It was finally here.. A soft part forming at the seam of her lips, Richelle’s dark gaze lingered on the package sat neatly on her desk. Resting over her closed laptop. Unopened, and delivered bright and early that morning. Gods, lord Hermes worked quickly. Part of her was thankful for that, another part of her was nervous. Immensely so. But there was nothing new about that. In fact, it was a regular occurrence; especially in moments like these.. She knew what it was.. She didn’t need to open it to know that it was the first six copies of her latest book - not that she could even bring herself to cut open the package. Did that make her pathetic..? Probably.. Okay, yeah.. It was most definitely pathetic. The book was published. The release date for the public was in two days. There was no going back; and besides, it wasn’t like this was her first book. Hell, it wasn’t even her first series. No.. she’d been around this block a few times, and yet, her post-publishing routine was always the same. Wake up. Brush teeth. Stare at the package. Psych herself out to the point of feeling sick. Go running to Brynn or Chandler for help. Tradition. Who was she to break it..? Closing her eyes, Rickie sucked in a deep breath. Fingers nervously twisting around one another before she eventually let the breath out with a heavy heave. Her shoulders slumping. Right. That meant it was time for stage five: Go running to Brynn of Chandler for help. Only issue was.. she had no idea where the hell to find Brynn. “.. well.. fuck.” But.. she did know where she could find her favorite cousin. One that wasn’t in the habit of accidentally shooting arrows towards her face. Now that was an experience she never wanted to repeat. Snatching up the package as she moved; Richelle held it against her chest. Feet carrying her down from the solace of her bedroom in the attic of the Athena cabin, it wasn’t long before she was lifting her hand to shield her face from the blinding morning sun. And blinking, she took a few moments to adjust to the light of the day. Well.. she had to hand it to him.. There was no one she knew, deity or otherwise, who could shine brighter than her uncle Apollo. Not that she would ever utter the words out loud. Though.. even if she did; like everyone else she crossed paths with, he probably wouldn’t even know who she was. Shoving that thought to the side, not wanting to dwell on it at that precise moment, she instead started off through the camp. Leaving the cabins behind as her path led her towards her cousin's familiar haunt. The infirmary. If he wasn’t there, then-.. Well, he was never not there. Hugging the box closer against her chest, it was with a light bump of her hip that she was pushing open the door. And stepping into the infirmary, Richelle cast a glance around. Taking in the empty beds, as well as the ones that were currently in use; she made sure to keep as quiet as possible as she made her way further into the building. Her voice soft as she called out, ”.. Chan..? Please tell me you’re here.. and that you have coffee..” Early morning was Chandler’s favorite time of the day, and while it could be considered slightly strange for a son of Apollo to enjoy any time when the sun didn't shine, early morning meant that the child of the Sun could see what came after. It never failed to bring a smile to his face. The world would begin to come to life with a few chirps from the waking birds and the occasional hoot from an owl as if Athena was watching as well and approved. The sun would slowly begin to manifest itself, burning away the last vestiges of the darkness that had claimed superiority for the short amount of time that it was granted dominion. It was truly glorious and that was why Chandler had turned into a morning person. Sure enough, while Chandler made his way to the infirmary the sun brightly made itself known and Chandler closed his eyes, stretched out his arms and took in the light. ”Morning dad,” he said softly. While Chandler could stand in the sun all day, he knew he had work to do and so the blonde downed his orange juice and finished his walk to the Infirmary. He entered and made a quick round on the few tenants there, and checked in with the healer who took the night shift. He thanked them and let them go to grab some sleep and while he made his way back into his office which had the words ‘Head Healer’ on it. As he entered a smile would cross his face and he’d walk over to the wall and press the play button on a device which would start playing ‘Walking on Sunshine’ by Katrina and the Waves. Dancing to the beat Chandler would begin tidying up and then get to the annoying part of his day. Paperwork. Paperwork was the single thing that Chandler despised about being the Head Healer and the head of the Infirmary. It. Was. Endless, and the information had to be sealed in case other campers tried to come and sneak a peek at trying to find some weakness to exploit in their fellow camper. So, Chandler had suggested the files would be sealed in a ‘burn pouch’ which was a pouch specifically attuned to a person, usually a child of Apollo and anyone