A big happy giant arrived! Like I said, very simple, but I do like to reveal more of the character in-game. Has plenty of room for development too since, you know, he's just a simple man.

I have no class, because I'm just that kind of degenerate 🤪

I'll have a relatively simple CS up in a few.
@redraider1 has yet to post anything else than possible interest
@Riffus Maximus interested and posted a CS
@King Cosmos expressed interest and ideas
@Sniblet interested and posted 2 CS
@Waldganger interested with some ideas
@Archangel89 interested with a few ideas
@6slyboy6 interested and posted a CS

I believe that's pretty much the potential list of your interested party so far.
Mm, in this RP I don't think sob-story motivations or existential angst are really anything to have to worry about-- we're all here for the same reason. Just that when one typically imagines a villain, it is usually a Guy who Wants Something. Easier to write around than a Something that May Or May Not Want Anything, you feel me?

I think that's exactly what makes the best villains. They know what they want, and what makes them villains is the ways they try get it. Doesn't matter to me if they have a "sob story" or they're just plain lunatics, it's better to have diversity in each villain's motive instead of everyone being "mwhahaha, I have the power, hence I have to rule over all". Heck, villains are the heroes of their own story. Some of them might think this is for a righteous cause.

I believe so far every character I've read leans more on the side of "doing what's best for their own interests and world" than just being plain homicidal. Not that it's a bad thing mind you. I also can appreciate the trope of a psychopathic maniac causing mass genocide just for the fun of it.
I believe I might have a character for this setting. Huge man, son of blacksmith, enslaved to work in the mines to settle a colossal family debt, keeps daydreaming of a free man's wishes, like lying down in the grass under the sun, coming home to a wife and kids, working the forge and so on.
I also happened to have made a draft for my character. It ended up being longer than I wanted, I got inspired to finally use this character that I stashed in my vault for so long hahaha

@The World Thanks for your interest. Once you've finished reading, let me know if you have any questions or ideas.

As for everyone else, what would help to drive interest and discussion right now? Options:

Character Sheet (First Draft)
Sample Character
Sample Plane
More Lore
???

Well I would have a few lore and mechanics questions, if you may.

Is it known to the characters why this entity is named Chaos? For a being whose apparent purpose is to conquer all under one rule, it kinda feels like it would unify this whole mess of planes into a single banner. Would it be far-fetched for a character to believe Chaos' design is one of true order?

Is it possible for a plane to host more than a single shard of chaos? Does these shards bring some sort of knowledge about the master. Does Chaos have an actual physical form?

For the long-lived races, just how long ago was Creation shattered into pieces, just to not overlap a character's age with the creation of its homeworld.

Is it possible to play more than a single character? I've seen something about using the character's homeworld ressources to their disposal, so I guess it would be likely for the characters who are more of leader types to bring their generals and subordinates from their conquered homeworld into others, unless the Archons are only able to travel alone?
@Riffus Maximus Thank you for your interest. Do you have an antihero in mind?

If you permit it, I have a world I designed that could function as a Plane. My character would be a sorceress who already had dubious morality and then got corrupted by the shard of chaos, becoming the conqueror of her home plane. She's an elf with the powers of arcane magic and necromancy, specializing in the binding of souls. What she doesn't convert to her army (into soulless thralls or undead followers), she pulverizes using strong magic fueled by captured souls.
Paint me interested. A fresh change from playing heroes.
