Thanks for the interest guys!

To be honest, I'm too simple for this idea.
At the end of the day, would just prefer to do an anthro RP with start, goal, middle and end. Or something like that.
Coming up with ideas is a bit of a mission sometimes.
Once I think of something I'll come back and post a new thread :)

Man, sorry I disappeared for a few. Have some major IRL decisions to make and it's really stressful. That being said, I'm still in this. Really sorry for disappearing. I'll work on my bio a bit more :)

This is a provisional draft. I just wanted to get something up here.
I shall flesh it out more later on. I do need to read more of the background information you have linked.
So I apologised if what I have written is very rudimentary.

Name: Linden Vihix

Callsign/Nickname: Lindsey, Lind, Lindy, Vix

Age: 26

Species: Chipmunk

Appearance: Light blue furred rodent of medium height and build. Roughly 5’5. Has a mohawk hairstyle and wears a pair of red aviator goggles which is perpetually sat on his forehead rather than being used for practical purposes. Commonly wears a black business shirt, a red tie and average trousers/jeans. Wears fingerless gloves.



Bio: Linden is nonchalant and jovial for the most part, but overestimates his abilities and find himself being passively aggressive or sarcastic if he finds himself pulling the shorter straw or on the losing side of the battle. He’ll be sure to get even or revenge if anyone bullies him or plays him for a fool. His heart is in the right place however and even though he has a habit saying the wrong thing at the wrong time, those that get to know him properly will know to take him with a pinch of salt.

Service Record: Being the runt of his family, Linden has often wanted to prove to his family that he doesn’t need brawns or height to get by. At the time, his family having non-military backgrounds would laugh at him for his pipe dreams. Dismissing him as too weak and uneducated.
Having left home one day however after a divisive family feud, he finally turned his back on them to join the military, and contact was never made again for another 6 years.
Linden decided to return home one day after multiple attempts to make contact with them failed. Upon arriving to his former home he was born and raised in, he was horrified to find it had been completely deserted with no sign or sound of any of family.
Although he is still committed to the military and regards them as his true family, he is still determined to find out what exactly happened to his biological one and hopes that one day he will uncover the truth. Perhaps the sinister happenings and rising contentions of warfare today in Arvara have something to do with their disappearance.

Nice! That was swift. So glad this didn't drag out for like weeks like other RPs I've been in xD on the one hand we want interest checks, a thorough story but maintaining interests are a challenge.
On my way home from work but will msg that other chap. I think I'd prefer to partake in your RP than start one myself, will just be easier on my lifestyle.

I've had a reread of the intro and I am glad there's not going to be too much 'nit pickyness' of the technological aspects and
I do tend to prefer character driven RPs as well.

Did you want me to ask another friend of mine who may be interested in joining? I haven't known him that long but he was going
to join the RP I was going to set up. Or are you good for numbers at this point?

Sounds like it has some potential and could be interesting, I'd be willing to give it a shot.
I haven't read or watched the Hunger Games, but I've seen numerous other things based around the same kind of concept (The Running Man and Gamer leap to mind, among others). Sounds like it could be exciting and have some good depth.

Thanks for the compliments Blade. Don't worry it's not dependent at all and requires no prior knowledge on Hunger Games. Just more the aspect of how entertainment at the expense of others and its morality. Also the sharp divide between the classes of anthros. Something along those lines.

That being said now I may be spending more time focusing on your RP xP

Here is an intro. Let me know if any of you are interested and I'll flesh this out more and make a start obviously.
Don't really care if this is on earth or if this is a new world altogether. Whatever makes people happier. But I think
it'd be nice to formulate our own world.

This is somewhat inspired by the hunger games. Not a huge die hard fan of the series but the concept is interesting.

INTRO

Virtual reality dictates daily life in Santonia. An urban futuristic city with an affluent core where the wealthy and elite live in the central business district. A crying divide between the well-heeled anthromorphic beings whose expenses drip like milk and honey through their fingers without a care in the world, and the poverty struck who do what they can to make ends meet. If underpaid jobs on the clock were not enough to cover rent or bring food on the table, the urchins could expect to be found stealing, committing crimes. Or, gambling on the black markets.

The latter and lesser division would be found more towards the periphery of Santonia. The contrasting 3rd world environments scattered across numerous townships. Otherwise known as the ‘Shrapnel’.

Anthromorphic beings would often fight, either one on one or in gangs. Illegal street games of risk, matches between players outside of the government sanctioned tournaments as major underground sources of income.

When the rich start watching the brawls broadcasted from their television settings, the results are compelling. Bookeeping and bidding amongst the citydwellers brings in a whole new mainstream entertainment.

Although the virtual reality battles do not harm the players in anyway, the losing party find themselves sapped of their virtual currency and hard-earned gear.

A time did exist such that society was found to be more balanced and less totalitarian. Some speculate that before democratic voting was abolished since the last political administration was elected, that government was silently trying to push towards New World Order. Rumours concurring and begging the question as to why no aid is being leant to stop these inhumane games.

Thanks BurningDaisies. Have a few ideas but I need to narrow it down to a theme or two and come back and post here.
I may ask for ideas for what people want or I might get straight into it. We'll see how we go :)

Hey guys!! Sorry for the late replies. It's really great to see a hearty
interest here. That Mecha RP also sounds like it was awesome. Did it ever conclude?

Alright as for genre yes I'd consider Sci-fi, horror, psychological horror or anything along those lines. A general good vs evil to greater or lesser extents. No slice of life or high school settings. Was considering the latter but it is far too overdone in my opinion and if we're wanting something grittier, the high school setting wouldn't transition well. Well, it could but not without Cringefest.

I'd like it to be an adaptable setting though. Not you have to be a certain race from this setting. Maybe locations I would like to establish but with room for other people to build upon.

I'll post an intel and let you guys know when it's up! Then you can read and see if it's for you.
It's hard to truly define what I'm going for because the ideas only tend to arise when I start writing ^^
