It's hard to gauge his strength without knowing how powerful the late Superman was. I mean its agreed that most Kryptonians are generally able to lift about 100,000 tons. So with his limits being (lets say 60,000 for argument sake) he'd be at almost half expected strength. That said, i'd hoped to have Superboy's strength be about 60 percent of Superman's average, at full exertion.

My bad, I definitely saw this and meant to answer this. Anyway, well I actually think having his max be 60,000 is a pretty good level. 60% of Kal's power sounds pretty good.

Hey everyone, just an announcement:

I haven't forgotten about this by ANY stretch of the imagination at all. I apologize that I haven't been on much, but I've been on Spring Break and sobriety is really only a suggestion at this point, so yeah there's that.

I'll be out most of the day today, but you all have my word that I'll be on tonight to give all the (mainly) finished CS's a once over and hopefully, I can even whip up an IC by the afternoon tomorrow!

Oh, and I guess I should put a hold down on my two characters.

Most of it is pretty good. There are a couple things with the Back story, but nothing too drastic. Accepted, but I'd like you to play up the fact that he isn't technically a full Kryptonian a bit more, even if you can only do so in the weaknesses section.

Powers and Abilities:
Atlantean psychology: because of his Atlantean biology, Garth is able to breath both on land and underwater. his psychology also grants him the ability to swim at supersonic speeds and move under water as easy as it is for a human to move outside of water, and he can dive down to depths that would completely crush an ordinary human being. because of this, Garth's muscles' strength and skin density are much higher than a human's.

Superhuman Strength: Garth is strong enough to throw a tank with not too much difficulty, and can use his super strong muscles to leap over two miles in a single jump.

Superhuman Durability: Garth's high skin density allows him to take a good amount of powerful hits and keep fighting.

Hydrokinesis: Garth is very skilled in Atlantean sorcery and is able to manipulate water and can even control its temperature making it ether boiling hot or freezing cold.

Sea Life Communication: Garth is able to communicate with all forms of marine life, and influence them to do his will.

Back story: Tempest was initially known as Aqualad, Aquaman's teenage partner, and like many other such "kid sidekicks" popular in the Silver Age, his powers originally varied very little from his mentor. Aqualad was a founding member of the Teen Titans.

Garth's origin is similar to that of his mentor. He is an amphibious humanoid who was left to die because of ancient Atlantean superstition and prophecy. Tempest is the prince and heir to the throne of the Idyllists, a colony of Atlanteans who settled in the Hidden Valley 4,000 years ago. There, nestled in the capital city of Shayeris (formerly Crastinus), the pacifist Idyllists became rabid builders and collectors, architects and artisans, and eschewed physical violence at all costs. The Idyllists were also practitioners of magic and kept an extensive library of mystical texts and scrolls.

Approximately four decades ago, King Thar and his wife Queen Berra became the reigning monarchs of Shayeris, the capital of The Hidden Valley of colonies. Thar had inherited the throne and access to ancient magical energies that his brother Zath, a powerful magician in his own right, believed to be rightfully his. Zath practiced dark sorcery and necromancy and was eventually banished from the Hidden Valley. His body transformed into a disgusting half-human form, Zath, renamed Slizzath, returned to Shayeris twenty years later with an army of undead. He planned to invade the Hidden Valley and transform it into a necropolis he would rule.

King Thar knew of this and assembled an armory of robots and weapons to stop his demented brother. The Idyllist radicals killed him and banished his pregnant wife Berra back to Atlantis. Before Thar was killed, however, he was able to cast a magical spell that trapped Slizzath in an other-dimensional prison. Unfortunately, this spell was linked to a magical ritual which would give his offspring access to incredible mystical powers and accessing that ritual would give Slizzath the energy required to break free of his prison. So word was sent out that all babies born with purple eyes, the Idyllist mark of power, should be banished and killed, lest they try to perform the access ritual and accidentally free Slizzath and his undead army. The Idyllists also claimed that Thar had gone insane to hide their complex, fearful plan.

In Poseidonis, one of the domed cities of Atlantis, Queen Berra gave birth to her baby boy, Garth, who was born with purple eyes. The Atlanteans claimed Garth had been born genetically inferior and sentenced him to death on a seabed leagues away from Atlantis. It has been speculated that with the assistance of Aquaman's father, the Atlantean sorcerer Atlan, the young Garth not only survived but thrived, learning language and survival rituals to keep the young boy from going feral as he scavenged his way through the undersea.

Eventually, Garth met and rescued Aquaman and became his sidekick, Aqualad. As Aqualad, Garth was given to expressions such as "Great Guppies!", "Suffering Sardines," "Leapin' Lionfish!", and "Suffering Snails!" Together Garth and Aquaman shared many adventures.[1] Once Aquaman married his lady love, Mera, and had his own son, adventuring with Aqualad became less important to him, leaving Garth feeling unsure of his role in his mentor's life. After a while of being on his own for some time, Garth decided to take the name Tempest and become a hero in his own right.