else that would attempt to open the pouch with magic or physical means would get a nasty burn on their face which would then let staff know exactly who attempted to get into personal records. And so, while still dancing, Chandler performed the opening movements to the pouch and retrieved patient files and then began going methodically through every interaction the Infirmary and individual Healer had with campers. After an hour, and a few cups of coffee, he was more or less finished and he massaged his temples a bit as he felt a headache coming along. He would sigh, and then sing a bit along with the current song playing, a nice acoustic song called Brother. As he sang his skin would glow a bit and the headache would dissipate. Giggling a bit at the idea of writing in his file about the healing, Chandler instead replaced the files into the pouch, replaced it in a secure place, and then stood with a large stretch. He was just finishing when he heard a soft voice call out to him. He smiled brightly when he registered who it was and opened his office door wide. ”Morning Rickie! Yeah, I have some coffee. I can make you a new pot if you'd like. This has been here for an hour or so.” He headed towards the pot and twisted his head to look at his friend. The sound of her cousin’s voice having caught her ear; Richelle was quick to turn herself in the direction of his office. Of course. Duh. Why it wasn’t the first place she’d thought to look, she’d never know, and part of her was embarrassed at that thought. Shaking it off though, it was with another step of two closer that the young daughter of Athena was holding up the box in her arms. A nervous glint sparkling behind her Earthen hues. “.. it came.” Drawing her lip into her mouth, she chewed on it. Hesitating a spell before, closing the gap slightly, she instead diverted to put the package down on top of his desk. Hands drawing back like they’d been burnt by flames as she brought them together in front of her stomach. Fingers once again playing nervously with one another, “.. I couldn’t open it..” With his face turned back to the coffee machine and now brewing a new pot for Rickie, Chandler didn't see the box at first. But with the two words he would spin quickly and eye the package even as it was placed on top of his desk where he had been working. This wouldn't have been the first time that Chandler would help his cousin and best friend through the traditional anxiety but he had to say, he was quite surprised it was already release time again. OK. OK, deep breaths. You, take this.” And Chandler would hand over a mug with coffee. “Then I'll take this.” He went to his desk and patted the box. Not too far away was a shelf with all of Rickie's other books in a large row. He placed a hand on the box and then peered at his cousin and grinned widely. “Ready?” He didn't give her time to respond and instead ripped the whole left side open and giggled. Richelle had barely finished curling her fingers around the mug of hot coffee before the sound of ripping cardboard hit her ears. And eyes widening, she stared in her cousin’s direction. Her mouth hanging open slightly, though for once, words seemed to be eluding her. “.. I-..” Brain. Work. Connect damnit..! Unable to make little more than a soft squeak in her attempt to speak; Rickie instead let one of her hands fall away from her coffee. Lifting up to instead smack against her forehead in slight frustration. Though not aimed towards her cousin. No. Never. But rather, it was aimed towards herself. Gaze dropping from his as her hand fell back to the mug; she shifted as she managed to catch a glimpse of the smallest bit of the cover. Shit. It felt like her heart was doing flips in her chest. That was it- well.. If she was being technical, that was the top left-hand corner of it. But still.. that was it. The very latest addition to her ’Worlds Between’ series. .. the series she wrote about the demigods of Camp Half-Blood.. ”Better and easier to rip the band-aid off so to speak.” The medical pun was painful, even to Chandler. His eyes remained fixed on Rickie even as his hands moved to finish opening the box and reveal the books inside. He left it open and moved to stand beside his cousin and gently nudged her. ”Hey. It's OK, no need to smack yourself. I've been on the receiving end of some of those and I've got to keep my strength up for the countless injured campers that'll be flocking to me now that summer is starting.” He pulled the box over and removed the other flaps and picked up a single copy, and then placed it in front of Rickie. He pulled her inside a side hug then and peered towards her. ”You're so awesome, you know that right?” “.. please.. you’re just saying that. There’s nothing special about me..” Fingers curling slightly; Richelle’s hold over her coffee tightened. Her dark eyes lingering on the now fully exposed book lain before her. It was.. so much better than she could have ever imagined. But then again, she felt the exact same way when she saw each of her books covers for the first time. Reaching out, a little tentative as her fingers lightly brushed