Alain kept his life drain on as the argument continued, slowly coming to realize that it wasn't working on the groudon avatar.
He wondered if the food she was eating was cancelling out the drain. Raising his hand slightly, he considered upping the drain speed, before realizing that it might hurt. He didn't want that to happen...
Suddenly, the Groudon avatar got up and left, solving Alain's dilemma for him. Breathing a sigh of relief, he tried to make himself comfortable again, making sure to deactivate the drain field first.
As he sat there, he realized he was beginning to feel a little...odd. He bent over double for a moment, his hand on his stomach. What was this feeling? Why on earth would he feel it now, when he was in a good mood...
Exo watched him for a moment.
You know, we should have thought this through. When was the last time you ate...anything?, let alone stuff this rich.
Alain turned to him. Now his insides were really starting to feel...bad.
"What do you mean by that? Are you saying that..."
"Yep. You might want to find a bathroom."
Excusing himself with a few stutters and apologies, Alain hurried away from the table, trying not to show the pain he was in. He rushed through a door, then another one. Then another one.
"Where is the bathroom!?!?"
As he ran around, he noticed a bowl of fruit on a shelf. Grabbing an apple, he drained it in less than a second. It made him feel a little better, but it would only hold the pain back for the next ten minutes or so. Unless he found some other food to drain. He ran to another door and...found himself outside. Another wrong turn.
He would have smacked his head against a wall out of sheer frustration if he hadn't noticed a figure a short distance away, and realized, to his more than mild horror, that it was the Groudon avatar. He hadn't quite realized why she left, and despite his earlier predicament, he couldn't help asking her.
"Is...are...you alright? I don't know if they are serving anything after the dinner...you might want to go back, er....for it. You know, if there is anything...which there might be for all i know..."
