Primrose Terrace

Yay! New people arrived while I was away. *pops balloons* Sorry I was late to the party. I tend to... disappear at times... eheh. Thankfully, my trusty Co-GM is around and helpful as always. ^^

@Boop_Im_A_Dragon and @Blazion - accepted. Feel free to post in IC.
A summary of important events:
1. Kimiko and Gin went out to have lunch, but were attacked by a Rabisu. The Rabisu was poisoned by Jaki (who hasn't made an appearance in IC yet, she's just working in the background) and thus went into a frenzy to attack.
2. Capello saved the day.
3. Gin was injured. The Rabisu's poison made her high. Now she's loopy.
4. Yuen was dramatically "blinded" by cleaning fluid in the kitchen. Thankfully, Feli and Victor helped him.
5. Everyone (excluding Yuen and Feli) is now at the lounge, discussing about forming partners so that if future attacks happen, no one will be unprotected.
**Oh, also, Capello, Kimiko, and Marie have been at Primrose Terrace for years and know each other fairly well. Yuen, Feli, Victor and Gin are the newer residents.

Did I miss anything? ^^' If you guys just skim through the posts on page 4, you'll get most of what has happened.

@Deadcruiser - I have no problems with him being a dhampir, but his regeneration must be toned down as Spawnling has discussed. It has the potential to be OP. :)

I'm interested in this. I would like more info on the types of characters or creatures that would fall under the heading of "yokai". Are we simply talking about people who are half demon, or can they be partly descended from other sorts of mythilogical creatures, such as fae or something?

Yes, they can be partly descended from any mythological creature. There is more information in the OOC. ^^

At first glance, Primrose Terrace seems like an ordinary apartment building. Surrounded by a well-maintained garden with a small pond in the corner, its primrose bushes line its borders among the tall trees. The building itself is ten stories high, with a rooftop swimming pool, a luxurious lounge on the ground floor, and of course, fully furnished studio apartments. However, don't let its picturesque appearance fool you...for each of the residents of Primrose Terrace have a secret.

They're not human.

Every few years, a descendant of Yokai is born. It is believed that the family in which they are born, becomes very prosperous. The child is thus heavily protected, and raised in a sheltered environment, for the dangers to its life are many. Not only are their existence from humans to be kept a secret, but they must also be protected from pure-blooded yokai, as these descendants are half-human and not well received by the "supernatural community".

Once they come of age, most of these children choose to live on their own, away from the bindings of their family. However, they could not live anywhere they pleased as the dangers to their life were far too many. Thus, Primrose Terrace came into existence - a high security apartment building where humans with demon/spirit ancestors, or yōkai, reside, each guarded by their own bodyguard.

So, who are you in this story? A bodyguard sworn to protect your partner from harm? A descendant of a yokai just looking to make a life of their own? ...or are you one of the enemy?

I guess I could put up a thread in the interest check to see if I can get new people to join. Or we could introduce more characters ourselves.

We don't celebrate Halloween here, but that's a shame, because we had a country-wide blackout (still going on) and it would've made for some spoopy moments. XD

Marie's stare was menacing enough to make Kimiko shake in her boots, even though she wasn't the one at fault. The maid appeared motherly, and even quite ditzy at times, but gods, she could be quite scary when she was angry.

"A R-Rabisu attacked G-G-Gin," Kimiko stuttered at first as she looked up at the bakeneko. Squaring her shoulders, she continued more clearly as she stepped by her and walked towards the fridge. "Capello saved us, but he's hurt too. They're in the lounge."

It was then that she noticed the figure writhing noiselessly on the ground behind Marie. Is he playing some sort of game? she wondered, frowning at him. Well, it wasn't important now, Gin was in need of help. Grabbing a cold compress, she turned round and headed towards the lounge, passing the other tenants on her way. She briefly glanced at them but paid them no mind. There would be time to talk later...hopefully.

Entering the lounge, Kimiko blinked in confusion when she noted that Gin was alone. Where did that fox run off to? she wondered with a heavy sigh. Nearing the couch where the kitsune lay, the Ame-Onna pressed the compress onto her warm forehead in hopes of helping her cool down.
