCSO or Police Officer)
If it still continues, then tell a trusted adult who (hopefully) will reprimand the bully
Avoid going places alone
Avoid any contact with the bully, face to face or online/texting
Keep telling people you trust around you about it/ reporting it to the relevant authorities
In dire circumstances, consider booking yourself a few defence classes so if the worst comes to it you can at least know how to physically defend yourself without implementing yourself in a criminal offence... (E.G learn basic self defence, blocking techniques etc and not use force that is excessive and potentially get you in trouble)

And most of all, don't keep any feelings bottled up, this can cause so many emotional problems to yourself that will not end well. Even if you post on here, keep a diary or talk to someone you trust. Don't keep your feelings to yourself.

Yeah sort of oldey timey I know that's fairly vague but I have the images in my head of: horses and carts, no modern technology, pirates, farms, ports open to trade, a royal navy of some sort, clothing similar to that of Pirates of the Caribbean, different status's etc...

I'm thinking it should be an ambiguous time-scale and place- so as not to have to worry too much about including facts etc about real life history?



I think the easiest reference for what I'm thinking of would be Anglo-Saxon times possibly?
Similar to the visual aspects/ clothing from Game of Thrones, The Enchanted Forest in Once Upon a Time, The Elder Scrolls, Fable etc...

I hope that gives enough reference of the type of setting and time I'm going for?

I'm also open to different races/beings/classes/species etc being included just let me know in this thread what sort of species etc you'd like to see included and I'll do my best to include everyone!

Thanks for the interest guys, which forum do we think the main 'Tavern' Thread should be placed? I'm thinking maybe place it in the casual RP section and then place the resulting threads in whichever section the GM wants them to be in?
