Magickal Assassins

The year is 1888 in a parallel earth. It is a steam-punk society run by the science of steam and the magick of arcana. Society has grown and prospered, and is in the middle of an economic and scientific boom. But not everyone is happy with this society run by science that uses magic as a tool for their own betterment, and not actually respecting the arcane arts. One day, on a routine mission, an assassin for the Jack-Ripper Assassin Guild uncovered a scheme. He overheard a circle of eight arcane practitioners planning a most dastardly plan. A plan to destroy this society and instil a dark age of magickal superiority. The assassin was found, but managed to escape, but not before taking a round of magickal energy, knocking him out. When he woke up in a dark alley, he found out he had acquired some new magical powers. But when he returned to the guild, he was shunned and ousted as a twisted freak of nature. To re-establish his humanity, he decided to hunt down these witches and wizards. But to do so, he would have to embrace these new powers, and he cannot do it alone.

So this is where you come in. There is any number of roles you can take, including:
~Another magicked assassin
~Normal assassin
~Magick user
~Non-believer
~Anything you can think of.
Only limiting factor is that you will be working with my character in his quest to reclaim his humanity, and save the society.

High-casual posting standards, with a paragraph minimum.

So, any takers? I have a set story-line, set story points, and set ideas. The rest is completely up to us how we take it :)

Cool and calculative, Ivan likes to observe battles and formulate strategies based on the evidence and data he acquires. He is very smart and perceptive, but his personal skills can be a touch lacking at times, as he fails to understand that not everyone thinks the same way or sees the same things. Can come across as aloof and abrasive to the point of superiority, but really it is just him not understanding where other people come from.

Are others allowed to know our pokemons stats and our items? How will we do random encounters? Pokemon battles? Catching? Is there a RNG that we all get to see or is it solely done by you? What level are our pokemon? Can they only have four moves from the list you gave us, or all of them? What region are we in?
