Justice League: The Other Side

| A Standalone Roleplay | & | A Stein Production |

It was the death seen around the world. Many say that --as cliche as it sounds-- time seemed to pause for just a moment as he fell. Reality set in when he didn’t rise. Reactions were as varied as a choked gasp to a slack jaw, wrought in disbelief. But the realization was the same and it dawned on all eventually:

‘The Man of Steel is no more.’

The White Martians had come from nowhere, but with fervor. Operating so precisely, the Earth seemed unaware until the enemy was at their door. Green Lantern was the first on the scene, quickly followed by Wonder Woman and Superman. Hawkgirl charged in, a personal army all her own. The Martian Manhunter arrived almost last, but attacked with an intensity that carried him to the center of the fray quickly. Batman soon came to aid, gunning for the Warship that was beginning to move for Earth.

The battle was quickly picked up by news stations as the first foot soldiers came in over the city of Los Angeles, but they were quickly met with the might over the Kin of the Seas himself. The second set appeared in the Nevada desert, over a small nondescript town. They seemed to be plagued by a blur of red and yellow that no camera was able to accurately catch. But the White Martians seemed to fall nonetheless. In the outer atmosphere, the heroes held their ground, but the slew continued. Batman steadily made progress through the Warship, hoping to end this quickly. The Manhunter relayed orders, moving the group as a cohesive unit.

But the White Martians pressed on. No one can say when the overwhelming started happening, nor when things started to get worse in the outside the atmosphere. Batman hadn’t been heard from for a few moments and the Lantern seemed more frustrated than usual. Superman became a bit more focused and the Manhunter found himself relaying orders continuously. Diana could feel the heat of an explosion as Hawkgirl brought down a smaller airship with the might only she could muster.

Aquaman held back the enemy with the power that his title held. And the Flash struck hard, without mercy and invisible to the naked eye. His flurry of legs and arms created a dust storm that he almost missed it. He didn’t know what had made him look up, but he did. His eyes could see fire, an object falling to Earth, a meteorite? An attack? It was small, but it didn’t stop burning. Soon there was a small, almost indistinctible flash of light. It hit the burning object with such force that a seismic boom was the result.

“Flash! It’s him, it’s Kal!”

J’onn! What did that mean? What was he--

“Superman is down!”

Barry didn’t need anything else, his mind put it together almost before J’onn spoke, and he was gone. He pushed himself, willed himself to move faster than he ever had before. Diana flew after Kal, a determination to reach him. At that moment, something else could be seen. Much larger, much more terrifying. The warship descended into the earth, a blaze of fire, smoke and debris like a cloud of gnats.

Things had officially gotten worse.

***

Though the battle was eventually won, there was little joy among many. A sense of hopelessness took its place for a time. What else could happen? The Flash was gone, taken somehow. Superman was no more. Batman seemed to be on Death’s door. Green Lantern had disappeared without a trace. The Earth seemed vulnerable.

It’ll be one year tomorrow since Kal-El left the world. Bruce has worked tirelessly alongside the Manhunter to make sure nothing of the sort ever befalls the Earth again. With salvaged alien tech, his mettle, J’onn and Shayera’s knowledge and others, they were able to build it.

The Watchtower. A sentinel floating over the Earth where Earth’s mightiest would keep a watchful eye over her. They’ve become wise, knowing that another attack might yield an even worse fate, and they couldn’t risk that. All of Earth’s heroes would need to stand together.

Will you answer the call?

The Earth and Her Heroes:

The presence of the superpowered individuals has settled over the world over the past 10 years. Reactions varied originally, and to this day, there are still those that aren’t comfortable with “aliens” being in our atmosphere. But the level-headed and forward thinkers see the benefit in it. Of course, the world governments has tried to get its hands in the superheros, reigning them in and such, but to little avail.

The Man of Steel, up until that day, had served as the poster boy for the heroes and Earth’s mightiest warrior. Heroes have worked together and set up impromptu groups, but they’ve been transient in nature. Nothing has ever stuck because many of the heroes never seemed to be protecting the world, just their area.

But, things are changing...

What We Know So Far:

The Man of Steel has been confirmed dead. His assailant is unknown, but sources have ruled out a simple White Martian. Multiple sources confirm a green beam of light, assumed to be kryptonite, striking Kal-El at the time of his death.

Heroes across the globe are now becoming more world-oriented. They’ve started to realize that they can’t operate as an island when the entirety of the Earth is statke. Crime is being fought with an unheard of fervor.