the cover, she eventually slid the book back over the desk. Stopping only once it had come to a rest in front of her cousin, rather than sitting in front of herself. Her head turning slightly as she looked up at him, “.. this one’s yours..” With an eye roll, Chandler stuck out his tongue at her and shook his head, making some of his hair get into his eyes. He moved it and then moved to where he could directly look at his cousin and then made his face as serious as he could. ”I'm not just saying it. I know you don't believe me but I'm telling the truth. To me, you're awesome. You're creative, kind, intelligent. And yeah, sure I'm your friend but still. Believe me.” He watched as she took in the cover and as she slid the book over to him he smiled again, the smile that he was told lit up the room like the sun. He took the book and placed it right at the front of all the others and then chuckled. ”I'm sure I'll get plenty of time to read this today and tonight. The start of summer is always super busy.” With another gentle nudge, Chandler would sit and eye Rickie to make sure she was truly ok. Allowing her gaze to fall away from him, Rickie instead stared at the rich tones of her coffee. Her thumb brushing gently against the side of the warm mug. He was right- she didn’t believe him. Or, at least, part of her didn’t believe him. The other part of her, though, wanted it so desperately to be true. But how could it be..? If it was the truth- if she was as awesome as he claimed.. then why was she so forgettable..? The forgotten child of Athena. The words ringing in Richelle’s mind, she let her gaze wander. ’.. that.. would make a pretty good title..’ Filing that stray thought away for later when she had more time to think on it, and the possible story to follow; she instead shifted. Her body moving absentmindedly over to one of the seats by his desk. Lowering herself until she was perched on the edge of it. “.. do you think that.. if anyone here ever actually realized I existed.. that they’d be angry knowing that my characters are all based on them..?” With a thoughtful expression on his face, Chandler considers and leans back in his chair. ”First of all, not everyone thinks you're invisible. Me and you though, that's our lot in camp. People need us and don't realize it until we're gone. Without you who takes the time to actually teach the younger kids things other than swinging a sword or murdering things. And without me who patches up all the innumerable injuries that happen every second. We're givers, and don't need constant acknowledgement. Though, I won't lie, slight recognition wouldn't be the worst.” He chuckled again, his smile growing wider and the pretty boy look that was so hard to get annoyed at showed up. ”But no, I don't think so. Probably would be intrigued. Though with the best character already taken that might make em a bit annoyed. But hey, they can't all be me.” he gives a wink and instead of giggling Chandler's full melodic laugh sounds. The soft sound of her chuckle fell into the air, and shifting slightly in her seat, Richelle folded her legs up underneath her body. A lightly playful glint sparkling behind her eyes as she let them flick over to where her cousin was lounging. The mug lifting to rest in front of her lips, ”.. Heh.. careful now, Chandler. Your father’s ego is showing.” Head shaking lightly, she closed the gap between the mug and her lips. Finally sealing them against the rim as, finally, she took a drink. Allowing the caffeine to start working its way through her system now that her nerves and anxious feelings had melted away. As the warning was given Chandler seemed to glow a bit as his smile widened and he nodded a few times as if accepting her words. ”Gotta make him proud sometimes. I am my father's son after all.” He knew many campers didn't have the best relationship with their Godly parents but Chandler and Apollo got along quite well. After all, the god of the Sun did save him from juvenile hall and had always been there when he needed, which wasn't a lot, as Chandler did his best not to rely on said God to always be prepared to console him. But, other than feeling pride in himself and his parentage, Chandler was also glad to see Rickie relaxing and laughing. He was pretty good at cheering her up and there weren't many people in camp who could fully resist a child of Apollo when they turned on full charm mode, but it still made him feel good to help. ”.. well, at least one of us does.” Shaking her head lightly, another soft chuckle falling lightly from between her lips, Rickie couldn’t help but roll her eyes. A small, though genuine smile dancing over her features as she lowered her mug back down. Letting it rest in her lap. ”.. I swear because of him, I’m like the dumbest smart person around.” |

