Took up Aviation Science in Eugene out of high school. After getting his degree joined US Army Aviation because “that's where the flying was.” Recruiter noted exceptional marks in technical areas but telling signs psychologically. Observed recruit did not come across as “fully cognizant” of the kind and gravity of decisions encountered in the field. Built up a glowing record on the back of technical and administrative skills assigned to units in the CONUS and Japan before acceptance into 160th SOAR. First few weeks deployed in West Asia passed without incident until a mission to relieve a besieged outpost. Barely made it back to base with a badly-damaged aircraft from his insistence on rescuing trapped civilians. Avoided court martial but reassigned to non-flying duties after recovering from injuries. Worked from a desk at Fort Campbell researching and planning for contingencies immediately before volunteering to coordinate air support from the ground for the force entering Valhalla City.
SKILLS: Military pilot and technician. Has served in the Army eight years including two with the Nightstalkers but with little exposure to combat. Third mission into a combat zone recently resulted in reassignment from flying duties. Qualified with helicopters, fixed-wing transport aircraft, and tilt-rotors. Aviation degree. Passed special forces training with average scores. Excellent eyesight. Draws in his spare time.
LIKES: Flying, the outdoors, comic books and geeky shit.
DISLIKES: Politicians and other liars and cheats.
REASON FOR VOLUNTEERING: “I'm still a soldier. Sir.”