The Dark Knight is still recuperating from a spinal injury, Diana has lost her memory of that day for the most part, The Flash is nowhere to be found, believed to have been taken. The Green Lantern is under suspicion but is nowhere to be found and any information concerning his whereabouts is greatly appreciated.

The alien invasion was won, and casualties were small in the area of civilians. Since then, no other threats have been seen or heard of, but a task force is being put together as a safeguard.

OOC Rules:

1.) No arguments with the GM or anyone else for that matter. This is a place of respect and all issues should be taken up with myself or the person involved on a private channel.

-The Rest: Coming VERY soon-

IC Rules:

1.) I expect at least 2 paragraphs minimum with every post (though you should really shoot for 3). There is no limit on how long a post can be, but it should all be relevant. A 20 paragraph post is nice, but if it doesn't contribute to the story or character, then I don't want to read it.

2.) As of now, 1 post per week is the minimum requirement to continue on in the RP. Being able to follow this rule will be taken into account when I open up the option of having a second character.

3.) Spelling and grammar should ALWAYS be checked before posting. Everyone should be able to understand posts.

4.) The generally accepted Guild-standard IC rules apply in this RP as well.

-Coming VERY soon-

Character Skeleton:

Alias:

Name:

Powers and Abilities: This is also the area where you mention weaknesses and shortcomings of a similar nature.

Back story:

On the day of the attack: What was your character doing?

Since That Day: Since the attack, what has you character been doing? Let's shoot for creativity. I don't want to see a slew of "he's been training hard since that day". That's boring.

Character Aim: How do you wish to portray this character?

Character Creation Rules:

1.) You are limited to Canon DC heroes. No exceptions.

2.) The histories of your hero can be tweaked and altered, within reason. I’m not setting a specific boundary, because I trust your creative ability and sense of realism. Changes to the character shouldn’t be drastic. So, if Batman’s parents never died, you better have a damn good reason as to why Bruce Wayne still became the Caped Crusader.

3.) For now, I’m limiting everyone to one character. After we get established and settled in to the groove, that limit will increase. The plot will work to where heroes can always join the fight, for the most part.

4.) I would prefer it if you didn’t not make another DC hero an NPC, as that would make them off limits to another person. If it’s a much lesser known hero, then I might be a bit more lenient.

Alias(es): Superboy, Conner Kent.

Name: Kon-El

Power and Abilities:

Tactile Telekinesis: A Telekinetic force field that surrounds his body as a protective shield and allows him to simulate Superman-level speed, strength, flight and invulnerability. The tactile TK field also lets Superboy break free of an opponent's grip by pushing the field outward to force the opponent away. Other creative uses include rendering an opponent immobile by extending the TK field as long as they are both standing on the same ground.

  • Telekinetic Super Human Strength: His full strength is undetermined at this time. He, like Superman seems to be able to lift almost anything he can conceive of. Objects lifted with his telekinetic strength do not crumble under their own weight or internal stresses. As his willpower and concentration improve, so will his super strength increase. This does not truly count as super strength in the traditional sense, since Superboy is unable to directly affect objects surrounded by protective energy fields with his power. Thus, is unable to lift any objects subjected to the aforementioned circumstance. To date, the heaviest object he has been able to lift was an U.S. Navy Destroyer-Class battleship. Putting his current upper limits at roughly 58,000 tons.

  • Telekinetic Flight: Superboy is able to fly at high supersonic speeds using a reflexive action of his telekinesis, literally dragging himself through the sky. His concentration is required to maintain great speeds. However, as with his strength, his speed will also develop naturally, Superboy is capable of reaching speeds of roughly Mach 5 (1 mile per second), but the limit of his speed currently is untested.

  • Telekinetic Force-Field: By creating a field around his body, he is able to resist or reduce injury from non-energy based attacks by causing the object to be deflected from his personal force field. Bullets and shrapnel are easily deflected. However, this field does not repel gases. Nor does it repel energy based attacks to the same degree, making him more vulnerable to them. His skill in deflecting energy attacks, like his other abilities, will improve in relation to his proficiency with telekinesis.

  • Telekinetic Force Blasts: Superboy can project bursts of raw psionic energy bolts. He mostly projects the energy from his hands but could also project them from anywhere since his Tactile TK field permeates from his entire body. The blasts he emits have concussive force equivalent to 1,000 pounds of TNT, but it is speculated that as he grows more experienced this force amount could grow and change along with him.