Body having hit the ground in such a way that the already injured body part had made contact with the hard earth beneath him once he'd been thrown. Fucking Jackson..! He was going to wring that little shits neck once he got hold of him. Only reason he hadn't done so thus far was because a certain daughter of Deimos had talked him down after he'd finally woken up from his little unwanted nap. Well... that and the fact that the son of Hermes was one of his mates. ".. Los hijo de puta..!" Dirt kicking up around him, Killian only barely managed to roll himself out the way. His eyes, as blue as the glistening waters of the camps lake, shooting towards the strong legs of the horse he'd been working with before he'd been cast from it's back. It's hooves having landed directly where his chest had been not moments before. Ignoring the pain he felt - it was something he'd deal with later - Kills scrambled to his feet. Pace leisurly as he worked to put space between himself and the colt he'd been working with. Though even as he did, he shot a glance back over his shoulder towards it. He had to admit... he was a beauty. Perfect muscle structure. Brilliant shine on it's dark auburn coat. If he didn't already think it about his own horse, Sombra, he'd have said it was the most magnificent creature he'd seen. The sound of his name being called pulling him from thoughts, however, the young man to turned his attention back to where he was going. His gaze landing on the only other person working the stables that day. A soft groan falling into the air; he rolled his eyes. Hand reaching across to rub at his shoulder in an attempt to calm some of the pain he felt, "Argh... What now Malia..?" His words hitting her ears, the daughter of Athena narrowed her dark eyes. Staring at him, as though in contemplation, but after another beat or two, she simply copied his actions. Her own eyes rolling as she closed the gap left between her and the fencing separating them, ".. oh fuck off - you're the one who left me in charge of your phone." Left hand up in surrender, the right still massaging the ache in his shoulder, Killian heaved out a sigh, "Okay, okay... I got your point, cosas cortas. Talk to me- what's going on..?" "Well, aside from the fact that we're working shorthanded..." ".. I already told you I-..." "Yeah... I know. You already let me know that you told Greyson you'd cover for him today. I believe what I said though was aside from being shorthanded..." ".. Uh-huh..? Get to the point, Little M." Face pulling into a deadpan, Malia stared at him. His phone held up over the top of the fencing, ".. your stupid phone wont stop going off. Something about a... melocotones grad..? I don't know what that is." A deep chuckle falling through his lips, Killian reached out to snag his phone from out of her hand. A small smirk pulling out over his features as he gave the younger girl his back. Choosing to lean back against the fence post nearest to the both of them, "Not a what - but a who. It's a reminder." Staring down at the reminder on his phone for a few moments, thinking, Kills eventually pulled himself back to the present. Shooting a glance back over his shoulder at the girl, he motioned lazily towards the horse which had, in the time they'd been speaking, calmed down enough to now be chilling on the other side of the pen, ".. take Persus back to his stall. I'm done with him for the day; Grey's just gonna have to wait for my shoulder to heal before I tackle trying to break him again. Give him this... he lives up to his damn name, that's for sure. Oh... and when you've done that, bring me Arete and the lunging gear." ".. You wanna run him..?" "I do. Yeah." "Yeah, right... I'll get it done, boss." A deep chuckle passing though his lips; Killian's eyes flicked towards the girl as she made her way past him. The look on her face a clear indication that she thought it wasn't a good idea. Okay, yeah. Sure. She might have had a point, but it wasn't right to keep the animal cooped up in the stall simply because not many in the camp could handle him. Giving a light shake of his head, it wasn't long before the boy was turning his attention back down to his phone. And with a few quick swipes of his thumb, he unlocked it. Dismissing the reminder, to then pull up his messages. Taking a moment or two to simply go through them until he found the right text chain. Lips turning into a small, rather soft smile as he began to type. Staring at the screen a few moments, though knowing he most likely wasn't going to be getting a reply anytime soon; Killian's thumb eventually hit the lock button on the side of his phone. Head turning off to the side, he lowered his arm, slipping the device down into the back pocket of his dirt-covered jeans. Fuck, he needed a shower. And really, the hot water probably wouldn't hurt the ache he felt in his muscles, either. Quite the opposite actually. Pushing himself off the post, his feet carrying him back towards the main stable, Killian crossed his arms over his body. And peeling his top off in one single fluid motion; it was as he drew closer to the building that he tossed it over towards the open doors. Never once leaving the pen; though as he caught sight of daughter of Athena leading out the creature he'd asked for, he jogged over towards the gate. Taking a second before he held it open. Free hand reaching to take both the lunge line and the lunge whip from her as she