I'd say that since Lycan are descendant of Werewolves, it would react to it, but probably not as much as the latter. Of course, that is to assume if Lore-wise Lycans are still tied to either the moon or the night in itself. I'll leave it up to you, since we seem to have quite a good amount of freedom over the races we are playing.
When Malakaus was finished speaking with the stranger who called herself Taimane, he was heading towards the group at the hill. Illistrianna cheerfully walked beside him, but she stopped for a minute when something in the corner of her eyes caught her attention. It was her silver bracelets she was wearing around her wrists. One was a chain with a full moon hanging loosely; the other was a band made of silver with the symbol of a crescent moon engraved on it. They were glowing faintly with the color of a pale moon light. Her eyes widened in shock as she saw this. Her jewelry that were in fact her weapons in sealed form would only glow this way if there were any kind of Lycanthropic creature in the area. Her eyes scanned the area for any sighting of such a creature, but she could see none. Was it hiding somewhere?

The elven priestess shook her head. No, she couldn’t afford to be distracted right now. She had to meet up with the group first. With a slow pace, she joined up behind her newly-made Orc friend just as he had finished introducing himself.

Illistrianna was impressed by the number of people that had gathered for what would have first seemed to be a rather simple quest. Things are not what they seem to be… she recalled in her head a familiar voice that often repeated this sentence, in her dreams.

The first person she had set her sights on was the strange man that had been sitting on the hill just as they arrived. A giant of a man, even taller that Malakaus, with red skin and long black hair. The most striking feature beside his skin was the antlers he had on his head. Illistrianna had never met such a person before; she wondered what race he could be. Something about him bothered her though. A strange, dark and sad aura she could feel emanating from him. She was definitively at unease when she gazed upon him.
@BKBurke

Next was one of the three who were standing at the edge of the hill, who have seemed to be looking at them as the odd trio approached the group. A rather plain-looking hunter who had them been watching with cold and dispassionate eyes. The elven maiden wondered if he was just in a bad mood.
@Cynder

Next to the insensitive-looking human was another one, this one however looked to be the complete opposite. A man of bright appearance, the fire of a burning passion in his eyes and an aura that exuded kindness. The Moon Elf could definitively see herself being on good terms with someone like that.
@Jensoman

The third person to have been on looking on the hill was a rather normal, albeit short, looking woman. She had the allure of a wandering mercenary, but there was something a bit off coming from her. Illistrianna couldn’t exactly put a finger on exactly what it was.
@LissaLu

There were plenty of other adventurers standing on the hill, but the four already at the edge of the hill, plus Malakaus standing tall as well, made it difficult to see who they were. It didn’t matter much for now, what was important was to introduce herself to the others, Illistrianna figured. There will be plenty of time from now on to get acquainted with the others.

“And I am Illistrianna Alderine. I am delighted to finally meet you all.” The priestess cheerfully added to Malakaus’ introduction.
I definitively am willing to help out fleshing out the world. I wrote a bit about the elven homeland of the Moon Elves, and wouldn't mind adding more bits to it the more we progress down the RP.
"It would seem that person over there needs entrance into the city also. I have a gut feeling that she's on our quest too."

Illistrianna nodded in approval, her head turning towards the source of the conflict they have been hearing over by the gates. This one lady seemed to have even less patience than both the Elf and the Orc united. Fearing this would turn into a needless bloodbath, the elven priestess followed Malakaus closely behind. Again, she was surprised by how cool-demeaned the Orc was compared to the tales that has been told about his kind. He had a way to approach people with some smooth and class. The more she was hearing him, the more she believed he could actually be a bard.

While Malakaus was busy being diplomatic with the would-be short-tempered troublemaker, Illistrianna walked to the guards to have a talk with them.

"I apologize for the trouble our friend here have brought you. Could you reconsider letting all of us in? We are in a hurry, for we are heading to join with the rest of our group. Surely you have been warned by your superiors about adventurers coming this morning to help the quest in his time of need, have you not?" the young diplomatic maiden told the guards, handing them Malakaus' flyer that she still held on ever since he gave it to her earlier.

The friendlier of the two guards stepped up to the Moon Elf, leaving his comrade to keep an aye on the other two strangers, and took the flyer from Illistrianna's hand. After examining it for a minute, he glanced back at the blue-skinned lady with a surprised look.

"Well, your paper sure has suffered a lot during your travel, but I can still recognize the Adviser's handwriting. I'm surprised he took the time himself to make something addressed to the public. But I can't understand why you'd want to go inside the city. I was told your meeting point would be at that hill over there." The guard pointed towards the hill, where a rather large group of people had already gathered. In fact, some seemed to have been looking their way, surely attracted by the commotion that had happened.

