Mind if I ask how many characters we're allowed at a maximum?
Pallet Town, Kanto Region. Home to the greatest of Pokemon Professors and the one who almost made the best ground-breaking scientific advancement, Professor Oak. It would have been fantastic! Pokemon, talking like humans! The possibilities could have been endless! Only problem?

"Hey, if I ate a pumpkin, would that be cannibalism? Because I'm not a pumpkin anymore." Oak's math was a bit off. This was the product of trusting advanced genetic mathmatics to the guy who couldn't remember his grandson's name. Instead of just talking like humans, the Pokemon he tested on - or at least, the ones who weren't snatched by Team Sinister - wound up looking awfully human-like too. Some more than others. This Pumpkaboo, for instance, could have passed off as perfectly human if she wanted to. Others, not so much. For instance, a Braviary who hadn't awakened from her slumber would have trouble claiming to be human with big-ass wings sticking out her back. This Pumpkaboo - possibly because it was a species that hadn't evolved - was among the first to wake up from a gene-altering nap. If Oak's math was right this time, the ones who hadn't yet awakened would be getting up any moment now.
Every musician on RPG should have to do their version of this song before they're allowed to post anymore. Now please excuse me while I learn this by ear, write it my way, then get the mountains of dust off my Soundcloud account.
What is this Free you speak of?
As a born-and-raised American, 4.6/10
Guys, we stopped being the best country on Earth about a half-dozen presidents ago. Our economy's down the shitter, we either hate every other country or get stereotyped as such, and we've got a shady-ass government. Everybody else probably does too, but still. Comparing our technology level to our national GPAs, we may also be one of the dumbest nations out there, and we're too wrapped-up in the pride we forgot to ditch in the early 2000s to notice just how bad things have gotten.

Until we're not something our founding fathers would be appalled by, I'm keeping my score at a solid 4.6.
Seconded. See what I did there? Because it's the second idea
I'll stop now.

Will probably go with a GLaDOS-esque Magnemite I have in my own gijinka RP, and a Rotom if I can have two.
Finally posted =w=
They are Feeders. They feed. On stuff.
They were feeding. These little would-be beasties weren't quite god-slayers yet, but for now, it was working. Deciding to uncreatively call them Feeders, The Amorphous Jowls watched his creations carefully. It was as these little things ganged up on one slightly bigger thing that the revelation hit it. In a perfect moment of clarity, The Amorphous Jowls came to the stunning realization that these Feeders would never defeat him like this. They were one cell each, with a mighty mouth being their only defining feature. They would never destroy an Entity like Jowls. They could barely destroy anything with a notably bigger body! The Feeders had to grow.

It was then that The Amorphous Jowls gave them the gift of multicellular bodies. Still not gigantic monsters that could kill it, of course. Their bodies had a total of maybe ten cells, ending in the mouth on one end and abso-frigging-lutely nothing on the other end. It was a simple form, but it was something. It wasn't his intention, but a longer body would be capable of constricting prey. That would have to be a future project, he decided. For now, he'd need to let his Feeders do exactly what they were literally designed to do. Eat.

Either your edit didn't save, or you missed a spot near the end. I'm gonna go post with that friendly heads-up out of the way ^_^;;
because termites didn't develop cold resistance immediately?
(meaning because our termite overlords said so)