drew close enough. Head turning, his gaze following after her, Kills waited until she'd passed before he made to shut the gate again. "He give you any trouble..?" "A bit... Glad I got the lead on him when I did. As soon as I opened the stall he tried to bolt." "Ah... that ain't trouble." Shaking his head lightly as he crossed over to where she was standing, Killian's hand reached to swap lines - unclipping the lead, replacing it instead with the lunge line; he took a moment to run his hand over the beasts neck a few times, "Someone's just happy to be out and about for once." ".. still not sure about this. With your shoul-..." "Mal." Turning his gorgeous blues down on the girl; Killian was patient. Waiting until he was absolutely sure that he had her full attention before he so much as thought about continuing. Expression softening, a small reassuring smile played on his lips as he attempted to ease her worries, ".. I got this. Don't worry. " Hand falling from where it was resting against the animal's neck, he instead reached it across. Gently nudging the tip of the girls nose with his knuckle as he shot her a wink, "Listen... How about this; hang the lead up by the gate for me. And once you're done with the feed, you can knock off for the day." ".. You sure..?" "Yeah, course. Go. Just make sure to close up the feed room properly - don't know who it was that didn't the other day, but I found Lucia in there, sniffing around." Attention having fallen to his hands, Kills shot a glance towards her. Giving her a light nod of his head as he organized his line. Waiting until the daughter of Athena had cleared the pen, it was only when he was sure that she had that he sent the gelding off. Letting Arete get in a few good laps before, with a sharp whistle, and the guidance of the lunge whip, the gorgeous black pegasus spread it's wings. Taking to the sky. And with that, Killian allowed him to have more of the line. His crystalline blue hues sparkling lightly in the morning sun, though he never once let them fall from the animal. Even as, behind him, his own set of wings streached out. The tips of the long black feathers dragging gently over the ground behind him as he turned on the spot, in time with the creature above. Oh yeah... Despite the incident on the training grounds the day before - this was the perfect way to start the summer. |

Assembly’s. Gods, she hated them. They were just so long, and monotonous, and the majority of the time, they really had nothing of value to anyone other than a select few. And she was very rarely included in that few category, she honestly didn’t see the point anymore. Hands breaking apart, causing her arms to flop back down to her sides as she gave her back a break, satisfied now that she had finished cracking it, the young redhead cast a quick glance around. And hands drawing together, she gave very little attention to her flannel. Tightening it around her waist as she rounded the corner, wandering out into the fresh air and sunlight of the lacrosse field side by side with one of her three best friends. Allister Demoin. Where Dav and Revels were, she had no idea. Her phone hadn’t gone off in a few hours, but bets were both were off doing things for their various clubs. She couldn’t help but to scrunch her features up slightly at the thought that she should probably be doing the same. "You know I actually have responsibilities at this thing this year..?" Closing what little gap was between them, there was no hesitation in the girl's actions as she snaked her arm around his back. And making herself comfortable at his side, slipped her hand down into the back pocket of his (no doubt designer) jeans, "Got my own booth and everything. Guess I should probably swing by it at some point, huh..?" Allister’s eyes were scanning the crowd of students milling about before they eventually landed back on Tanith as she put her hand in his pocket. His own arm naturally moved to wrap around her shoulders. He, admittedly had not been paying full attention to Tan when she started talking but his brain managed to put enough of it together to formulate a response. “You and I both know you would rather spend all your time hanging out with me rather than standing around at a boring booth. That is, after all, what you have lower classmen for.” He winked at her and smiled continuing on his path which, admittedly, was to one of the food vendors. He had left the house this morning without eating since he ended up waking up late. At that point he was already committed to picking up Tanith and he was not about to cancel on her. So, knowing there would be food he opted to not eat. Not that he would tell his companion that, as far as she was concerned he was simply still hungry. “Though I suppose if you really have to swing by the booth I guess I have no choice than to come with you. You know, to make sure you don’t get too bored and or lonely.” He ran his free hand through his hair as he teased his friend. He knew she had other friends she could talk to, but that wasn’t going to stop him from bothering her as long as he possibly could. “But after I get