"I-is that so? I'm sorry, I didn't know the meeting point was there. Thank you for your assistance."

Illistrianna was baffled. She didn't even know she was so close to the group to begin with. As a matter of fact, she had even glanced their ways more than a few times already. This explained why she saw so many people going to the hill this early in the morning. But she wondered why so much people? Did it really required such a large group to find medecine? Perhaps they were meant to be split up in several searching groups. One of them surely knew the details of the mission. Only one way to find out, she figured.

"Let's go meet our new comrades then!" the enthusiastic moon elf priestess exclaimed with excitement.
The young elven Luna priestess listened intently to what Malkaus was telling. While she was expecting him to tell the places he had seen and where his next stop would be, she never actually expected him to hand her some crude-looking flyer. She took the flyer from the orcish bard's hands and read the paper.

Her eyes widened the more she read about the quest that was detailed on the letter. He was actually going after the same quest as she did! With a glitter of excitement in her eyes, Illistrianna enthusiastically took hold of the big green man's strong hands.

"C-could you be the sign I was waiting for? I was also led here, to help a group of people in their quest to save this land from the flames of chaos that is to come. But I had no idea where to go, and the guards refused to let me into the city earlier. Our meeting must have been fate!"
You're already shipping characters together this early in the RP? I SHALL NOT ALLOW IT!

MALAKAUS used CHARM!

Illistrianna is confused. She hit herself in the confusion!

ILLISTRIANNA used AIRHEAD!

It is super effective!

Sorry Lucie, you'll have to work harder on wooing that poor airhead of an Elf. But hey, I left the door open for more. Malakaus left a rather good impression on her. She loves music, art and dancing.

As for the editing, I shall review my posts later on and try to correct them as best as I can.

And yes, I totally brought my laptop at work and managed to type a post during my breaks.
Illistrianna was taken aback for a second when she heard what sounded like poetry coming from the Orc. She didn't want to think of such racist thoughts, but she had heard his kin being crude and brutish. Well, now that she was thinking about it, weren't she ben told they were quite feral and bestial-looking? The one standing in front of her sure looked imposing and a bit intimidating, but he was far from what the young elf had heard from her kinsman. Plus, his manner of speech didn't sound much of a brute, but rather that of a poet?

Maybe was he a travelling bard? That must explain the sudden poem he just recited to her. Or so she seemed to believe he was saying, ignoring completly what the would be Orc bard's true meaning behind his words.

"Ah yes, the moon can really be of such beauty some nights. So tell me, Mr. Malakaus, where do your travels bring you, to be awake so early in the morning, if not to watch the sunrise?" Illistrianna asked, curious as to where this travelling bard might be going next.

Who knows, perhaps she would have been joining him on his travels if it was not for the journey she was just about to embark.

@Lucius Cypher
Yeah.

If you guys could keep your posting to a minimum while we wait for everyone to show up, I would be greatly appreciative. Reading walls of text can be rather imposing and something important can easily be missed.

Once everyone shows up, it should pretty much be open season with responses.

Must...resist...urge... TO POST!

It's okay, I'll wait until I get up this evening to see if most have posted. Don't want to keep Lucius waiting after me for too long though.

<Snipped quote by Cynder>
I'll refrain from posting again today. I'll probably get to one post a day during the work days again anyway :P

Same will apply to me. Starting my work week tonight. Unless I type during my breaks, but I highly doubt it.
Watching the sun slowly rising from the horizon, Illistrianna was entranced in some way. This was one of her favourite time of the day. This natural beauty was something to behold, she always thought. Just as the moon lights up the sky at night and offers its benevolent light to those who can’t unravel the secrets in the dark, the sun gave brushes away the darkness and gives life to all. Rare were the times she actually was awake during the day to witness the sun in its fullest glory. She only recently had the opportunity to do so as she had left the village.

However, a strange sight broke her trance. There was a gathering on a nearby hill. Normally she’d make out well what kind of people they were with her enhanced elven sight, but the early rising sun’s glare blinded her when she tried to look over the mound of earth. She wondered what these people could be doing at this time of the morning. Despite having good hearing, she couldn’t listen to what was being said, their spoken words sounding like the lowest of whispers. They are not only a bit too far for her to listen, but also a few levels above her as well.

As she finished eating her apple while watching more and more people gathering on the hill, the elven maiden was taken by surprise. A low-pitched male voice came from beside her of a sudden. In her surprise, her back jerked straight, too suddenly. The back of her head hit the bark of the tree she was sitting against, making a thudding noise.

“Ow ow ow ow ow!” the priestess repeated, face cringing and teeth clenching.

