Sorry for not posting guys, I've had a migraine for the last four days and it still hasn't gone yet! I'll post as soon as I can.

Ororo saw the expression on Loki's face and how serious Tony looked and began to worry, when Loki demanded 'Why' she was even more worried and confused. She took the flash drive from Tony and quickly downloaded the folder with her name on it. Her mouth dried when she watched the file and she had to swallow several times to work moisture back into it. Loki's comments made a lot more sense now. She glanced up when she noticed Tabby and James standing not too far away from their table.

Tabitha frowned when she saw the look on Ororo's face, her friend looked worried and a little scared and it took a lot to scare Ororo. She put her hand on her friends shoulder. "You ok?" She asked.

Ororo slowly shook her head and instead of explaining she handed Tabitha the flash drive. "Download the folder with your names on it." She said to both of them. Tabitha looked puzzled but did as her friend said and then handed the flash drive to James. She watched the file on her smart phone and almost dropped it in surprise.

"What the hell?" She demanded.

so we have two characters who can control and communicate with animals?

Ororo looked curiously at the flash drive Tony was passing around, what was on it that was so important? He said it was something to do with the birth-day children. Maybe it explained why they all developed abilities beyond that of a normal human?
There was no point trying to guess what the information was she decided, best just to wait and see it for herself. She was after all a patient person and didn't think there was any need to rush.

She smiled warmly at Loki and Gabriel when he joined them. She didn't know either one very well but she was a naturally warm and friendly person and wanted to make them feel welcome. She jumped slightly when Clara shouted across the shop to their group and then smiled in embarrassment, trust Clara to liven things up. She didn't want to shout what Tony had told her across the cafe as she figured it was best to keep it amongst themselves.

"Tony has found something that he thinks we'll find interesting." She called back. "Come and take a look."

Tabitha chuckled at 'George's' opinion on how well he was looked after, she guessed even plants get spoiled sometimes. She was just opening her mouth to continue the conversation when she noticed James come and stand next to them. Though he said nothing she could feel his eyes on them and she knew she was blushing again. Bloody pale skin she thought in frustration. Thankfully Clara distracted her thoughts by shouting at the group sitting across the shop from them. Tabitha winced at the volume and glanced quickly at her mother who was still behind the counter. Her mother frowned, she didn't like anything that might irritate or annoy her guests, but she said nothing. Her mother liked Clara and since the other customers didn't seem bothered she let it go.

She turned and grinned at James. "Hey you. Wondered if you were going to show." She nudged him playfully in the arm. "Being a hermit again were you?"

Here is my character, hope it's okay :)

Kenna Ross

Kenna Ross

Age: 17

Sex: Female

Appearance:


Kenna has long dark brown hair that is naturally curly and pale skin. Her eyes are a pale blue grey and she has delicate features in a heart shaped face. She is five foot four and has a slender build weighing 117 lbs. She spends most of her time in skinny jeans, calf high boots, long T-shirts and her black leather biker jacket. She likes jewellery and is often seen wearing multiple rings and necklaces, regardless of other jewellery she always wears an urn pendent in the shape of a tree that holds some of her father's ashes.

Personality: Kenna comes across as abrasive and somewhat blunt spoken but she isn't being deliberately harsh, she's just used to saying what she thinks as in her family this was the norm. She often feels uncomfortable around people and has always felt happier around animals. She is not completely antisocial but she is a loner and when she does spend time with other people she prefers to do so in small groups as she dislikes crowds. She has a fiery nature and feels things passionately whether it be love or anger, and her emotions are easily readable on her expressive face. She has a sarcastic and very dry sense of humour and people often struggle to tell if she's joking or not.
Due to her abilities she will often appear as though she isn't paying attention or she might laugh suddenly or react to something someone else can't see. This is due to receiving constant communication from the animal kingdom around her. This adds to her discomfort of people as she doesn't always remember to hide such reactions and she knows that most people think she is weird or odd. It doesn't help that she feels a lot of anger, frustration and sadness due to losing her father and being forced to leave the home she loved and adapt to a completely different country and culture.

