Sorry for my world those two are interchangeable. But you get what I mean? That bear's soul or spirit has been warped to the point where even its physical self has changed into something vile and contorted. It can be reversed, but it's dangerous and foolish.

How do I explain this... You yourself have a spirit, I have a spirit, everything alive around us has a spirit. But the bear's spirit has been warped causing it to change wildly. Does that make sense?

Honestly, I would try to purge it myself. But I've determined that it would probably drain me of my strength before I finish my spells. I know a few druidic and shamanistic practices.

A corrupted spirit... Its converting everything around into this stuff and pumping it out... It can't grow anymore but it can't exactly stop sucking up everything around it.