Kryptonian Physiology: Under the effects of a "yellow" sun, The Kon-El, being parts Kryptonian possesses the following power set:

  • Solar Energy Absorption: Under optimal conditions, this is the main source of Superboy's super powers as they are contingent upon exposure to solar radiation from a yellow sun star system. Like all Kryptonians, his biological make up includes a number of organs which lack analogues in humans and whose functions are unknown. It is believed that between one or more of these and his bio-cellular matrix, "yellow" solar energy is stored for later use. This allows for the use of these powers to fade when yellow solar radiation is not available instead of immediate failure.

  • Super-Hearing: Kryptonian hearing is sensitive enough to hear any sound at any volume or pitch. With skill, practice, and concentration, they can block out ambient sounds to focus on a specific source or frequency. While Kon-El is capable of such feats, as well as able to pick out a single voice in an entire city. He cannot identify a person by their heartbeat like Superman, his predecessor, could.

  • Enhanced Vision: Kryptonian vision processes the entire electromagnetic spectrum as well as allowing vast control over selective perception and focus.
Through this umbrella ability, Superboy as access to the following:

--Telescopic Vision: This is the ability to see something at a great distance, without violating the laws of physics. Though limited, the exact extent of the ability is undetermined. In function, it is similar to the zoom lens on a camera.

--X-Ray Vision: This is the ability to see through any volume of matter except lead. Kryptonians can see things behind a solid, opaque object as if it were not there. They can focus this ability to "peel back" layers of an object, allowing hidden image or inner workings to be observed. The exact type of energy perceived - such as x-rays, cosmic rays, or some other energy invisible to normal humans - is unclear. This ability perceives an ambient energy source though, it does not involve the eye projecting a concentrated, possibly toxic, beam to be reflected back from objects.

--Microscopic Vision: This is the ability to see extremely small objects and images down to the atomic level.

--Infrared Vision: Kryptonians can see with better acuity in darkness, and to a degree in total darkness.

Superhuman Agility: Kryptonians have perfect balance and equilibrium to a point far in excess to that of a normal human being in Earth's gravity and atmosphere.

Superhuman Reflexes: Like all Kryptonians exposed to 'yellow sun rays', Kon-El possesses reflexes superior to that of even the most talented human athletes.

Superhuman Stamina: Kryptonians have the ability to maintain continuous strenuous physical action for an indefinite period of time. In theory they have unlimited stamina as their enhanced nourishment is produced from the yellow solar energy their cells process, which also provides the majority of the power for their superhuman abilities. However, their base physical structures do need to process food and they have a psychological need to eat and drink just as Earth humans do. They also require sleep on occasion so that they can dream. They can also hold their breath for an indefinite period of time.

Weaknesses:

Vulnerability to Red Sun Radiation: The damage from the Red Sun seems to be less effective on him than the full Kryptonians.

Yellow Sun Processing: Because Superboy is capable of absorbing less solar energy at any one time than Superman, Superboy is unable to process as much yellow sun energy as Superman can. As a result, overtaxing his powers could spell his death, as his body would literally begin to feed on itself, unable to absorb solar energy fast enough to restore itself.

Rage Induced Rampages: Because if his easily angered nature, Kon-El is prone to becoming uncontrollably angry. Due to the nature of his telekineticpowers, when in this state, he is unable to control his abilities and opperates almost purely via instinct. This often causes him to put himself and others into dangerous situations, as well as create them.

Vulnerability to Kryptonite: Although it is still effective against him to an deadly degree, Conner seems to possess a slight resistance to Kryptonite due to his half human heritage. While other Kryptonians would immediately suffer the full side effects of being in its proximity, Kon-El undergoes more of an process before-hand. Symptoms include; Dizziness, physical weakness/instability, tightening of chest/burning sensation in lungs, shortness of breath, Anxiety, Sweating, Nausea, and loss of all superhuman abilities and functions. Though intensity varies depending on the amount kryptonite in the current vicinity, they always occur in the above order. While this resistance makes it possible for Superboy to still use his abilities within the first few seconds of exposure, his symptoms cause him to experience greater pain and discomfort while under the influence of Kryptonite, in comparison to pure blooded Kryptonians. Prolonged exposure to kryptonite can sometimes cause lingering effects, with the exception of his powers, which return once he is beyond the kryptonite's range..

Vulnerability to Magic: Unlike pure Kryptonians, whom appear to retain their superhuman constitution against magic despite being vulnerable to its effects, Superboy does not. When faced with magic, his body is effected just as an human's would be. Hence, significant blunt force from a magical spell (i.e. a magic hammer) could cause his bones to break, just and slashing and piercing spells would be able to break his skin. Potentially, this could cause him to be easily disabled or killed by magic wielding foes. Arguably making his vulnerability to magic his most significant weakness.

