Does it really matter in the name of story-telling?Step one in good decisive NRP'ing: drop the AOE/Civ schtick.

I know. I'm thinking dwarves, I just don't know whether to make them suited for war or diplomacy and culture. Perhaps both.

Also I can only post on my iPod. I won't be able to post any fancy pictures or anything.
Don't know whether to try for war or diplomacy...
I've been thinking about joining this thread. I noticed on the first page the question of a map was brought up. Has one been made? If not then I'd prefer to join after the map is completed.

.
This still open? Also, if I did make a character, would I have to create a picture of my character which everyone else seems to be doing?

I'm going to be making my first thread. I just want to learn how to use the system.
It probably doesn't matter, but does this take place in the comic universe or the show universe?
Thanks!

I've looked at a few of the roleplays. They don't seem too different from the roleplays I'm used too, so it probably won't take long for me to adapt. I have a few questions though.

1. What/where are the rules? I'm assuming spamming and being a jerk isn't allowed, and I know some sections have certain standards. But what about swearing, mature content, etc. The site I came from was pretty restrictive.
2. If I were to make a thread, how would I go about it? By that I mean posting rules, character sheets and the like. So far I've seen people just do an Introduction as an In-character post, and throw all the rules and character sheets into OOC. It's a new system to me, and I don't want to screw up creating my first thread.
Pretty new here, but not to Roleplaying. I used to only roleplay on the forums of a site called Runescape, but that kind of died out. I'm not entirely sure how things work here, so an explanation would be appreciated.
