"..you're worried about the deaths, aren't you? It's only the ghouls, so.. we'll be okay, right?""Y-Yeah.. of course we will."

Full name:
Mizushima Natsuko - or, by her ghoul alias, the "Theater Fox"; "Phantom of the Opera" is a derogatory variant sometimes used.

Appearance:
Natsuko stands at a fair 5 feet and 6 inches with a build sitting somewhere between average and lean. She has plain brown eyes with natural black hair, which sits at about neck length and is normally worn in a small bun or ponytail with the fringe out or pinned back, which isn't long enough to fit into it. She normally dresses in an androgynous fashion, typically sporting clothing from the mens section.

Species:
Ghoul.

Ghoul mask:
Natsuko wears a [Kitsune mask] in situations where her genuine identity may be linked to that of her ghoul one. The mask itself bears intricate detail and matches the description of a mask reported stolen from the Moto Theater Group four years ago - thus, "Theater Fox". The bells on the mask were deliberately removed, leaving small holes in the ears.

Age:
Twenty-one (21).

Gender:
Female ♀.

Personality:
Natsuko is a person who's primarily characterized by her neutrality and her as-the-wind-blows, broadly accepting approach to life - not because she's open-minded, but rather because she's not particularly phased by a lot of things. On the other side of the same coin, when she is phased by something, she normally responds passionately if not even somewhat violently in support of her beliefs; in this regard, she's very black-and-white.

With ghouls dropping dead in the hundreds, no doubt including people she knew, Natsuko's currently a little dejected and lifeless - as much as she hates to admit it alongside the majority of her faults, she's afraid of death, and also afraid of her potential death from the mysterious circumstances linking her to being a ghoul, even post-mortem. She's most at home when she's in a workshop, particularly when it comes to sports cars, and is an active part of the illegal street racing scene which she both enjoys and does for stress relief; she also smokes for stress relief, having recently relapsed after her third unsuccessful attempt to quit.

Biography:
Natsuko was born in Tateyama, Chiba Prefecture, as the oldest of two children - although her family moved to Tokyo shortly after her birth following concerns regarding food in the much smaller city, now with a child to feed on top of themselves. Her father, who's "human" alter ego was that of a sales analyst, insisted that Natsuko receive a proper education and as such, she attended school like humans her age where she, on top of the standard curriculum, learned what it was to act "human". She values the human lifestyle - one which she perceives as a lifestyle focused around interpersonal relations, personal achievement, and contribution to the community, as opposed to the much more primal lifestyle of hunting and survival for ghouls - and for most of her life, has aspired to blend in as seamlessly as possible.

Between ages 15 and 17, Natsuko struggled with her primal urges to hunt and feed; during this stage, she was incredibly active as a hunting ghoul and frequently tipped the radar of and even skirmished with CCG on occasion, which later led to her reclassification from B to A. She turned to smoking for some relief, but found it had little effect, although she continued to rely on it as a vice for stress relief; since picking it up, she's attempted three times to quit, with her most recent unsuccessful attempt only ending within the month. This caused her grades to begin to dip until eventually, shortly before her 17th birthday, she outright stopped going to school against her fathers wishes. This behavior was out-of-character for her which piqued the interest of her teachers and more notably, her best friend: Ikeda Yasu, a human. Natsuko's father eventually pulled her out of school and shortly after, Yasu - who always had an "active" approach to looking after her friends - discovered that Natsuko was a ghoul and as if it were the only choice there was, much to Natsuko's relief, made a pact to keep her secret. With her help, Natsuko later began an automechanics apprenticeship that same year.

Originally, Natsuko lived with her parents in the 12th Ward, but following the outbreak of Shi no te, she moved in with Yasu's family in the 20th ward - which ultimately worked out better for her, as she works at the family-owned Ryuu Motors in the very same ward - in order to better avoid the influenza. Her younger brother and her mother are among the scores of ghouls abruptly dead from the virus - fortunately, by a hairs width, neither corpses were found and in turn never identified as ghouls, although this is no doubt her fathers doing.

For now, Natsuko is an automechanic at a small-time, family-owned workshop by day, a rising star in the Tokyo street racing scene by night, and the A-rated ghoul "Theater Fox" as need be. She lives with her best friends, Yasu's, family as if she was one of their own, and in turn puts in great effort to take on her share and more of the household tasks to try and ease the guilt she feels for "imposing" on them, which they insist it's not. She has a particularly close relationship with the families youngest daughter, an 11-year-old human named Hotaru. She hunts normally every second night and when does, she normally tries to lure or catch people in secluded alleyways, where she favors a brief fast-and-hard approach as supported by her RC type; when three or more quinques are involved she almost always runs, hence the derogatory nickname "Phantom of the Opera" used by some CCG investigators. Much like her personality, she's black-and-white with CCG investigators - she either goes full frontal, or full retreat, which is something particularly noted on her CCG file. Her CCG file also suggests that she's a part of the illegal street racing scene and a focus on the investigation on her revolves around identifying her car and registration - which happens to be a [white 2014 Nissan Skyline GTR] with the registration 39-80, if they were to obtain such a lead.

Rating:
A.

Kagune:
Natsuko bears an Ukaku-type kagune with a mostly even spread between the two "wings", with the left side being a little larger. The wings are largely purple and black with splotches of white and light yellow, to the semblance of space or a galaxy.