myself a funnel cake or a pretzel or something. I want some carnival food. If you want anything it’s my treat.” He knew she would probably argue with him about spending money on her but he didn’t care. He was going to do it anyway and she really couldn’t stop him. The sound of Tanith’s laughter got lost in the crowd around them, she couldn’t help but roll her eyes. And really, the boy had a point. Unless they were really diligent, the majority of Seniors running clubs had blown off responsibility by putting underclassmen in charge of running their booths. And they both knew she was certainly no exception to that. "Well, I mean… till this year, I wasn’t running DnD as an ‘official’ club. Just a hobby for those who were interested. Dunno how the others talked me into it; but payback is they can run the booth while you and I stuff our faces." Tongue poking out from between her lips, Tanith was more than willing, and used to at this point, Allister taking the lead. Allowing him to move her in whichever direction suited him in the moment, though as the smell of food washed over her, she gave it her attention. Not so much as bothering to argue with him on matters of money as she took a moment to eye off the menu, "Ooo… might take you up on a funnel cake. I’m starving. All ready to cook breakfast this morning, and my phone starts ringing. Next thing I know, I’m sitting at the table, drinking a coffee, while your mother ‘reminds’ me that I have to make a good impression for Senior year, so I should dress to impress." Allister’s jaw tightened at the mention of his mother calling Tanith. It was one thing for her to put her unrealistic standards on him, but he hated that she did it to Tan also. “Sorry about her…” He muttered through gritted teeth. He had thought he heard her going on about keeping up standards and 'dressing to impress' but he hadn’t realized that she would be so bold as to try to control other people’s kids too. “Yea, I can get you a funnel cake, I think there is a vendor this way.” He turned in the direction of the stall. He was abnormally quiet as they stood in line. His brow was creased in thought, before finally he spoke again. “We can end this fake thing we have anytime you want. If my folks get to be too much, just say the word and I’ll pull the plug.” It hadn’t been the first time he had reminded her of this and it wouldn’t be the last. The two of them had decided to pretend to date to get Al’s parents off his back. They hated that he used to bring a different random girl to various public functions, told him it made him look like a sleaze and wasn’t good for the 'brand' so he’d decided to just start asking Tanith to come with him. Which was when his parents got the idea that they were together, and the two of them just went with it. Allister kind of felt bad subjecting her to his family, but at the same time, at least he didn’t have to deal with them alone. “Anyway! What do you want to order? Anything you want, milady.” He winked at her obviously trying to change the subject so he didn’t bring the mood down. Already having opened her mouth to respond, Tanith instead ended up closing it. Lips pursed slightly. He was, as usual, trying to change the subject. And she could understand why. This was a conversation they’d had before- it was one they’d had a few times over. And each time, the result was the same. If she could help him out by getting his parents off his back, even for a little. Yeah. Then it wasn’t even a question. Letting it go, however, Tanith allowed herself to be distracted by the menu hung up beside the vendor they were currently queuing in front of. Her sparkling blues roaming over the words written, there were a few moments of played up, intense thought before, eventually, she turned her gaze back to him. A warm smile breaking out over her features, "Classic funnel cake. All the way. .. at least to start." A smirk spread across his lips. “To start, you say? What makes you think the offer stands after the first purchase?” He teased, though he had no intention of letting her spend her own money after she told him his mother pestered her. If they were going to give Tan a hard time he was going to spend their money on her. Was no skin off his back. They finally got to the front of the line and he ordered both of them their funnel cakes. He ended up just copying Tanith, because he honestly hadn’t been looking at the menu, and whereas normally he wouldn’t have had a problem holding up the line, he knew his companion would tell him to stop being a prick. “Care to find a place to sit? Perhaps the bleachers where it’s mostly empty and all the inferior beings can look upon our superiority?” He was mostly joking… mostly. Al did like to stand out after all. He pointed to a spot that was mostly clear, more or less leading her toward it, unless she objected. "Mm..? Nghmm…" The food hadn’t been in her hands for more than a few seconds before Tanith was biting down into the sweet, gooey goodness that was fried pastry smothered in banana slices, and drizzled rather liberally with caramel topping. The mere taste was enough to have her