Militaristic Description (How is yo army fool):
The Assyrian Army is a well trained task force making up a large minority of the population between 18 - 25. This is because any Assyrian citizen must serve in the army from 18 to 20, and if they do good enough on a test, they must serve from 20 to 25.
The Assyrians prefer ground and air combat over everything, only using sea combat when needed. The Planes are advanced, but the amount of planes they have compared to other larger nations is very low. With only about 5000 high class planes, with the rest being older models.
History:

It stays the same until the Babylonian Revolution, in which the Assyrian armies crush it and put down any sense of independence. After this event, the Assyrians start another age of expansion, as they take the borders they now have today (Except for Cyprus).

The Assyrians stay a power in the region, this is shown in the Greco-Assyrian war, in which the Assyrians fight a long war against the forces of Alexander the great, and eventually, the war ends in an Assyrian victory, with the Assyrians taking all of Eastern Turkey. Alexander the Great forges an alliance with those who managed to survive the invasion which formed the Assyrian-Greek pack. The Greeks end its invasions towards that area and start to focus on other problems.

When the Romans attacked the Assyrians in 120 BC over the state of Antioch, the war was bloody. The superior numbers of the Roman Empire going up against the technology of the Assyrians. In the end, the Assyrian people manage to survive the war and take Cyprus and Crete. The Assyrians don't lose any land from the war, and the Roman Empire must expand to other areas.

In 50 AD, when an Assyrian king visits Jerusalem, he is met by a Christian missionary. The Missionary converts him and the king makes Christianity the state religion.

Time stays the same until the 800s when Islam spreads to the lower lands of Assyria. The Assyrian king accepts it as another Abrahamic religion, and doesn't really do anything other with it. He doesn't make any laws to ban it or anything else.

In 1000 AD, the Egyptians declare war on the Assyrian Empire. The war is fought mostly on the Sinai peninsula, and it results in an Assyrian victory. The Assyrian empire dethrones the Egyptian King, putting a new one in charge.

In 1255, the Assyrians are forced into a war with the Mongols. This war begins the longest war in Assyrian history, known as the Doomsday. The war lasted from 1255 all the way to 1280, and ended in a Stalemate. The Mongol Ruler Möngke Khan started the war with the Assyrians because they wanted to control Baghad.

History stays relatively peaceful for a decent amount of time. Assyrian Assimilation rates go through the roof, with the ethnic majority of Assyrian spreading through the empire. By the time 1492 rolled around, the empire was 70% Assyrian.

In the 1840's, the Commonwealth sells the Sinai peninsula that used to be owned by Egypt the the Assyrians.

Thats it, the Assyrians stay the same from this on. Or by same I mean simply no big wars and the continuation of Assimilation across the empire. The Assyrians are a world economic power and a military powerhouse in the middle east. The Assyrians are also working on a type of bomb said to have the ability to wipe out whole cities.

Diplomacy (Is Peace or War Preferred): Peace if they can help it, they usually take over colonies by freeing them from tyrants and placing them under the Spanish/British Democracy.
Militaristic Description: Very good at naval battles, the largest navy in the world by far.
History: All British and Spanish history is the same until 1763. from there, the following edits are made:
The seven Year's War gave Britain control over the South Louisiana territory and Estern Canada. The proclamation of 1763 states that colonists will not be protected past the Appalachians.
1 month before the planned ratifying of the 'Declaration of Independence', King George was dethroned in Britain. A purely parliamentary government was set up. The colonies gained representation, and stayed under the control of the British Parliamentary Commonwealth.
In 1789, the French Revolution, inspired by the British, takes place. Napoleon is later put into power, but the British help the fence dethrone the tyrant and put in place a model parliamentary government.
In 1812, the First Colonial War takes place. The Netherlands go against Britain and France over the issue of British claims to South Africa. It was a fairly short war, and at the end of it Britain had annexed the two countries and South Africa.
In 1821, the Spainish Revolution asked for aid from Great Britain in exchange for Spain joining the commonwealth. The British accepted, and within 6 weeks, the Greater Spanish-Brutish Commonwealth was formed.
In 1833, the Second Colonial War was fought. Portugal and Denmark attempted to invade France through Spain due to contested claims in Southeast Asia. the war was fought until 1840, and was one of the most gruesome wars the world had seen. As a condition of surrender, both nations were annexed to the Commonwealth and France gained control over Southeast Asia.
Other: Due to the Commonwealth selling off many colonies at the end of the war, the Commonwealth has become very rich. It's GDP is estimated at 350% of the global average, and many people within the commonwealth are rather happy about this development. They are currently researching the nuke, and fear war with Russia and Germany.