Back story: The thirteenth clone experimentally grafted with DNA from both Lex Luthor and Superman, 'Superboy' was the first fully functioning clone produced by Project Kr. Created by Project Cadmus to replace Superman in the month's following his death, he was artificially aged to late-teens and implanted with the necessary scholarly knowledge of someone his biological age. However, before the experiment could be completed, and he could be aged to full adulthood, the scientists claimed they found a flaw in his design and sought to have him destroyed. Unbeknownst to them, Superboy had overheard this. In his ensuing rage, his telekinetic abilities had awakened and he managed to escape confinement. Half of the lab was destroyed before he at last broke free into the world.

Unable to control his abilities, and having never been implanted with 'proper fail-safes.' A panicked Superboy continued on an rampage that ended with him destroying the Hobsneck Bridge. One of the major bridges into Metropolis. It was only after he had returned to his senses and subsequently saved the lives he had endangered--pulling many people from cars that fell into the river, that he was confronted by the Guardian. Who told him to be careful--and mindful that Cadmus will not simply forget him.

Unfortunately, the Guardian then disappears before he can question him. Only to be replaced by the Martian Manhunter, who had only just arrived at the scene. Immediately fearing the worst, he wasted no time in apprehending the teen. Whom he transported to the Watchtower and placed within an Kryptonite-laced cell of Batman's manufacturing.

While many of the other heroes first believed that he was either a secret child of Kal-El's or an Kryptonian in his own right, It was also Batman who eventually proved his claims at being a clone. However, despite his compliance, the collective still considered him too much of an potential threat to openly work along aside them. Thus, it was only after the emergence of 'Project Match'. Cadmus' second attempt at an functioning Kryptonian clone, that Superboy finally gained their trust.

Ordered by Cadmus to hunt down and retrieve Superboy, Match drew him out by taking Martha Kent hostage within her home in Kansas. Having gained access to superman's memories via the cloning process. At which point he then burned his challenge, and warning, into the Kent's fields. It was Batman who brought the scene to SB's attention.

Although he had been accompanied by Stargirl. It was Superboy who single-handedly defeated his mirroring, albeit deranged counterpart, after the clone rendered Stargirl unconscious. While he had struggled to defend himself against the superior might of 'Match', Superboy had managed to hold him back long enough for Match to over-exert himself. Causing his body to feed on itself and begin to deteriorate. Much to his benefit, Stargirl had come-to just in time to witness Superboy turn the tide on Match. As well as the clone's self wrought demise. The duo then destroyed Cadmus' cloning facility after its coordinates were relayed by the Bat.

Following that, Martha had an heart to heart with Superboy, where she both adopted him into the Kent family and gave him her blessing. Hence, he then took to calling himself Connor. Preferring it over his public label as 'Superboy', and was at last given formal permission to aid other heroes on delegated tasks. It was also at this time that he created his current outfit. Unknown to anyone, Match had infected Superboy with a virus that began to break down his DNA. It did not manifest itself at first, but remained dormant for weeks, until his collapse during his intervention with a bank robbery made it all too clear that he was sick.

When S.T.A.R. Labs couldn't correct his condition, Superboy is rushed back to Project Cadmus. Cadmus is able to slow the condition, but not halt it. However, they offer a solution, by explaining that he needs a DNA donor to "re-zip" the breakdown of his own DNA. An unnamed employee then offered to be a part of the procedure to help restructure his DNA, and cure him of the virus. The plan succeeded, although with a side effect. Superboy was locked at the age of eighteen.

Crushed at the news, having always dreamt of one day assuming the role of Superman. Superboy becomes depressed as a result. In an attempt make himself feel closer to achieving his now unattainable goal, Conner then gave himself the Kryptonian name 'Kon-El'. Recently, his depression has caused him to became extremely irritable and short-tempered.

On the day of the attack: Had yet to have been "born".

Since That Day: Since his birth following the attack, Superboy has been closely working with the Batman in an attempt to learn more about Superman, and Kryptonian culture as a whole. While he continued to patrol Metropolis, feeling obligatated to do so, Kon-El has spent most of his time searching for Superman's fortress of solitude. As well as any leads that might illuminate to him his people's past. Hoping that said knowledge might help give his existence additional purpose.

