That actually brings up a good point. I didn't realize that the crossbow guard and the guard making his way towards us were the same guard until your most recent IC post (which was brilliant by the way. I loved the brief glimpse into that guards past day.)

It was mostly a misunderstanding I suppose. But I'll try to be more perceptive in the future so as to not control other people's npc characters.

Other than that, so far so good?

@kalleth not trying to be confrontational, just trying to make sure I know what I did wrong so I don't repeat. Still kinda new to play by post.

Is it because I put interaction between bloonwb's character salim and Aleksander, or the npc guard and Aleksander?

If it's the former, I was going off of what bloonwb posted. My quote of salim was taken directly from him. If that's not ok, then I will avoid in the future. Still learning the ropes.

If the latter, I noticed other people dictating npc behavior, it seems a good way to move the narrative along. Again, still learning.

I appreciate any advice or help.

P.s. in tabletop we always referred to metagaming as dictating the characters actions with our of character information for an advantage. In play by post, does metagaming mean determining other people's characters actions? Just trying to get a grasp on the terminology. Thanks again.

Just then the thin brown man, Salim, cut him loose.

Aleksander took off his burlap sackcloth, his makeshift cloths, exposing his muscular, if not also husky build. This action was not without purpose, for the lone guard was almost upon them, and had in his hand a mid-length blade, some sort of falchion or messer.

Aleksander charged the guard, and just as he anticipated, the guard came down with an overhand swing only to get entangled with the burlap cloth in his target's hands. Aleksander countered with a vicious headbutt, staggering the guard, Aleksander however, retained the blade.

Sa'id was sitting in his booth at the Lo Pan's noodle hut. His fingers dancing away on his datapad, checking emails opening streams and blocking adds as he sipped away at his noodles.

Vid mail popped up, it was from his old buddy Johnny, or 6g for short. 6g was normally calm and cool, even in the face of an angry antipod. This wasn't the same jonny six-gun Sa'id fought along side, this person had meek posture, beta body language, and a shaky voice.

.. Hey Sa'id, what's up? I uhh.. I just wanted to see how you were doing.. probably good. You are always doing good, man.
I uhh. I was hoping you could see me sometime. Probably not.. anyway, I'll talk to you later. ..

Sa'id tossed his empty noodle carton in the bin as he strolled out into the streets of concillium and headed towards 0-12 bureau noir..
