Looking around at the mess the instructor made, Akasha realized that while they did come deafeated at the trials, the others seemed to have already put the test in the past and it was time to get a move on. While the idea of having been defeated didn’t really suit her, she agreed that it was now in the past and they had to move forward and get stronger for the next time it would happen. Plus, even the instructor complimented the lot he just pulverized, something that she felt had meaning considering just how dispassionate the man seemed to be.
The others slowly recovering, some mentioned something like going to grab breakfast. Now that she was thinking about it, the young amazon was getting hungry as well. The off-road trek she took in order to reach here had been long and kept her on edge, but with the battle just now, she started to feel starved. The animal inside her craved for juicy meat. Perhaps there were plenty of game in the neighbouring forests? If so, perhaps breakfasts here included such food, she hoped. She wasn’t much of a vegetarian, although she did enjoy vegetables and fruits from time to time.
Settled with having a meal right now, Akasha happily stepped towards the school, but she stopped as he gaze could not let go of the few other students who were either lying unconscious on the ground or were seemingly too weakened to walk on their own. The others seemed uninterested in helping those people, either be it because of their own weaknesses, pride, apathy or simply sheer hate.
“So even in civilization, it’s the law of the jungle, huh?” Akasha muttered. She knew all too well of that feeling. The strongest strive while the weakest are left behind and eventually get eaten.
It was a way of life she had learned ever since being of young age. Being one of the weakest amazons, she knew what it was like to be left behind and barely being able to survive another day in the wilderness. And yet here she was, among humanity’s gifted and strongest. If there was something she had learned from her childhood, it’s to not become arrogant because of the power you had. One should not only strive for their own survival, but also the others.
With such in mind, Akasha made her way towards an unconscious Nico and a weakened Mikhail. The two seemed like close friends, but from the way it was now, it didn’t seemed like they could help each other now. Crouching just beside the guy she knew as “Glasses”, the shape-shifting amazon took the guy in both arms and lifted him with surprising ease. By the gods, just how much was he weighing? It felt like she was lifting two full potato bags on her shoulder, something she was used to carry back in her village. Truly, this guy needed to eat more healthily and gain some more weight.
Swinging unconscious Glasses over her shoulder, one could clearly see the developed muscles bulging out from the amazon’s arms, suggesting how much physical training she must have had despite how gentle her current appearance showed. Then, the wilderness girl turned to his friend and extended her arm for him to grab and help getting up.
“We all go eat together, right?” Akasha said with a cheerful smile, barely looking bothered by the weight she was carrying over her shoulder.