Historical Madness (Huge Alt History RP)

Earths History, something loved by billions of people. Something hated by Billions of others. During the age of humans on earth, empires have risen and fallen, wars fighting across the planet have been fought, and horrible crimes have been committed, but what if some of these events never happened. What if, for example, Byzantium manages to push back the Ottomans and reform part of their Empire. Another example is what if instead of Spain in 1492 forming colonies in the Americas, the Chinese in the 900 hundreds get to the Americas instead. These events, and thousands more, are up to you to create.

Welcome to Historical Madness, a Nation Roleplay that begins in the year 1936, because of reasons. History, the fragile thing, is up to you to change. Nations that actually existed during the time, such as Germany, can be changed or even erased, and nations that didn't exist during the time, such as the , can now exist. This may make it look like only historical nations can be changed, and yes, while events must focus around historical nations, you are allowed to make new nations that connect to history. Such as a majority Chinese California, or a Majority German South America.

While you are allowed to change history, there are some limits. You can't just make it so Hitler was never born, that would completely ruin it for people who want to come in later on. So here is the limit through time that you can change history, 3600 BC - 1865 AD. From the Foundation of Sumer to some random year I chose. This will at least give most people time to create some interesting history overall, such as for say, Byzantium survives, an Alternate World War 1 happens, Byzantium is given the German treatment, and the Alternate World War 2 is a Greek Hitler.

So... how did this affect space travel? Do we need constant acceleration now? Are ion engines oddly powerful? Is there a giant ocean of plasma that connects the planets and systems? Are intergalactic trains now the only way to get around?

Also, we're being insanely pessimistic about technology and the number of habitable planets if the population of Andromeda and the MWG combined is only 3 trillion.

Not really pessimistic, as to say that Empire of Sol has a few very large populated systems, with small other livable planets put throughout the empire. As for getting around, the ability to go light speed and much faster has been achieved, and portals/wormholes are also an easy use for transportation.

STORY
"The Universe, the largest thing in well, everything. Or at least it was thought to be the largest, but now, there is proof that there is something bigger, or rather, one other thing creating a Doubleverse. Another Universe has been found by scientist in one of the far off space empires in some other galaxy far off. This universe seems to be on a collision course with ours and soon, the universes shall become one. While a lot of things is unknown about this universe, it has been showed that it has a different laws of physics then ours, and different elemental particles have been found pushing out of the other universe as we speak."

The universes collided about 100 years after this quote was made, the reason why it charged at our universe so fast is unknown, but what is known is that now, physics has been completely thrown out of whack, new types of planets and stars have been introduced, and empires that come from both universes have now started to form rivalries. The Universe they come from, named Tractus, has existed for a longer time then ours, scientists say. It is also believed that universes, like galaxies, are floating around in an ever expanding area called the Sphereoverse. A huge area that holds a bunch of smaller expanding objects known as universes.

When the two universes collided, trillions of things died. Galaxies near the universal border exploded by the sudden change of physics. The ones farther out where hit by the sudden wave of scientific change. It seems that universes each have there own sets of scientific rules, and when two collide, the physics in both universes change once they completely merge to form one. Galaxies that where on the other side of the universes, such as the milky way, where hit, but the hit barely did any damage, with only about 10 billion dying in that area.

It has now been ten thousand years since collision, and things still have not gone back to normal.

RACES
With the sudden change of physics that happened, races have been forced to adapt in such a short amount of time, which, luckily for most, happened at a decent speed. Species such as Humans, a type of ape like creatures, learned to adapt with the sudden influx of this new type of matter-like substance known as omnia. Omnia can be created by certain machines. Dark Omnia, a rare substance, has the ability to mutate living and non living things. That means that if Dark Omnia touches a planet, there is a chance for that planet to change and evolve like living things itself. This also applies for stars, moons, and any other non living thing.

Dark Omnia spread through this new Universe formed from the ashes of both, and majority of the races that lived in the Universe where changed by the New Dark Omnia, but the same applies for the species who lived in Tractus. With Dark Matter suddenly moving through there universe, they also changed, this is because Dark Matter, like Dark Omnia, has the ability to mutate races that have not been in contact with it before. This applies to the species that lived in Tractus.
