Adam Harper
The Sight
Location: Sentinel HQ
Adam was a little taken aback by their responses, opening his mouth now and again, only to close it without saying a word. These people had seemed to be among the more interesting, which was the reason he had bothered to talk to them in the first place. He could introduce himself to the rest when he was finished with this lot, but...this didn't seem to be going well. At all.
At last he spoke. It was taking every ounce of the near non existent restraint he had not to snap at the emo looking one calling him a girl. He was not a girl! Why did everyone think that? He hardly had the...parts. His work suit was fairly tight, it was easy to tell. Then again, he wasn't wearing that now.
"Hm." he finally said.
"I was under the impression that various off-colour humour was a good way to make friends. Its the only part i really enjoy and am good at, so i decided to do it first. Would it have been better to introduce myself first?"He rolled his eyes. He hated dealing with people more than anything else in the world.
"Ill try compliments. Those often work.""Ahem..." he muttered, before turning to the pirate.
"Im sure your ship is very...piratey. Im sure your crew are some of the best looters and pillagers in the business. The business of looting and pillaging. If thats a real business."He turned to the...whatever the skull faced person was. This one was going to be difficult.
"Your...paint...face...thing. Its very scary."Finally, he turned to the third one, who he noticed had got a lot closer to him. He took a few steps back, feeling slightly uncomfortable. People didn't get near him a lot. Why was this person doing it? Was she going to hug him or something? Adam did not like hugs. He didnt hear what she said, due to his near blinding rage over the "girl" thing. Probably wasn't anything important.
"Um..." he said again, thinking carefully about what to say.
"Thats...a nice smile. Very bright. I wish i could smile like that." He shook his head, and changed the subject quickly.
"So...do you think they have food here? I could really go for something with meat in, right now."Alright, now he was trying to start a conversation. People liked conversations. That would probably make up for the failed attempt at humor beforehand. Then again, they might just hold idiotic grudges. Hopefully the compliments would have prevented that.
