Want me to post first or will someone else explain things to Vata ?

Go ahead and post whenever you want, generally if nobody else says to wait for them, it's safe to post whenever you feel like it.
Vata sat quietly at the table while the meeting went on, trying to take in everything that was going on so then he could try and better understand the situation in this strange place. There were a number of unfamiliar people and strange things that came and went, most notably the bizarre wolf-like creature, which reacted strangely to a couple of objects shown by the even more bizarre device that seemed to project three dimensional images into the air. The wolf-like thing also made some strange gestures that Vata couldn't quite make sense of, but a few others at the table seemed to understand it. A moment later it left the room, and then a strangely dressed woman took its place. To Vata, it seemed like the longer he stayed here, the stranger things got.

Among the objects shown by the seemingly magical device was Vata's own bag that he kept some of his books and writing tools in. Unfortunately, it had seen much better days, and it was likely that some of his belongings inside had been ruined. He figured that it may be best to bring it up after the meeting, so then he could assess what had been lost or made unusable. However, despite the thought of some of his precious belongings in the bag being damaged, it comforted him somewhat seeing that he had something from his own world that hadn't been lost, something that made this world feel just a little bit less alien to him.

With all the talk of things they didn't know about the event, Vata began to wonder if there was something he could do to help. Then, he caught wind of the conversation regarding the arcane symbols the group found at the grisly site of the ritual. It seemed like the monk knew a bit about them, but he didn't seem to be entirely certain about what he was looking at. Vata felt the Spirit of Inspiration stir inside of him at this, realizing that this could be his chance to help with the investigation of the event, albiet indirectly. Despite the potential dangers involved in going back to that horrible castle that he would much rather forget about, he felt strangely calm, and more surprisingly, confident. Putting his nearly empty mug of coffee aside, he finally spoke up, brushing his jitters and nervousness aside.

"I think I may be able to help decipher those symbols. I don't know anything about them, but there's something I can do which can help anyone that has any experience with arcane symbols like them. It's...difficult to explain, and would require some time for me to explain how it works, so I'll leave it until after the meeting."

Then, Vata heard a creaking noise, and an odd, unfamiliar voice said "Hi." When he turned to look at who said that, the confidence he felt just a moment ago was replaced by a mixture of disgust and surprise as he laid eyes upon the massive, grotesque creature that just appeared at the conference table. Shocked, he blurted out something that he probably would regret saying later.

"Spirits preserve, what is that...thing that just appeared at the table?"
I'll try to get a post up in the next day or two.
Currently in the middle of finals, I'll catch back up with everything on Friday.
I'll work on a post this weekend, I've been pretty busy since it's just a couple weeks before finals.

Edit: Post won't be coming this weekend, I probably won't have time to post until next weekend.
As Vata was drinking his coffee, lights in the room suddenly dimmed, from some unknown cause. The technology here was unlike anything he had ever seen, and he wished he could have lights that did not drip wax or risk burning things when he was in his own world. Twain began speaking, summarizing many of the things Vata already knew, that is, they were stuck on this world, and that what dragged them all here was bizarre to say the least. Behind Twain was a glowing image of what he could only assume to be the wrecked castle that Twain's team had saved them from. After Twain finished briefing them on what had happened at the castle and their current situation, he suggested that they work together to find a way home, but before Vata could respond, he was distracted by the conversation between a strange being of light and a man he didn't recognize. When the strange light thing described, and asked about the differences in appearance between a man that entered the room a moment ago and a girl that he didn't recognize, Vata stifled a laugh. It was apparent that the ball of light had never encountered humans before, but somehow it was able to speak the same language as them. It reminded him of the way the Spirits could appear to people, although they typically manifested themselves in the shape of something, such as an animal, instead of as an amorphous ball of light. The being intrigued him, and he could feel a faint acknowledgement from the Spirit of Inspiration expressing a similar interest, but then his attention was diverted back to another person speaking in the room.

A woman requested that they join the organization that she, and Twain were a part of. They called it "trident," a name he found odd. What was a trident, and what significance did it bear to the group? Vata pushed that question to the side, it could come later, as this presented the best opportunity of finding a way back home. Putting down his cup of coffee, he answered the woman's request.

"I would gladly offer to help your organization, even if we do not succeed in finding a way back to our own worlds. While I don't know what sort of special skills I have to offer that would help in your endeavors, the very least I can do to repay your assistance is to offer my own."
Don't worry, I'm still here, but I'm really busy this week, probably won't be able to get anything out until Friday, unfortunately.
Having a sudden case of writer's block, and homework. I'll give it another shot tomorrow, otherwise just pass on me.
Post coming this weekend, have some stuff going on until then that'll probably keep me from posting.
Vata was one of the first from the group of people in the hallway to walk into the meeting room. The smell of food and drink was irresistible to him. He tried not to dwell on the fact that he didn't recognize any of the food here, or the fact that the coffee tasted pretty strange. All that mattered is that he was finally getting some food in him, and that he was somewhere safe. There were a lot of unfamiliar faces in the room, and many of the familiar ones seemed uneasy here, despite the seemingly pleasant environment. Vata took a seat, finishing off a bagel, and attempted to look unaffected by the slight tension in the room. Despite that, he started to fidget a little bit while he was waiting at the table.