Powers(advantages):
Enhanced Agility - Her natural agility, balance, and coordination are enhanced to levels beyond the human body's natural limits so
she can leap further, dodge quicker, fall from greater heights etc.
Enhanced Senses - Her senses have been enhanced beyond a normal humans. She is capable of seeing with greater clarity and at
greater distances than an ordinary human, and retains this same clarity, even in near-total darkness. Her
hearing is enhanced similarly, enabling her to both hear sounds that ordinary humans can't and to hear at much
greater distances. Her sense of smell is such than she can identify numerous different scents in a way a human
couldn't. She is able to use her sense of smell to track both people and animals.
Animal Communication - She is able to communicate with animals. She doesn't talk to them verbally but instead she receives images
mentally that her mind automatically translates into words.

Powers (Disadvantages):
Enhanced Metabolism - To compensate for her enhanced agility her metabolism has been sped up to more than a normal humans. Unfortunately
this means she burns through energy at a much faster rate and must replace that energy often. Basically she has to
eat more than a normal human or she will become dizzy and weak. If she has used her enhanced agility a lot in a
short space of time then she must eat high energy food immediately after or she will pass out a short time later.
Enhanced Sensitivity - Due to her enhanced senses Kenna is particularly vulnerable to loud noises or bright lights and either can stun her
or render her unconscious if she is subjected to them for an extended time. Particularly strong smells don't
incapacitate her but can confuse her and make her enhanced smell useless.
Enhanced Receiver - Kenna is unable to switch off her communication with animals (the most she can do is push it aside like background
noise) this has caused her to suffer chronic Migraines due to the mental strain. It also means she is particularly
weak to mental attacks such as Telepathy or Mind control.

Biography: Kenna was born and raised in Cromarty a town in the Highlands of Scotland. It was a small port town and Kenna loved it there. She loved the countryside and the wildlife and the people. She was an only child born to her father Connor (the local Veterinarian) and her mother Isla (a schoolteacher) Kenna loved animals from an early age and would often help her father in his work and everyone became used to seeing the vet and his daughter visiting farms and stables all over the area. Kenna was not very close with her mother who was much more strict and exacting and very religious. She was a strict Catholic and expected her daughter to be the same and she disliked her daughters passion for animals and the outdoors. Isla Ross was expected her daughter to behave like a proper girl and not run wild climbing trees etc. Her father respected his wife's beliefs but he also ensured that his wife did not restrict their daughter too much and ensured that Kenna enjoyed her childhood.
A year ago things changed dramatically when her father died suddenly from a heart attack. The shock of losing her beloved father caused her mutation to activate and she went missing in the Highlands for several days before being found. She had been overwhelmed by the sudden change in her body as well as all the images she had begun receiving and the loss of her father. In essence she reverted to an animalistic state during that time and she essentially lived as an animal until found. Kenna was well known in the town and most had liked her and knew her well but those same people were horrified to learn that she was a mutant. The town was a strongly religious community and a large number of the town believed mutants were unnatural and therefore unwelcome. Kenna's mother was one of these people and she made it very clear that Kenna was no longer welcome in her home.
Luckily for Kenna her uncle Iain (her father's brother) had returned home for the funeral of her father and once he was told about Kenna he offered to take her in. Iain lived in America and he soon realised that Kenna needed help to learn about her abilities and how to control them. He arranged for her to attend the school for gifted youngsters. Kenna had just turned seventeen when she joined the school and she is struggling to adapt to another new home. She keeps expecting someone to tell her that she has to leave and go somewhere else.

Other: Kenna has a strong Scottish accent which some Americans find difficult to understand.
Kenna spends most of her free time in the schools grounds with the various animals that live there and unfortunately for her room mate Kenna often ends up with several of them in her room curled up with her.
