Appearance: Of average height with a lithe build leaning towards femininity, Jack does not inspire fear. Smooth, pale gray skin with naturally messy black hair and childishly wide eyes that struggle to look menacing even when they’re angry only aid this. Two fangs poke down from his mouth, one of which is ever so slightly crooked. His tail is fairly long, able to wrap around his feet comfortably, and while he tries to keep it in check, it can occasionally act as an obstruction.
His uniform is the standard dark blue overlaying a kevlar vest. His sidearm is kept holstered at his right hip. He often wears a black bolero, once belonging to his mother and gifted to him when he left home. It fits his head like a glove, and the inside bears a sewn-in inscription: “Bite”.

Personality: Jack is the type of person who unironically hangs motivational posters in his room. He follows his routines like rituals, respects his elders, eats his vegetables, and happily reads from an “optimistic quote of the day” calendar every morning. Most of his conversations begin with smiles and “how-do-you-do’s”, despite the likelihood of them ending on less than friendly terms.
He tends to pick up on subtleties slowly, as evidenced by his nickname, “Savvy”, which he gained by displaying next to none of during his time at the police academy. Though alert and attentive in most situations, it’s when he has to sit down and talk with someone that his naiveté and gullibility begins to show, especially in regards to hierarchies outside of established authorities.
Biography: Prior to his arrival in Earlton, Jack’s life was not one of incredible excitement. He grew up in a fairly structured household, fathered by a priest and mothered by a cop. As such, he held a very black-and-white moral philosophy until he developed an interest in following his mother’s footsteps. Over time, mostly due to the environment in which he was raised, his outlook grew optimistic, and he wholeheartedly believed in the mantra of “innocent until proven guilty”.
Much to the pride of his parents, Jack enrolled to the police academy the day he turned twenty-one. Graduation came quickly, and with it his excitement only grew. Unfortunately, there was little work available in his home city, and so he was faced with a choice: spend the foreseeable future working in a menial capacity, or venture out to a place where he could prosper.
The caravan didn’t come cheap, but he felt it was worth it. On the day he left, his mother placed her old hat upon his head and wished him luck. Deep down, even if he didn’t want to admit it, Jack knew it would be the last time he ever saw her, or his father again.
Currently it’s his first week on the “force” in Earlton. He’s yet unsure what to think of the place, aside from it being a fair bit dirtier than his home, and is almost laughably unaware of his poor judgement.