Character Aim: My goal is to have Superboy struggle with self identity. He'd feel constantly pressured, as well as driven by his will to live up to the expectations the world had for Superman. All while attempting to prove that he is his own person, and not just a clone of the Man of Steel. As things progress, he would grow to in maturity, and eventually come to truly understand the responsibilities that come with his abilities.

- Place Holder -

Alias: Green Arrow.

Name: Oliver Queen.

Powers and Abilities:
Acrobatics:He has displayed on many occasions that he is an expert in acrobatics, and often uses this skill while evading enemy fire.

Archery: Since he was able to pick a bow and arrow, he was one of the best during his childhood, but he didn't realize that until he was an adult to use it for good. He claims to be able to shoot 29 arrows per minute, has a wide-variety of trick arrows, ranging from bola arrows to time-bomb arrows to his infamous boxing-glove arrow. And also has the ability to shoot an arrow down the barrel of a gun and pierce a drop of water as it leaves a tap, and shoot almost any part of the human body.

Aviation: He used to own and fly his own airplane while a teenager, but he still has some skill in flying different types of planes.

Cooking: His chili is one of the spiciest entities known to the general superheroic community, and is rarely enjoyed by anyone other than Batman and Ollie himself.

Martial Arts: He is proficient in several forms of hand-to-hand combat, including Judo, Kickboxing and Karate. Proclaimed as a martial arts master, he has shown the ability to take on seven people at once. He spent several months dedicated to making himself a better fighter and trained with many of the world's finest martial arts teachers and even went through training from Natas, the same person who trained Deathstroke.

Hunting: Archery is by far Oliver's preferred method of hunting, however the ability to hunt comes from years of training, patience and survival. He is proficient enough in hunting to pursue a cougar without it ever noticing.

Politics: Ollie ran for office and became the mayor of Star City for a significant amount of time. He has since resigned from being the mayor and has continued to lean on political issues from time to time.

Swordsmanship: Ollie is also very proficient with a sword, though it is not his preferred weapon of choice. He has beaten Jason Todd in a sword-fight and has deflected an incoming arrow with the sword he carries.

-Weakness
Human: He is a normal human who will make mistakes and can die out in the battlefield.

Back story: As a young child Oliver idolized his hero Robin Hood and was said to be a natural archer, frequently practicing with his bow and arrows. He was mildly traumatized the first time he accidentally killed an animal, but when his mother and father were mauled by lions in a tragic safari accident his hesitation to shoot cost them their lives.
Afterwards he was raised by his uncle and eventually inherited the family fortune and business. Queen grew into a rich, thrill-seeking, and drunken playboy with no real sense of responsibility or direction in his life. Everything changed when he fell off his boat in the middle of the ocean and washed ashore on the remote isolated Starfish Island, clutching a bow – a memento from a Robin Hood movie – which he had used to keep himself afloat, where he was completely stranded. During this time spent without food or shelter Queen developed his skills as a hunter to survive and gained mastery over his bow. Having previously taken everything in his life for granted, this experience taught him self-reliance and made him into a man. His second test of new character was the discovery of drug smugglers on the island run by the ruthless international crime lord China White. Using his new skills, he attacked and destroyed their heroin operation, then delivered them to the authorities before returning home. Realizing that he had found his destiny, he chose to use his abilities and resources as a crime-fighter. With a nickname coined by the press, he made it his mission to protect Star City. He also owns Queen Industries for his father, Robert Queen. He joined the League after he rescued them from Xandor and was voted as the sixth member of the League, due to his use of Queen Enterprises to secretly fund the League.

On the day of the attack: He was protecting Star City for the attack, along with a few heroes. Then he got word of Superman's death, he couldn't believe it.

Since That Day: He has helped to find both Green Lantern and Flash on the day after the attack on Earth with the other members of the League until they gave up on searching them. Green Arrow was the only one left and some members thought that he was crazy, but he did this in order to find his friends. He later gave up as well. He is still in the League and will help out the League though his company.

Character Aim: The aim for Green Arrow is that he still remembers Green Lantern and Flash and he misses them deeply. But, he will still be loyal to the League and will defend Earth if needed to.

Yeah, I totally knew this was going to happen. Anyway, I like the weaknesses, but tone down the TK areas a bit. Namely, the strength and blasts portion. Other than that, good job on checking him in many areas.

Editted the force blasts. Reduced it to a Kiloton as opposed to five. However, let me know if you still wish it lowered.

