@FortunesFadedYou can say they were on the ship as it approached (As I assume there will be RP while we travel there) or maybe before we leave someone gets on as they are late. Maybe there are people already on station who haven't died or you can see that you need more men so you call for reinforcements. There always a way to get people into a RP after it has begun. It just takes a little work around

@FortunesFadedIf you have read 'The Expanse' books, humans group is the UN. You could do that for the EU or something. Still make them corrupt as hell
