I think the number of people we have now is good. Once everyone who's here has their characters finished and ready to go we may as well get started. If you want to accept more people later then you can.

Takemi Hashimoto

Name: Hashimoto, Takemi (橋元赳美)
Nickname(s): None
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Appearance: Takemi is around 165 cm tall and has a lean, wiry build. She has shoulder-length, black hair that’s almost always tied up into a ponytail.

Shikigami: None
Sigil and Location: None
Alignment and Fighting Style: Yin fire aligned, Takemi relies on her athletic speed in fights. Her physical strength is somewhat above average, although not exemplary. Using a baseball bat as a club serves her well enough, and she knows how to throw a good punch.
Catalyst: a necklace with a simple pendant.
Team:

History: Takemi’s been able to see spirits from a young age, or at least, she can sense them around. She’s sensitive to the energy they give off, whether it’s a soul lingering on the school roof, or the malaise that infests just about every subway station she’s been in. Figuring out what they all are is the main reason she took an interest in the occult. Collecting and searching out rumours about local occult phenomenon to see whether or not they’re true leads her to interesting information; she has contacts who like to do the same thing around the city and in nearby towns. According to Takemi, there’s not a single scrap of gossip or rumours within the school that doesn’t escape her knowledge: sooner or later, it all reaches her. Unfortunately, this includes the things that people say about her behind her back. She’s well aware of the people who think of her as a creepy idiot.

Personality: Bright and cheerful, Takemi is an optimistic person and is unashamedly enthusiastic about things that interest her. She loves the occult and will talk to anyone who’ll listen to her about the latest thing she’d been reading about. In terms of schooling, she’s fairly studious, even if she finds some subjects boring, and she maintains good grades.

When it comes to personal problems, she prefers to keep quiet about them, even to close friends. Mostly this is because she tends to downplay them or that the people she’s talking to have worse problems going on in their lives, so her complaining to them would make her sound whiny. Why would she complain about the small, petty things that annoy her to someone being bullied on the daily?

Other: A member of the girl’s baseball team at school, she is known for having good technical skill at bat and for her speed in the right field. She's somewhat claustrophobic and horribly afraid of needles. She's able to manage these fears in some capacity but is really embarrassed about both of them, especially the fear of needles. She tries her best to not let people find out about them because of that embarrassment.

I'm very tired, but I want to at least get y'all a WIP of what I'm working on so I can get some early feedback. He turned out a lot differently than my initial ideas that had been rolling around in my head, lol. I still might Digimon AU one of my other OCs, not sure if I'll go with Takemi or Yuzuki. I'd really like to do some writing with Yuzuki since I haven't really other than an rp that died right away on another site and I don't think I got her really "right" then. Takemi was just a lot of fun for me to write last time I had an rp with her. (but I need to work with Hotaru too. looking back at the single rp post I got to make for her last I didn't get her voice the way I wanted to at all) lol Anyway enough rambling. Here's what I've got for this dude.

Appearance: Height: 5’7”, with a well-built, muscular physique. He keeps his hair short and his clothes well kept. He doesn’t let himself slide even when it comes to casual clothes.

Skills: He’s a second year on his school’s judo team and reasonably skilled. He works out to keep himself fit and strong for the club.

Strengths:
1) Good physical strength and endurance in terms of, for example, lifting and moving heaving objects and carrying them for reasonable distances
2) He doesn’t let people get away with things, and will actively mediate disputes and won’t tolerate horsing around when there’s work to be done or practice to be had.

Weaknesses:
1) While he has good physical endurance, his cardio hasn’t been trained as diligently and while he can manage sprints and similar, he can’t keep up speed for any distance
2) He has trouble relaxing around other people, and ends up being a bit of a stick in the mud.

History: He’s had a fairly normal upbringing, with normal, if strict parents and an older sibling. He always thought that the strictness he was brought up with was what everyone was raised with. It surprised him somewhat when, as a child, he’d visit his friends and see how much more relaxed their families were. He doesn’t resent his family or his upbringing. However, he tends to think that people with laxer families have turned out to be slacker types, and he’s seen it within the judo club as well.

Character Goals: From my perspective, I’d mostly just like to develop my characters more through writing with them. I usually just adapt existing ocs for different roleplays but the characters have to exist first, and this is a concept I’ve been toying with in my head with my OU for a little bit. I’d like him to be more than “a nice person who Hotaru’s friends with”, haha.