Strength-wise though, what would be an acceptable range in your mind? It's hard to gauge his strength without knowing how powerful the late Superman was. I mean its agreed that most Kryptonians are generally able to lift about 100,000 tons. So with his limits being (lets say 60,000 for argument sake) he'd be at almost half expected strength. That said, i'd hoped to have Superboy's strength be about 60 percent of Superman's average, at full exertion.

Alias:Star-Fire

Name:Koriand'r

Powers and Abilities:

Tamaranean Physiology: Koriand'r is able to constantly absorb ultraviolet radiation and then the body converts it to energy. This ability seems to do so without limit. However in the rare chances that they are drained they are feeble, and generally sickly. They do not need it, but the body feels a dependency on its power.

Alien strength and Durability. While she is not of the Steel's blood, Koriand'r has little trouble playing dodgeball with firetrucks.
Immune to most bacteria and pathogens. Despite enjoying air, it does not seem to be a requirement, meaning unless the gas is caustic it has little effect on the Tamaraneans. The strength is based on many variables, the primary one being her emotions. Her general strength seems to be throwing around 16.5 tons of force. If trying she can lift 60 tons, (But being able to dead lift something is hardly viable in combat)
Unique to her heritage her body seems to be able to gain even more strength and endurance based upon her emotions, but she has no way to force this state, and it generally comes at the cost of her ability to see the consequences of her actions.

A more note-able skill is flight. Her speed is like most of her other statistics a variable, leaving out her outliers she can circle the globe in minutes.

Starbolts, A signature power of her Alias. She can convert stored solar energy to a raw form and use it as an explosive projectile, but these blast seem to be detrimental to the targets in more than just the initial explosion, making Starfire hesitant to use them.
-A notable related ability is her Maelstrom. AN ability she will not use unless there is no other way. Starfire for all extensive purposes becomes a Star. Exploding outwards with cataclysmic energy and heat. This ability is brief and leaves Starfire is left powerless, vulnerable, and exhausted. Taking some time to recover sleeping for days at a time afterwards. In conjunction with her ability to convert U.V rays, the Maelstrom seems to be significatly less effective on the earths surface, the atmosphere inhibits it from reaching its full potential, but still leaves Starfire just as weak.

Experienced. Starfire has been around the universe and forced into more situations that have made her a seasoned warrior. Able to adapt to her enemies on the fly. But this is most noteable when she works with allies, she only needs a general idea to understand plans and strategies.

Back story: A warrior princess from the world Tamaran, Koriand'r is no stranger to combat. Since youth she has been groomed for both political and physical conflict. Starting her life with a rival for her title, this acted as a huge spur to ensure that she was developing at a rate that would be worthy of a ruler. But like all Rivalries someone ends up a victor...However when your Rival is your flesh and blood your a little bit hesitant in insuring that its over.

An eventful life was ahead of her, one that for the most part, Koriand'r rejected. Leaving the managment of her world to acting politicians and generals she felt it was unfair that such things be forced upon her. She fled her responsibilities eventually ending up on earth, all though and adolescent her power and training made her a large enough factor that she was treated more or less as a political refugee, as earth wasn't exactly looking to inform a world that its young queen thought it a lovely spot to vacation.

Crime was bad, she had begun to grasp the concepts of justice as opposed to survival of the fittest. She began to feel obligated to aid the people of her resort. Eventually she was even given a name Starfire, a name she greatly enjoyed. Helping the humans became more and more a addiction, the bliss she felt fighting for a cause and her friends depending on her...Eventually this reminded Koriand'r of her responsibilities as queen.

No sooner had she had arrived, she left to take care of the situation that had no doubt formed while she was away........She returned to earth 3 years later, assumably to stay.

On the day of the attack: Off-World, vacation no less.

Since That Day: Starfire has been dealing with the internal guilt that she had likely been a factor in the extensive damage to the planet Earth. The normally relaxed aloof character seems constantly on edge, constantly on mission no matter how poorly planned or informed. Several times she has gotten herself killed going it alone taking out her guilt on situation time and time again.

Character Aim: How do you wish to portray this character. Starfire is to be portrayed as a bloodthirsty guardian. Working to appease her inner demons for her negligence, and to earn the right to stand with her friends. However unlike prior she attempts to conceal her feelings of guilt, by acting enraged at the actions that took place. Inside she is an emotional disaster, nightmares and depression have made her a hollow.

(For consideration, I wanted to leave her back story a tad bit more vague so I could discuss prior relations and things of that nature.)

Makes me rethink how much I'd probably have to..."Nerf" Captain Atom. He's so silly OP.
