@Delta44

Oh...wait...WHY IS SHE KNOWN AS A DJ FIRST?!

Assuming lil' Mochizukki wasn't nearly decapitated by the bullet...

Wait...AW DELTA WHY DID YOU REMOVE HER PROFILE?

I can't remember her face. :(
@Daxam

"After seeing you dance at the club, I didn't expect to see you waltzing, Sabine."

"Now where have I heard that voice before?"

Sabine was, honestly, a little anxious. She had let her feelings come out too quickly. It wouldn't have taken a 10 year-old to know how desperate she must've sounded at the time, but...

...well, he did say yes. Perhaps a plus; perhaps not. She considered leaving early to recollect herself and avoid getting left off in the middle of the dance floor, but it appeared a certain magician had whisked her away from the fresh night air.

"Dancing's fun, really. It's like the one thing besides drugs that you can really do stuff with other people that doesn't involve purposely..er, 'beating' people. No competition, no goal but to see if you and your partner are happy. Waltz just...isn't in style.

She took the taller man by the wrist and dragged him off to the side as the next song came rolling in. They were clammy now; she had a weird feeling in her gut ever since her last dance partner waltzed his way off to his intended mistress.

It was like she wanted to pound her head until she had dropped a good 30 IQ points. Maybe she'd go fishing for shrimp with an amputee and marry a blondie, some real goldilocks like Nori...

...okay Sabine, stop fantasizing about her. Bad girl.

"But I'd guess you'd want a spin with me here, huh? I would...if my legs weren't jello. So...how about some hor d'oeuvres?"

Right...food...Zac was nice enough to let her calm down, right? She could feel the blood in her body pulse as alcohol seeped into her veins.

She had forgotten to eat, hadn't she?

The brunette slide on a barstool, and ordered a glass of water as she scanned the rest of the room to search for a few waiters and servers. But...dammit, why did they have to wear masks too, of all times?!
@Takashi

Sabine wasn't one to be so easily turned down. She knew Yutaro had a lady friend, but Sabine was closer to needing more than a few friends in Shining City. For one fact, Sabine wasn't sure if the Tiny Snowflake café was going to hold up against that Kettle place, and she was goong to need a lot of convincing to get past her past troubles.

She couldn't possibly lay her predicament on any one pers, be it Zac, Kyle, Vern, Yutaro, that one waitress...and most definitely not Nori, but suppose she got a little help from everyone...

Romance wasn't as much her objective as much as her sanity without drugs. Back over there, she had no family, no real friends to rely upon. All there was were drinks, unsafe sex, and stacks of cash to pay off for the next kilo.

Einstein said expecting anything different from the same routine was insane, so...wouldn't this be insane?

Would it be sane for a girl to pursue a man already taken?

"Yutaro-san, before we go..."

Inadvertently, she had gripped his shirt, and was quick to squeeze tightly so as to avoid letting him escape.

"...I...if you want to talk more, I'll be working at Mochavine. Don't be a stranger because of tonight, okay?"
@Takashi

This was certainly more fun than the last waltz she did. Though the song was a bit on the slow side and was meant more for those that needed the sound of footsteps (as opposed to the music) to guide them. Hence, only the lead soloists were playing, so as to slowly build up into what would be another song, one plenty more grand.

But there was something about the simplicity, the focus that was demanded by the quieter music and the long rests, that kept her focus on her partner. As opposed to the playfulness of a cousin, there was an absurdly heavy air between the masked partners. A misstep anywhere during the song could kill someone with the poison of embarassment.

But to die in Yutaro's arms would be an ultimate fantasy, one just missed as the song came to a close. She could feel his arm slide back up from her lower back to her shoulder blade, where it had unconsciously slid down to during the dance.

"You're an excellent dancer...I'm almost embarrassed! My steps are nowhere near as clean as yours. Where did you learn?"

The waltz? When she was young, her uncle used to have this charming young son...a ladies' man groomed to be a lady killer in the future.

"My cousin, and...my first crush, too. He taught me the general stuff, but...oh my god..."

Memories came flooding back. Sabine had to stifle a giggle as she pulled herself closer to him to giggle on his chest.

"...I spent that summer practicing to match him. My dad, he'd put up with me every night after he closed the gym. The yoga room had to be cleaned and polished again and again because my heels were so sharp..."

She looked up, her jade irises piercing past Yutaro's mask, searching for answers beyond even the mask of his face. She told him about her life...and him to her...not yet. Her interlocked fingers held her securely close to him.

"You're not bad at all. How'd you learn how to charm girls like that, Yutaro-san, or am I your first?"