On the day of the attack: Garth was aiding Aquaman in the fight against the aliens during their attack on Los Angles.

Powers and Abilities:

William's been given the power of the ancient wizard Shazam. Allowing him to call on that power when he call out the name of the Wizard, transforming him into the Captain Marvel. Transforming into Captain Marvel puts him back in his prime, appearance-wise. When not transformed, William's just a regular human.

Strength Of Hercules:
Captain Marvel is able to lift over 80,000 Ton at his limit.

Courage Of Achilles:
The Captain is all but invincible. Nothing short of an Anti-Tank missile hurts him.

Stamina Of Atlas:
The Captain can withstand and survive most types of extreme physical assaults, and heal from them. Additionally, he does not need to eat, sleep, or breathe, and can survive unaided in space.

Speed Of Mercury:
Captain Marvel is able to fly and move faster than the naked eye can trace. Approximately thrice the speed of sound.

Wisdom Of Solomon:
While transformed, William is gifted with photographic memory, quicker cognitive capabilities and a natural understanding of geometry and other practical applications of mathematics and physics.

Might Of Zeus:
The Captain is able to fire magical lightning bolts, packing similar power to that of his physical attacks. The might of Zeus is also what fuels the lightning that he calls down to transform him. Should the Captain want to, he can avoid the lightning and using it to harm an opponent.

Backstory:
Billy's tale is a long one. Starting in the middle of the previous century. He was born into the working class. His mother worked at the phone company, connecting calls, and his father was a mechanic at a auto shop. They grew up in Colorado. His childhood was filled with fond memories, he had a group of friends that he would always hang out with. He, like most kids did get into trouble once in a while. He played football in high-school, and set a state record that lasted for seven years. He also had a amateaur boxing reputation. He joined the army at age 20 and was deployed for fighting in Vietnam years later. however, these are things that he doesn't talk about, and he doesn't really remember his time in the army very well. By this point, he had already married his high-school sweetheart. Henrietta Batson, formerly Applegreen.

He returned home after getting shot in the shoulder in the war, with a honorable discharge and a purple heart. The wound made it impossible for him to threw anymore football, and following the war, his life steadying began going downwards. Like his father, he became a mechanic at a auto-shop. He have raised two kids along with his wife, Anthony and Bella. But aside a few corns of gold in his life, William's spent his life in mediocrity. He's never fulfilled his dreams, and he's always felt like his life have been lackluster.

The last decade's been spent going in and out of the hospital, taking six pills in the morning, and five before going to bed. Pain in his back and hands. His eyesight and hearing getting worse. And that's not even mentioning the acid reflex that stops him from enjoying his favorite food, the cheeseburger. A year ago, he had a serious heart-attack, and just minutes after he was put into the hospital, the attack of the white martians happened. William saw in live TV how the man of steel fell from the sky.

Hope on earth diminished that day. People's thoughts became darker, and crime was on the rise.

Two months ago, everything changed for Billy. His physical state had been getting worse, and on his way back from his regular check-up at the doctor, he saw something, walking down the streets of Central City. A man masked with cloth over his face, wielding a crowbar assaulting another man. William engaged the man, punching him in the face. However, his old body wasn't strong enough. A crowbar to the face knocked him to the ground, but the old man pushed up again, and lunged at the crook. An upper-cut sent the crook to the ground, and with his tail between his legs, he ran away.

The strain William had put on his body exhausted him, and a pain in his chest, back and arms, that he knew so clearly was back. He collapsed in the alley.. Dying.

The Ambulance came, and Billy can only remember fragments of what happened. But during the time, he was sent to a light. What he thought could be the afterlife. He arrived at a big palace. He walked the halls, thinking that he was done for, when he saw a man with long hair and rough beard of the shiniest silver color.

“Am I dead?” William asked, and the larger figure nodded. “ You are. And I know who you think I am. But I'm not. My name is Shazam, and I'm a master of the mystical arts. A wizard. I saw your last valiant act in your life as a mortal. I've offered you this once before, long ago, but this time, the world is in graver danger. I want you to go back to life, and be my champion. Fight the forces of evil in my name. Will you choose to do so, William Batson?”

And in the next moment, a lightning bolt hit the ambulance William was in, and the man came back to life. Now gifted with a word of power.

Shazam.

Weakness:
Billy, despite his age, and his experience is sometimes just as hot headed as his usual teenage counterpart. He think his power is absolute, that he is unbeatable. He lacks training that many other heroes do have, making him subpar in terms of skill. William is, when not transformed into Captain Marvel, just a human. And should William die, so would the Captain.

Character Aim:
Ehe. I think that's pretty self-explaining. But the short version is that I want to make a age-wise reverse Billy Batson. Someone who gets all the hot-headedness and sense of right from being on the other side of the tables of age. He's used to being a fragile old man, and now he's given the chance to become one of the most powerful beings on the planet. It's not a small adjustment. He's gonna have a darker side to him, though, like an estranged father.
