Alias:Star-Fire
Name:Koriand'r
Powers and Abilities: Tamaranean Physiology: Koriand'r is able to constantly absorb ultraviolet radiation and then the body converts it to energy. This ability seems to do so without limit. However in the rare chances that they are drained they are feeble, and generally sickly. They do not need it, but the body feels a dependency on its power.
Alien strength and Durability. While she is not of the Steel's blood, Koriand'r has little trouble playing dodgeball with firetrucks.
Immune to most bacteria and pathogens. Despite enjoying air, it does not seem to be a requirement, meaning unless the gas is caustic it has little effect on the Tamaraneans. The strength is based on many variables, the primary one being her emotions. Her general strength seems to be throwing around 16.5 tons of force. If trying she can lift 60 tons, (But being able to dead lift something is hardly viable in combat)
Unique to her heritage her body seems to be able to gain even more strength and endurance based upon her emotions, but she has no way to force this state, and it generally comes at the cost of her ability to see the consequences of her actions.
A more note-able skill is flight. Her speed is like most of her other statistics a variable, leaving out her outliers she can circle the globe in minutes.
Starbolts, A signature power of her Alias. She can convert stored solar energy to a raw form and use it as an explosive projectile, but these blast seem to be detrimental to the targets in more than just the initial explosion, making Starfire hesitant to use them.
-A notable related ability is her Maelstrom. AN ability she will not use unless there is no other way. Starfire for all extensive purposes becomes a Star. Exploding outwards with cataclysmic energy and heat. This ability is brief and leaves Starfire is left powerless, vulnerable, and exhausted. Taking some time to recover sleeping for days at a time afterwards. In conjunction with her ability to convert U.V rays, the Maelstrom seems to be significatly less effective on the earths surface, the atmosphere inhibits it from reaching its full potential, but still leaves Starfire just as weak.
Experienced. Starfire has been around the universe and forced into more situations that have made her a seasoned warrior. Able to adapt to her enemies on the fly. But this is most noteable when she works with allies, she only needs a general idea to understand plans and strategies.
Back story: A warrior princess from the world Tamaran, Koriand'r is no stranger to combat. Since youth she has been groomed for both political and physical conflict. Starting her life with a rival for her title, this acted as a huge spur to ensure that she was developing at a rate that would be worthy of a ruler. But like all Rivalries someone ends up a victor...However when your Rival is your flesh and blood your a little bit hesitant in insuring that its over.
An eventful life was ahead of her, one that for the most part, Koriand'r rejected. Leaving the managment of her world to acting politicians and generals she felt it was unfair that such things be forced upon her. She fled her responsibilities eventually ending up on earth, all though and adolescent her power and training made her a large enough factor that she was treated more or less as a political refugee, as earth wasn't exactly looking to inform a world that its young queen thought it a lovely spot to vacation.
Crime was bad, she had begun to grasp the concepts of justice as opposed to survival of the fittest. She began to feel obligated to aid the people of her resort. Eventually she was even given a name Starfire, a name she greatly enjoyed. Helping the humans became more and more a addiction, the bliss she felt fighting for a cause and her friends depending on her...Eventually this reminded Koriand'r of her responsibilities as queen.
No sooner had she had arrived, she left to take care of the situation that had no doubt formed while she was away........She returned to earth 3 years later, assumably to stay.
On the day of the attack: Off-World, vacation no less.
Since That Day: Starfire has been dealing with the internal guilt that she had likely been a factor in the extensive damage to the planet Earth. The normally relaxed aloof character seems constantly on edge, constantly on mission no matter how poorly planned or informed. Several times she has gotten herself killed going it alone taking out her guilt on situation time and time again.
Character Aim: How do you wish to portray this character. Starfire is to be portrayed as a bloodthirsty guardian. Working to appease her inner demons for her negligence, and to earn the right to stand with her friends. However unlike prior she attempts to conceal her feelings of guilt, by acting enraged at the actions that took place. Inside she is an emotional disaster, nightmares and depression have made her a hollow.
(For consideration, I wanted to leave her back story a tad bit more vague so I could discuss prior relations and things of that nature.)