eyes rolling back into her head, while from behind her sealed lips came a notable moan of satisfaction. Orgasms in general were good; food orgasms though... they just hit different. Once more happy to follow her feet, her body giving no resistance as he turned it to whatever direction he wanted to go in, Tanith didn’t seem to really register where they were until it was too late. And climbing a few rungs up the bleachers, she took a seat. A single leg folding up underneath her as she turned to face him. Giving the all too familiar field her profile as she chuckled, "Careful, Ali-boy… your ego is showing." Rolling his eyes as he chuckled. “My ego always shows doll, it’s part of my charm. Helps me pull the ladies. After all, women like a man who knows his worth. Worked with you, right?” He sat down beside her when he got to where he wanted to sit and took a bite of the carnival food that was now in his lap. “Do you need to check on your booth after this? I was serious when I said if I had too I would go sit over there with you… just make sure nobody thinks I am into your nerdy shit.” He glanced over at her knowing he would probably get smacked for that one, even though she knew he was mostly joking. “If not then I say we find some rides, or something to go on. If I’m forced to be here I might as well have some fun.” He honestly would have skipped the first day entirely if he hadn’t agreed to pick Tanith up. He also would have attempted to convince her to skip as well if he wasn’t already aware that she had a booth set up for her club. He would rather be asleep at the beach house, which was where he would have gone after leaving the house to “go to school”, than be here at the school, but it seemed he couldn’t say no to the redhead that sat beside him moaning at funnel cake. "Rides. Hands down. My vote is on rides- or games. I wanna see you try an’ win me a stuffed teddy." The bridge of her nose wrinkling lightly, Tanith’s tongue slipped playfully out from between her lips. Though it was only for a few moments before it was gone. Disappearing back into her mouth, as she drew the food back up and took another bite. Eliciting another moan, however this one was not quite as long. ".. Mm…." Pausing, hand falling away from her make-shift breakfast, she brought the back of her knuckles against her lips. Using her hand to cover her mouth long enough that she was able to finish what she was currently eating, before lowering it, and the rest of her funnel cake, down to her lap, ".. like you said, I got underclassmen to work the booth. We can just dip through later to see how things are going, Besides… if they really need me, they have my number." “Rides and maybe some games, you know they are all mostly scams though right? And the prizes are actually ass in terms of quality.” He didn’t know where his hatred for carnival games came from. Maybe it was simply because they had them at the scare attraction he worked during Halloween so he knew how trash they were. He honestly wasn’t sure. He just knew if she really wanted a 'Stuffed Teddy' as she called it he could get her a much better quality one for far less effort. He supposed she simply wanted to watch him struggle at the games that were pretty much rigged from the start. He took another bite of his cake and squinted at Tanith. “Tan, if you don’t stop making those noises at your food I am going to lose it…” He scanned her body briefly with his classic smirk. He would, in fact, not lose it, and they both knew it but still it was fun to give her a hard time. Tongue working its way into her cheek, Tanith’s brow arched. Her piercing gaze locked with his, almost as though she were sizing him up, though after a moment, she began to shift. Both legs drawing up to cross underneath her as she grew more comfortable, it was only once she was settled, facing him, that she leant herself forward. And making the gap between them smaller, lifted the food back to her lips. Giving a show of taking yet another bite, the moan purposefully louder and more drawn out than before as she maintained their eye contact. ".. Nghnn… so good…" Allister couldn’t help but roll his eyes. “Could you be any more of a brat while you are at it?” He whispered to her now that she was so much closer to him. He was egging her on at this point, his eyes locked with hers. But his hand reached to grab a piece of her funnel cake while she was distracted. He quickly pulled a piece off with his fork and shoved it in his own mouth before she could stop him. “Wow, yours is so much better than mine, no wonder you’re moaning so loud, I get it now.” He chuckled softly and stuck his tongue out at her before sliding back a bit to get some distance once more, mostly to protect his own fried and sugared treat from being seized in a similar manner. "Ah..! Rude much..!" Tanith’s mouth fell open, and flicking a hand out, it was with a light ‘smack’ that she playfully backhanded his chest. The corners of her lips playing in a smirk as she once more lifted her food from her lap. Already getting ready to take another bite, "Fucking dick. You are so lucky that I love you…" |
