'I'm awake, but I feel like I'm coming out of a coma right now, what's going on? Why is it so hard to move right now?' the muffled voice of a man, possibly a younger one, crept into my head ever so slowly. It seemed like if I just focused on his voice long enough the ringing In my ears would stop and my eyes, which felt glued shut, would finally open. The first words I heard were nothing but indistinct noises, but come the second time around, the HELLO? was more clear. Just open them! Open your eyes and figure out what happened! my eye lids flickered open and after the initial 10 seconds of blurred vision, my eyes started to come into focus.
My first sight, after my eyes adjusted, was a young man hovering over me."hi..." A much needed cough sprang out of my mouth without warning. My eyes shifted around nervously, looking at the wreckage around me. My arms stagger a bit as I plant my hands down on the broken window beneath me pushing myself up to a sitting position. The adrenalin and sudden change of scenery helped me ignore the pain in my left arm and the minor cuts that would soon be scattered across my palms. "What's happening right now? What happened to the bus?" A stupid question to ask. I realized this man is in the same situation As me, trying to get information from him seemed a bit futile. But, if he caught a glimpse at the car or other bus that hit us or something, maybe it would put my mind at ease a bit.