RC type:
Ukaku.

If anybody's looking to jump in on some RP come chill with Sonja and various nondescript NPC's out on the grass~

Whatever Mrs. whats-her-name had to say about characterizing in creative writing, it was a world away. Sonja, tucked away in the back corner of the classroom, tapped her foot along to the music in her ear and sketched the time away. This wasn't unusual - in fact this was quite normal, and the whole group in the back corner was killing time in some way or another. Nobody questioned that the back corner table was their sovereign territory and while nobody really did anything about it if anyone sat there, it was considered a crime to break the status quo.

With only so much left to do on Sonja's latest sketch - a sketch of a cartoon puppy - the bell began to ring. While most came to to abhor the unpredictable and ceaseless bell, Sonja and her friends, as they are effectively trademarked for, found some fun in it: they'd place bets - well, they barely classify as bets, more-or-less dares and IOU's for the canteen or the local cafe - for how many songs the bell would ring for, using a different persons phone each time.
"Six." Sonja bet, as she folded her books shut and loaded them into her bag. "I'm feeling like we're up for a six day today."
"Four.. I'm feeling four." came one of the others, standing straight up and hoisting her bag onto her back, having packed it up along ago.
"Y'know.. I'm going for eight." came yet another one as he stowed away his own things, taking his time like always.
"Eight? God, I hope not..."
And so, as Sonja tugged her bag into her back and put her guitar case over her shoulder by the sling, the chatter and banter carried on. At their own pace, the group filed out of the classroom and into the broader school.

The group, as is tradition for a Friday afternoon, made their way towards their usual spot: on the grass and under the tress, north of the pool and west of the boys dormitories. A few others met them there and a few others trickled in later, forming their usual little amalgamation of friendship circles. Whilst some would stay just long enough to see the bet through and others would stay with the group until they arrived at the bonfire tonight - I mean, it was no secret plenty of people were going. They just took their place and took the time with one another. Instruments came out and went away as they felt like it and music from phones would begin, stop and change as they saw fit. Life was good when you didn't sweat the small stuff.
@ClocktowerEchos Yeah I'm still here.
Sorry about the tardyness with my sheet, the rosters at work have been all funny, they're trying to change it up a little. Here's to two weeks in a row with 1 day off and 9-10 hour days.

"To achieve great things, two things are needed: a plan and not quite enough time." Leonard Bernstein said that one. That one doesn't go alone, though: "Rule number one is, don’t sweat the small stuff. Rule number two is, it’s all small stuff." How do those two go together? Well, just to spite you for reading my journal, I'm going to let you figure that one out on your own.

Relaxed, creative, I like to think I'm pretty funny, defiantly curious... Pretty great? Likes to talk to myself in handwriting? Next time I'm doing this on the computer so I can type a bunch of stuff and change the text color to white.

  • Photography.
  • Acoustic music.
  • Animals - in particular the fluffy and friendly ones.
  • Good vibes.
  • Surprises, or well, the good ones.

Admittedly I don't really think about the future that much, but I'm definitely after a career in photography. I might even study at university so I can put off becoming an adult for longer.

Another thing I don't really think about, but... I don't really take life that seriously? I'm only really cruising and don't see myself changing anytime soon; or well, cruising by prestigious art school standards, anyway.

The memory I can remember the clearest, with photographic clarity would be... taking this really nice photo not too long after getting into photography, a photo of a view from a bridge, and getting it printed, framed, the works. The reason I remember it so well is because it's right here on my desk. Heh.

I think my biggest mistake was not being fast enough, with mum and dad. But it all worked out in the end, so no need to stress the small stuff.

I'm not a very romantic person, I rarely think or look into this sort of thing, but.. from what I've seen of myself, my ideal partner is someone who's my best friend. I'm not saying that because of the whole 'lover and best friend' thing, as in, my ideal partner is someone I can call names and punch in the arm and stuff like that comfortably; like I said, I'm not very romantic. As for what they're like and even gender I guess, I'm not too worried about it.

I don't really like bringing this up, but.. when I was younger, maybe 11 or 12, mum and dad didn't get along at all and I really wasn't doing well with it. That's why I got into photography: at first it was a new hobby, something my mum wanted me to have with it all going on at home, but then I decided to take matters into my own hands. I hid under the dining room table for half an hour three nights in a row and eventually, I caught my father in the act, and I took photos. With all of the evidence, one thing led to another and, despite what mum's lawyer thought might happen, dad was actually sent to prison for assault occasioning actual bodily harm and has no custody of me. They've been split up since. I'm really not sure how mum felt about me doing that, but she's definitely happier now, and that makes me happy too, but.. I wish he was still around, for some reason. He hasn't been the same, since he left.
Oh wow, I really poured my heart out here didn

If I could turn back time, I think I'd try and pick up photography earlier. The whole thing with domestic violence went on for far too long, if I caught it in the act earlier.. maybe dad might have been just on a bond for common assault, and everything could have gone back to normal.
Incredibly interested.
Do you want me to rework my character into a male because of dat ratio? I'm happy to if you'd like.

Also I don't know what's going on but I heard there were butts involved? Please direct me to the butts.
Defiantly in for this, if you have the room anyways.
I'll start on a sheet.