Her face turned to the source of the voice that took her by surprise. It was a large man; a high-collared black rugged cloak turned brown from dust and dirt accumulated from travels that covered most of his body, as if to protect him from the weather’s condition. However, she could make out a bit of his head, mostly the upper part, or rather mostly his black hairm from her sitting point of view. It was when he bowed his head after asking her name that she could make out his facial features. Tusks, green skin and pointy ears. No doubt about it, he was an Orc!

Recovering from the pain subsiding, she couldn’t help but giggle at this silly scenario. She had never met Malakaus’ kin before, but she had heard plenty of stories about them from her village. She never thought her first meeting with one would surprise her as such with their legendary straight-forwardness.

“I-I’m sorry sir, you surprised me!” She said nervously, quickly getting up on her feet to greet the orcish stranger. “I am Illistrianna Alderine, from Sylvyst. It is a pleasure to meet you!” She said, bowing politely with modesty. “Indeed. I do not know why they aren’t letting anyone pass at night, but I guess they have their reasons, as frustrating as it is.” Illistrianna replied, apparently a bit upset as she was reminded of that fact.

“Although it’s not much of a problem. At least I get to watch this beautiful scenery unfolding before our eyes. Have you come to watch the sunset as well, Mr. Malakaus?” She said, with a soft smile of her own.

@Lucius Cypher
With the darkness of the night quickly fading, the dawn of a new dawn arose from the horizon. It is with a quick prayer, hands held closely to her heart, that Illistrianna welcomed the harbinger of a new day. She had been up early this morning, a habit she had to take considering the adventure she was about to undertake. Moon Elves are nocturnal, for they celebrate and pray to their moon goddess, Luna. It was unknown to her if her kin was made this way, or if their devotion to night deity forged them this way. She was, however, convinced that they needed to be this way, for it was their duty to fight the evil lurking in the dark.

The moon Priestess had made a rather small crude camp not too far from the city, but it was all she really needed to rest. She wasn’t an individual of fancy tastes, and she was nervous about thinking of sleeping in town, she who was very accustomed to the wilderness of the forest. Illistrianna figured it would be better to have a clear mind before embarking on this new journey, before finding her comrades-to-be. At least that’s what the King’s agents told her. She had no idea where to look for, but it was told that when the time would come, they would be guided to the start of their mission.

In the meantime, the elven maiden figured it would be nice to visit this city while she had the chance. In her past years of travelling, she had visited plenty of towns, but none could compare to the majestic sight standing not too far away from her camp. It had to be expected from the city where the king resides. She was quite curious as to how people live in such a town. Is it all cramped up in there? Is it just as lively as she was told? Are the people there being taken care of just as better as in villages? She had so much questions in her mind that she just realized now how she looked like some kind of country girl that knew very little of human civilization on a larger scale than villages.

Packing her small tent, bedroll and blankets into her travelling bag, Illistrianna made her way cheerfully towards the city. As she was approaching the city’s walls, she could hear to sound of the populace inhabiting this area. It lacked the peacefulness of her village at dawn. Were they preparing something special for today? Or was it always this lively in big cities even early in the morning? She couldn’t wait to find out.

With every step, the sister was approaching fast. From an outside point of view, one could mistake her for being in a hurry, but in fact, she was just anxious, and her walking pace was bordering a jog. She noticed faintly in the penumbra of the rising sun three individuals, standing on the outskirts of the capital. With a cheerful smile and bright enthusiasm, she waved a brief salute at the three men talking to each other.

As Illistrianna approached the gates of Naviance’s capital, she was greeted by two soldiers, gate guardians as they were.
“Halt! By the laws of the city, none may enter the capital until the sun has risen. Go back now, and return later.” The first guard said with high authority in his voice.

“But… it is morning already! Don’t you see the sun rising from the earth, far away?” Illistrianna answered, frustrated beyond belief to have her path cut off so abruptly.

“Sorry little miss. We’re just doing our job. We can’t let strangers go in right now. Come back when the sun has risen up completely. You can wait at the inn just right down that road, take a meal and talk with the other travelers in the meantime.” The second guard said, this one a bit more courteous and less aggressive in his tone compared to the other.

Sighing, Illistrianna resigned from going inside the capital right now. These two looked so stubborn in their duties that she doubt she could make them change their mind. Were cities’ guards all so stern and rigid like that?

There was a lone tree on the very edge of town, near the road. The Moon Elf figured she might wait there until she could go in. She tossed her bag against the tree and sat against it, legs curled to her chest. She was annoyed by this turn of events, but at the same time, she could understand the guards’ duties. They probably just can’t let anyone enter so easily like that. It is the city where the King lives after all.

Illistrianna sighed once again, softly, and reached out for her bag, blindly searching. Figuring that it was no good being is such a mental state, the priestess just decided to take it easy and watch the sunrise as she provided an apple from her bag.

She really wondered what it was like inside the city though, and what was waiting for her.
